## Newest reviews (5 of 25)

### 3/5 — A little off

*2025-03-23, version 1.3*

The app recommends 28 pounds based off of my standard setup but I dive with 24. Still though I would say this seems to give a decent estimate.

### 3/5 — Ballpark Calculator

*2022-07-24, version 1.3*

Not bad as it will get you somewhere near your required weight. I’ve used this as a weight estimator for my students and it always overweights them sometimes by a significant amount. Once you get used to it you’ll start to come up with a fudge factor that works for you. Once you know what your fudge factor is properly weighting yourself when changing tanks, exposure suits and environment becomes a snap.

### 3/5 — Alright, but only for single tank diving

*2022-01-31, version 1.3*

Limited cylinder sizes and no option to add more than one

### 2/5 — App does not seem to work correctly

*2020-07-09, version 1.3*

The app is recommending the same weight for someone 150lbs vs 350lbs... says I need 7lbs, I dive with 19lbs. Most other Calc’s recommend around 12lbs.

### 2/5 — Off By More than 10 Pounds

*2020-06-03, version 1.3*

To test out the app after downloading I plugged in my height, weight, wetsuit, and tank I used on my last ocean dive. Result came back a startling 14 pounds heavier than the actual weight I needed.

Following this apps advice given a BCD without excessive lift could be very dangerous.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work anymore

*2023-01-21, version 1.3*

Used this for multi-mode buoyancy calculations as a ball-park estimation, mostly for vacation when diving in different configurations. Worked well for that application, but App doesn’t work anymore. Deleting.

### 1/5 — Totally inaccurate

*2022-08-22, version 1.3*

I’m a DM with 40 years experience i dive with 22 lbs the app Calc my required weight at 34lbs.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work properly

*2021-03-13, version 1.3*

I entered my weight as 94 kg and it said I needed 7.6kg. I then changed it to 207 lb (94kg) and it said I needed 28lb. 28lb is more 12kg. Not much use.....

### 1/5 — This calculator is off

*2021-02-16, version 1.3*

This is off by a lot!! It doesn’t factor height or muscle mass so just based on weight it gives you a much higher allotment of weight to wear while diving!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2020-02-23, version 1.2*

Download app, entered weight, wetsuit, water type, and tank type tapped the blue button and nothing happened. What a bust.

### 1/5 — Steel tanks

*2020-02-19, version 1.2*

The app does not take into account the different sizes of steel tanks and there different negative buoyancy characteristics

### 1/5 — Won’t work

*2020-02-12*

Down loaded it twice. And the submit button won’t work. Doesn’t say submit just s...it. If there is a way to get this to work would be appreciated to know.

### 2/5 — Possibly Good

*2023-02-10, version 1.3*

This app is super simple to use, very intuitive.
It does however not match what I use (or others I checked with), weight wise.
Also, it appears to not correctly convert between pounds and kg.

### 2/5 — Not safe

*2022-04-10, version 1.3*

The weight recommended to me was almost 4 times the amount that is considered safe for me. Someone relying on this could literally be killed due to being overweighted and drown.

2 stars because the interface was easy to navigate.

### 2/5 — Error for steel tanks?

*2022-03-28, version 1.3*

When switching from steel 100 to steel 80, the calculator says add 1 lbs. This must be wrong?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — amazing

*2020-08-22, version 1.3*

works so well

### 5/5 — Just curious

*2020-05-21, version 1.3*

I’ve been diving for 35 years and I KNOW the weight I need for my 3mm (both long and short), my 6mm and my dry suit shell. This app is dead on right down to the half pound! I’m impressed!

### 5/5 — Very cul

*2019-10-09, version 1.2*

It is a very cul app for very cul people. I just went diving yesterday for the first time and I actually taught the coaches. I’m on this app more than I talk to my family. I have slept for two hours every night for the past three days because I’ve been on this app so much. I like.?!

### 5/5 — Great App for Calculating Buoyancy

*2019-10-06, version 1.2*

This app is useful for determining your starting point for weights you need while diving. Easy to use.

### 5/5 — The best buoyancy calculator!

*2019-10-06, version 1.2*

This is hands down the best buoyancy calculator app on the market. I should know, I’ve used them all.
I consider myself a seasoned diver, having dove with all the greats. Pete Lecrerc, Sunny Drinkwater, you name em. But for some reason I can never seem to sink as well as them. This app has changed everything. I am basically a well calculated rock, it’s the best.

Jokes aside, this is a solid app, you should download it.

### 5/5 — Simple and helpful

*2019-10-05, version 1.2*

This is a handy app for getting a rough weight calculation when I dive with new gear or in a different water type.

### 4/5 — Could be better but good

*2023-11-07, version 1.3*

Of course I see everything that says it over weighs, this is just a suggestion that I would like. The ability to not include the tank in the calculations for free diving because 7mm suits can be quite buoyant and may they need some weighing down, it may also be helpful for snorkeling

### 4/5 — Great App

*2020-09-25, version 1.3*

Great app for on the fly calculations. Developer please check the salt water / dive skin suit calculations as no matter how much weight you put in, it always gives you the same calculate result of 2 pounds.

### 4/5 — Great app...with a typo...

*2020-08-26, version 1.3*

“Bouyancy” should be “Buoyancy”....

### 4/5 — Possible improvements

*2020-06-24, version 1.3*

Would like ability to add more cylinders for Sidemount
