### 2/5 — I can never find the companies I search for!

*2023-06-14, version 3.0.2*

When I go to a store- I search for a brand I haven't heard of before with the intention of finding out whether they test on animals or not- 7 times out of 10 (and I’m being generous here) the search results on this app comes out blank. I resort to websites like cruelty free kitty (crueltyfreekitty.com) and ethical elephant (ethicalelephant.com). I’m in the process of finding a new app for quick lookups because I’ve given this app too many years to update itself.

### 2/5 — Where are the brands?

*2022-11-18, version 3.0.2*

The only brands that are on this list are mainstream brands. Most of the brands I look up are not on the list- either testing or non testing. I need to find a more reliable and current list. This is not it.

### 3/5 — A rien y comprendre!!

*2021-09-08*

### 2/5 — No giant brand in it

*2021-04-23, version 3.0.2*

Didn’t find anything

### 4/5 — New app.

*2020-01-19, version 3.0.2*

Much better.
Hate it.

### 3/5 — Okay. Need to type in each product and search. We needs an app that can scan barcodes.

*2019-11-17*

Who has time to type in and enter every single product?
If I could scan each product before throwing it in my basket at the store it’d be great - but so far I might as well just use any old app out there that lists brands because this one isn’t any more user friendly than any of the others.

### 2/5 — Déçue

*2019-04-27*

Impossible de scanner les codes barres

### 3/5 — Many cosmetic companies missing

*2019-04-07, version 2*

Trying to search for companies like.... Elemis, Decleor, ESPA, Neals Yard, Acti labs but no results showing

### 2/5 — Not impressed

*2019-02-10*

The camera to scan a product does not show up. I’ve tried searching several types of products’ names and for some reason it’s not the list

### 3/5 — marque qui vendent en Chine

*2019-02-04*

### 2/5 — Didn’t really help

*2018-11-13, version 2*

Never gave me the option to actually scan a barcode

### 3/5 — Needs updating

*2018-09-19, version 2*

Love this app but it really needs updating so it includes the newer brands and bigger brands that are not on the app.

### 2/5 — App needs work

*2018-06-03*

This app can be helpful, but it does need some work. When searching for information about a product, there needs to be more information about the product testing regulations. Whether it does test in animals or not, it would be helpful to have some information about the product and their testing regulations.

### 1/5 — Been 2 Years Needs Update

*2018-01-01*

This app is great when I'm in Sephora or Ulta or any drugs store to have on my phone; however, this app needs to be updated badly and have an areas for consumer to submit products for inquiries. Limited cosmetics and company listings!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Liars

*2026-03-27, version 3.1.1*

This app flat out lies about brands being cruelty free that aren’t. And PETA’s BS certification is a pay to play smoke and mirrors with zero requirements or regulations. Leaping Bunny is the only true CF certification that makes companies put their money where their mouth is.

### 1/5 — US companies only

*2022-04-30, version 3.0.2*

I don’t know why this is on the UK App Store as it’s for American companies. The majority of brands I searched didn’t even come up.

### 1/5 — Never trust PETA.

*2020-07-05, version 3.0.2*

PETA has killed over 40,000 animals in their shelter since 1998 (petakillsanimals.com). If you really support animal rights, DO NOT SUPPORT PETA.

### 1/5 — Scanner?

*2019-06-28, version 2*

Cannot scan bar codes.

### 1/5 — Scanner does not work !!!

*2019-06-15, version 2*

I download the app because of the scanner. When trying to open the scan, it didn’t allow me to scan.

### 1/5 — Scanner not working

*2019-06-11, version 2*

Just downloaded the app but I can’t get the camera to scan. Very frustrating

### 1/5 — Bunny Free

*2019-02-09*

Has issues. Just downloaded this app and the scan option didn’t work so I tried typing in the items barcode. After five minutes of it looking for the product I canceled it because I was tired of waiting while it was still looking. So I deleted the app and reinstalled it and same problem still exists. I have an iPhone 7 so it should work but it’s just frustrating. Needs improvement.

### 1/5 — No UK Information?

*2018-11-04, version 2*

Potentially useful idea but let down by lack of information for UK brands. Haven’t found anything I have searched for so far so deleting the app.

### 1/5 — Not accurate

*2018-05-30*

The screenshots showing Bath & Body Works as cruelty free we’re already concerning, but I thought it might have just been an old screenshot. Nope, this still shows up like that on the app. If such a big and well known company shows up as cruelty free when it’s not I can trust the reliability of any other entries

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2018-05-29, version 2*

To test out the app, I scan the barcodes of two company es that do not test on animals. One of a a Tom’s of Maine product and it didn’t show up on the database. I also typed in Stella McCartney, which also didn’t show up.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — PeopleEatingTastyAnimals

*2021-02-08*

The white man is not only an animal, but an anti-animal. I’m sick of those cowardly chickens hating on the oppressed in the animal KINGdom.
What slimy snakes they are! We don’t need no stinking badgers!
And when the twisted nitwits at PETA vomit their beastly, despicable rot, those dirty rats are always snitching on us!
And what about the ferocious undocumented wildlife! Let them animals in too!

Free PUNXSUTAWNEY PHIL!!!
and the ELEPHANT MAN!!!

### 5/5 — Needs improving but it’s a great idea

*2020-03-13, version 3.0.2*

I love this app and the whole idea behind it but it just needs to be updated to be able to find more brands

### 5/5 — Thank you

*2019-06-22*

I know the data will grow and grow as time goes on. Thank you for getting it started.

### 5/5 — PETA

*2019-03-13*

Les applications de P.E.T.A. sont clairement les meilleures.

### 5/5 — Très Utile et pratique

*2018-12-06*

Très bonne idée car il fallait chercher à chaque fois sur internet. Et bien entendu d’une utilité incontestable. Merci Peta ❤️

### 5/5 — Excellent! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

*2018-05-31, version 2*

If the brand is cruelty free and registered with PETA then you will find it here! Five stars all the way 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Thank you for creating an app we can trust.

### 5/5 — Love it!!💕💄❤️❤️

*2017-11-07, version 2*

It’s really good to search up the brand or the product before I buy!! I
really love it!!!

### 5/5 — Merci 😊

*2017-02-12*
