This is after 20 years of having my account with BV. What is their accounts management IT system like if this happens. Any dealing I prefer to do in a web browser on my desktop . Generally everything works fine but sometimes when I open the app it opens at the chart page but with the gold price line missing from the chart. I then have to spend a few moments switching between the apps different pages until the chart page opens correctly showing the price line. This has been a feature since I started using the app a few years ago. ### 3/5 — Bracketing not available *2024-03-02, version 2.15* I want to sell when the price hits a high OR a low of my choice. I can only set a high. Not good for protecting my position… ### 2/5 — Short Lived *2023-04-17, version 2.3* App opens and is useable for a short time, however after a few uses all you get is a white screen and you have to delete the App then reload to get it working again. Used to be much better before it was ‘improved’! ### 2/5 — Changes that didn’t need to be made *2022-12-24, version 2.0* Not only do you not start on the chart screen like you have since well, forever, now you have to select it from the three options you’re presented when the app loads. Also, in order to change the chart range you’ve got to click twice when it previously was only once. Thirdly, because of the screen ‘improvements’ there’s less actual screen showing your chart so it’s smaller. Give me your postal address guys, I’ve got a couple of unused Interface Design books left over from Uni I can send you. ### 2/5 — Poor code *2022-01-01, version 1.8* When a user is authenticated and signed in -if the session is let to be inactive- pretty common scenario - and he clicks on account tab a weird unhandled exception comes. App is pretty much unusable after that. You can’t even restart or wait for hours also won’t bring back app just a blank white screen. Only recourse left is restart phone. Got my account closed with no clear explanation after submitting my documents, likely due to my nationality. 1 star for not giving a clear explanation despite emailing them many times. Disappointing. ### 1/5 — Bad investment app *2025-03-16, version 2.22* App works well, can buy and sell instantly. Issues with app; min deposit is £100, this is instant but withdrawing takes days. Can’t buy tiny amounts of gold or something there’s minimums. Biggest problem by far is FEES. I bought £300 of silver, price went up to £302. In fees alone from February and march they have charged me £10. So yea I’ve never seen fees as high as this in any investment form just to hold an asset; can’t see it as a way to do anything other than lose money. Maybe their gold fees are lower tho, they advertise those as very low ### 1/5 — Currently no charts. *2024-02-21, version 2.15* NO CHARTS. ### 1/5 — 1.11 Completely Broken *2022-08-31, version 1.11* Late August 2022 update on iPhone 6 just crashes when attempting to open app. App has been installed for 5+ years with no issues until the latest update. ### 1/5 — Avoid *2022-03-01, version 1.10* Beware! They appear to be cost effective with low commission charges but make up for that by stinging you with hidden costs. They accept funds near instantly, but to get your funds out is like getting blood out of a stone. Data not optimised for app. The worst investment/financial/banking app I’ve used. The biggest frustration is that the app provides no personalised content - to see my portfolio I have to open the app then log on to my account. The charts cannot be customised- I can select my currency and price/weight option but when I then track across the price history it always displays price/kilo. Buying and selling is easy, with low spreads. It takes a day or two for withdrawals to be credited to a bank account but unless you are some sort of on-the-edge trader this is quite tolerable. Low fees. I looked into their legal documents with some care at one point and convinced myself my ownership claim was rock-solid in case of e.g. bankruptcy. ### 5/5 — BullionVault review *2025-02-22, version 2.21* Brilliant platform.
