Mir fehlen nur folgende Features für das feed display: die artikelvorschau unter dem Titel auszublenden, schriftart ändern und größe einstellen und ein Card Layout, also breite Thumbnail karten mit abgerundeten ecken, die aber vertikal etwas schmaler sind, mit Text Oberlay, wo der Artikel im Thumbnail auf einem schatten overlay steht, dann wäre ich wunschlos glücklich und würde auch gerne dafür bezahlen ### 4/5 — tv *2026-05-29* I’m glad the tv app was finally fixed a few months ago, but — unlike its iPhone and iPad counterparts — it lacks a category section, and ONLY shows sports (ESPN and Sky Sports) news… which I care nothing about. Please implement a categories tab/section so that I can thoroughly enjoy the app. ### 3/5 — Apple Watch app needs options *2026-01-30* I tried this specifically for the Apple Watch support. Right now my RSS apps don't sync across devices so I was hoping this would work to replace them. It's very AI forward which is not what I'm interested in. On the Apple Watch, tapping an article tries to load the entire website instead of a watch-friendly reader view. Most times the website won't load at all, and so it's not possible to read the full article which defeats the purpose. I'll have to continue looking for a solution **Developer response:** Thank you for such detailed feedback — it genuinely helps to understand how you're using the app. The Apple Watch experience is limited right now, and I hear the frustration: tapping through to a full website on the watch is far from ideal. In other rss reader the widget autonomously feed new headline into the widget, heading the preview. In this case I have to tap the widget and after tapping, pull to refresh. The widget has to refresh itself, and by tapping it, open the fresh new article, after exiting the article pull the top fresh stories imho EDIT: the widget now refresh itself (but always after long time). In addition if you customise your Home Screen (in example with dark tint icons black and white tint) the article picture is totally white. ### 3/5 — Good App but… *2025-02-24, version 1.1.5* I’m having trouble sync my iPhone and my iPad personal RSS. I bought the premium app and don’t regret it. Just hope to fix this iCloud bug to sync my folders. Further more, the app is great and very helpful to stay tune on the latest and not so greatest updates of the day. ### 4/5 — Generally a great experience *2025-02-16* Bulletin on Mac works just fine. However, I found the app on the Apple TV store seeking for a cross-platform solution (MacOS, iOS, tvOS). At this time the TV version unfortunately does not launch anymore. Would be neat to see a version update/bump for the full experience. Until then I settled on “News Explorer”. In my opinion there is room for both news readers as they follow different approaches and may even act complementary. Thank you, Shihab ### 2/5 — Appealing concept, partially realized *2025-01-04* Love the idea of summarized articles but this is missing a few important beats that I hope they improve on. 1) no way to indicate like / dislike articles in For You to help fine tune the list ongoing 2) no way to feedback on length, completeness of summaries. Many are too brief and miss key points relevant for a summary, making reading the full article much more necessary and defeating the app’s purpose. ### 2/5 — Excellent News App if You are Willing to Pay *2024-12-21* I’ve been looking for a good looking news rss app with some ai and shortcuts integration for a while and this is an absolute gem. The only disadvantage is due to there being not customisation of notifications apart from the default iOS settings. Which in turn means I’m getting Black Friday sale articles as notifications, which I don’t want. Edit: just realised this limits you to 20 articles and 5 ai summaries permanently and not per day so I’m out. Good app if you are willing to bring out your wallet. 2/5 **Developer response:** The notification filtering gap is a real one right now, and more customization options are coming in a future update — so that particular frustration should be addressed down the line. Occasionally, the app crashes when I try to open a webpage by clicking on a link. It would be great if this could be looked into, as it disrupts the otherwise great experience. This happens only at same added links in Germany maybe. Good app if you a willing to bring out your wallet. ### 2/5 — Can’t handle more than 1 feed *2024-10-30* Such a shame the ai summary is an amazing feature and so useful, however they have these predetermined categories that you have to unselect and when you add a custom feed plus a personalised predetermined feed nothing loads. It’s so disappointing. Cant see anything else on app. Needs a massive fix. **Developer response:** Really sorry this happened — crashing on import is a frustrating way to experience Bulletin, and I completely understand the 1-star. This issue has now been fixed in the latest update, so please give it another try after updating. Why pay for a news app when you can get it for free? I want my money refunded back. If anything persists, support@pixelfolio.app is the best way to get help. ### 1/5 — Ugly app *2024-10-16, version 1.1.4* I’m not a big fan of how the feeds are displayed in the boxed squares. It seems like the developers could use some modern design skills to improve the app’s appearance. ### 1/5 — Poor UI on iPad *2024-10-02* Update: I tried the free trial period and have determined that the AI summaries are very poor. They don’t summarize the main point of the article. It merely summarizes the beginning of articles which often do not get to the main point of the article in the first few paragraphs. The iPad still has the same horrendous UI with no customization in the app. —— I continually do not understand why RSS apps don’t use the full iPad screen in portrait orientation for reading articles. It should at least be an option to hide the sidebar. This issue alone makes it a hard pass from me. This app looks good at first, but after just a few minutes you realize how restrictive it is. It doesn’t allow you to hide categories and you can’t customize feeds beyond hiding them. It also doesn’t allow adding any feeds either as far as I can tell. And a personal nitpick of mine: I much prefer opening articles in Safari Reader view by default. It's a better UX in my opinion and provides consistency across the OS. It should at least be offered as option as some other apps do. **Developer response:** Hi there, Thank you for the constructive feedback and suggestions. I will take these onboard and reimagine the portrait layout for iPad to make better use of space. You can hide categories via the manage section, and you can hide or remove feeds from there too via long-press Context Menus. You can also add feeds by pasting URLs into the manage section there, or from the Share Extension via Safari and across your device. There's also a settings option to open articles in Safari reader mode directly when tapping to view them. Hope this helps! After over a year with no updates, and not a word from the developer – after reaching out multiple times – I’m glad to see some great work has been put into it. The only thing I would like to see implemented is the category functionality on tv as it is on iPhone and iPad; there were a few categories I don’t really care about, and would like to remove them from my feed/summary. Also, the Watch app stays stuck on the loading screen.
