But after i started using the hint button and learning how to play the game better i naturally got better which is great and all but now the normal difficulty is stupidly easy. At first i thought it was just cause i got better at the game but no i click one bull that i know is right and the level simply gives me the rest, that is boring, i even went back to older levels to see if i was a me problem or the game and the older ones were harder even with my newfound skills. Theres normal levels i can clear faster than the easy levels which i think is ridiculous. The game itself is amazing, I like to say it’s like Sudoku but with colours and cows! The graphic design is another thing I love, it’s so simple but I love the pastels and the minimalism. It has none of those annoying app features with wanting something from you every two seconds. Instead it is just seamless and I forget I’m even necessarily playing an app/game, it feels like I’m just doing a puzzle in a notebook, except it’s extra cute, smooth and intuitive. The only way they could create any meaningful difficulty is by making the hard levels break the pre-established rules. Most of the time it devolves into a guessing game of where you have to place the two bulls required for every pen, row, and column. If you bother to use the hints in the hard levels, they throw some obscure clue about so many colors in so many rows, but is usually some bad advice. Когда я установила заново ее, то столкнулась с тем, что вся статистика сохранилась, но уровни не пройдены. То есть у меня буквально в настройках аккаунта стоит 30к поставленных быков, а на главной странице все уровни по нулям. В общем, прогресс у меня был слишком большой, чтобы теперь начинать заново. А жаль, игра была хорошей…. ### 2/5 — Zu einfach… *2025-09-09, version 1.5* Das Spiel macht 1-2 Tage Spaß. Die Lernkurve war bei mir nach 1 Stunde bei 100%. Auf Einfach mach ich jedes Rätsel in 5-15 Sekunden. Auf Mittel in 10-20 Sekunden. Auf Normal löse ich jedes Rätsel in weniger als 1 Minute und auf Schwer brauch ich maximal 90 Sekunden. Wenn man also einmal den Dreh raus hat hechtet man von einem Rätsel zum anderen. In der Tagesherausforderung lösen die Besten das Rätsel in rund 3 Sekunden. Irgendwann spielt man nur noch gegen die Zeit und man ist nur noch wild am klicken. Eine Knobel Herausforderung wo man 5-10 Minuten Rätseln muss kam bei mir nie vor. Dafür ist das Spiel viel zu einfach. Die Idee ist auf der einen Seite wirklich genial und wenn man das Spielfeld größer machen würde und gleichzeitig noch einige Knobel Hindernisse einbauen würde, könnte es wirklich Spaß machen. Aber so ist es selbst auf schwer einfacher als Sudoku einfach. The large number of levels gives you great scope for playing for long periods and the overall experience is very satisfying. There is, however, one major flaw: if you’re playing on a iPhone SE, the playing area is minute on any except the ‘easy’ levels, despite the fact that there is a lot of unused screen real estate. It’s so small in fact that I doubt a young child’s fingers could pinpoint the right areas. But Bullpen returns to the roots of authentic game design. It is genuinely just a pleasant time. I was complaining about one of these mobile game ads I kept seeing to my partner, and my partner (who is a fan of puzzle and logic games) ended up downloading it. I went down a rabbit hole to try and find an alternative for her when I stumbled upon this absolute gem of a game. For the past few weeks, every time I’ve glanced at her phone, she’s been playing this game. It is a genuine breath of fresh air. The free to play aspect here works more like a demo for potential players to decide whether they want to keep playing or not. Afterwards, it’s a single $5 charge to purchase the full game. No “gamepass” or subscription of any kind. Whether you have the full version or not, there are no ads. Combined with charmingly minimalistic visuals, sweet sound design, and a simple, evident love of game making from the developer, I cannot help but give this game a perfect 5 stars despite not playing much of the game myself. ### 5/5 — Solid game, no ads *2026-08-01, version 2.2* Great game, 5 stars.
