However, there are extremely limited servers, and the app is outdated and has not received any updates. Would I recommend lifetime/this service to others? No, but it’s an ok VPN if you connect to the right servers. I won’t switch for now, but hopefully they’ll update the app soon. ### 2/5 — UK Servers Blocked *2025-01-16, version 2.1.8* Beware. The UK servers are blocked by sites such as BBC & BBC iPlayer. ### 2/5 — The app does not currently work *2024-04-23, version 2.1.8* The app does not currently work on iPhone cannot connect to no locations ### 1/5 — So much for that idea *2023-11-16* I discovered I had no internet one night, the next day I called my provider and was told my modem was outdated, but I should still be able to use the internet. After purchasing a new modem ($169+), I still had no internet. The tech from my provider was able to connect to my wireless no problem while I still couldn’t. We decided it had to be the VPN that was the problem, but I couldn’t get in to disconnect it without internet, so I deleted the app and everything went back to normal. So much for Bullet VPN, they can keep their lifetime subscription, I have absolutely no use for it. **Developer response:** Hi there, We are sorry to hear that you've had a bad experience with our service! Very predatory and dishonest. I used to give this 5 stars but then they added a lot of data collection, including data that is specifically linked directly to you. Data they do not need to collect to run their app. Until they go back to the checkmark with “data not collected” I can’t recommend and will be uninstalling. Shame on you guys. My thoughts so far: Good speeds. Nice app UI. No leaks. No disconnects. Wish it had adblock. Missing a few major US locations like California & Texas. Latest update issues *2023-05-20, version 2.1.8* Great VPN but the latest release on iOS and MAC OS seems to have a problem when switching it off. It seems to lockup now and again. Have to switch of the MAC and iPhone to clear the stuck app. Otherwise always been great. ### 4/5 — Amazing turn around *2023-04-11* I first bought this app early on in the day to help support it when it was growing and the original owners kind of let it die. It didn’t work half the servers were slow and the connection wouldn’t connect half the time so I don’t know if they rebranded it and updated it with the original owners, or it got reborn. Either way the improvements this app are phenomenal. Feel free to contact our support team if you face any issues! ### 1/5 — Company of liars *2023-02-02* App does not have a kill-switch feature and according to their support you can only be given 6 wireguard config files even though the app allows you to connect to their servers, so it’s not an issue with their infrastructure from being unable to allow users to change wireguard connections at will. Their support system doesn’t email you when they reply to your case, and they claim that their system automatically closes your case every time they respond, but the timestamps show that’s not the case; they respond and then close you case a few hours later. You DO get an email when they close your case. Oh, and they will either mark it as “solved” when all they did was reply or they will mark it as “closed” which deletes the contents of your ticket. I’m contacting my bank because this is intentional fraud at this point. I have 400mbbs internet with consistent speed that I've tested multiple times, yet anything live never works and is constantly buffering. Can't even watch kayo mini's consistently without buffering every 45s or so. Only reason I give it two stars is their HD servers in other countries work well - but all the kayo ones are trash. **Developer response:** Hello Neville, We apologize for that. Please contact us at support@bulletvpn.com to help you with any of your concerns. ### 1/5 — Boatload of problems. *2022-05-08, version 2.0.3* Will not connect, drops connection, cannot log in via the menu bar icon, loggin into their website and from the app is sporadic (at best, if at all) most of the same problems exist in the iPad and iPhone versions. These represent just a few of the multiple problems I have found in only a few days. The company that writes the software is in Estonia (10 times zones from where I am) so remote connection is not really possible unless I want to stay up and allow people I don't know remote connect to my system in the middle of the night to "diagnose" my system. My experiences have revealed problem after problem and have made me very suspicious of this "system security" software. I believe Apple needs to take a good look at this software and the company that writes it as this "security software" doesnt seem very secure to me. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Deceiving! Do not sign up! Untrustworthy company *2025-06-21* A couple days ago I would have given BulletVPN a glowing review but suddenly they went completely two faced. I bought the lifetime VPN plan and they had a good selection of servers for some time, but just like many other untrustworthy companies, they pulled out the rug unexpectedly. Now USA has only two servers and no UltraHD servers for Lifetime VPN holders. I find this really atrocious and disrespectful to their users. I used to recommend bullet vpn to others, but from now on I will contact anyone who I recommended their service to not only quit but leave a negative review. What a low blow. So disappointed.
