Start a session, share a code or scannable QR, add your expenses, and Bupples figures out the fewest payments needed to settle everyone up. FIFTEEN LANGUAGES Bupples follows your phone's language, or you can pick one in Settings: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai, Turkish and Vietnamese. Arabic reads right to left, the way it should. SETTLING UP, REWORKED Marking a payment is now a flow you can follow: see how to pay them, pay, then confirm it. Pay in full, round up, or enter your own amount, with a note and a receipt if you want them. Every payment explains itself. See what you paid for, what they paid for, and the difference you are settling. If a payment is routed through someone, each leg is shown. Tap any line to open the expense behind it. A declined payment finally tells you, and the screen offers the right next steps instead of leaving you guessing. Direct and Simplified views are always available, and when both give the same plan, it says so plainly. CALMER, MORE HONEST SCREENS Balances and payment details no longer guess while loading. They hold until they know, so the app never tells you that you owe nothing, or that a friend has no payment details, before it has actually looked. Hangout details open at full height and close in one smooth motion. Recording a payment is simpler: who, how much, how to pay them, one action, with the optional details one tap away. INVITES One invite design everywhere: tap the code to copy it, copy the link, or share a ready-made invite through your other apps. Leaving a hangout and coming back now revives the member you were, with your expenses and balance intact, instead of creating a second copy of you. The join screen recognises you and offers to rejoin. TURBO SPLIT Tapping items to claim them works reliably, including selecting several in a row. If you are the one who paid, the bill no longer tells you that you owe yourself. Amounts the scanner was unsure about are genuinely highlighted, and checking one clears the highlight. With Pip Pro you can track your share of a split in Just You, and it stays in step as your claim changes. MORE Pick your currency as you start, and make your own if yours is not listed. A new Planets bubble frame puts the solar system in orbit around you, passing in front of you and behind. Plus dozens of smaller fixes and polish throughout. ### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-01 Bupples 1.3 goes worldwide, and settling up finally works the way you want it to. WORLDWIDE Amounts, dates and payment details follow your own region, across 79 currencies. Money requests keep the currency they were asked in, wherever your friends are, and payment options match your country instead of ours. Pip answers on your clock, so "this month" means your month. SETTLE UP YOUR WAY Pick Direct to pay exactly who you owe, or Simplified for the fewest payments. Every suggested payment explains what it stands in for, so you always know why it is there. Your choice is saved per hangout and follows you across your devices, with one tap to apply it to all of them. Best of all, everyone in a hangout can choose differently and still end up square. Nobody pays twice, and nobody is left short. MONEY YOU CAN CHECK Balances are worked out to the exact cent and never mix currencies. Anything already paid is taken into account before we suggest anything. And if a balance moves while your payment is still pending, we tell you plainly and show you the new figure, instead of quietly adjusting it behind your back. RECEIPTS THAT KEEP AN HONEST RECORD When a receipt has money off, we now ask whether the discount is already taken off the prices, and start on whichever answer matches the printed total. This works the same in ordinary hangouts as it does in Turbo Splits. Claiming is separate from paying: mark what was yours now, settle later in Settle Up. You can edit a receipt after claiming has opened, see a summary of the change before it saves, and everyone affected is told. Anything already paid stays protected. TURBO SPLITS Tap anywhere on a row to claim it, not just the small box at the end. Long press to see who claimed what. Hosts can correct a price after sharing, and everyone can see what changed, from what to what, both in the app and on the web claim page. NOTIFICATIONS YOU CAN TRUST The app icon badge now matches what is actually waiting for you. It counts the same things the bell does, clears the moment you catch up, and leaves with you when you sign out. No more phantom red dots. PIP KEEPS UP The chat is bigger, and answers scroll into view instead of hiding behind the keyboard. Your draft survives closing the chat, you can stop a long answer part way, and Pip reacts as you move through setting things up. PIP PRO, HONESTLY The Pro page shows your own numbers, previews everything on your own profile, and takes its pricing straight from the store in your currency. No countdowns, no invented scarcity, no pressure. A CALMER LOOK Softer surfaces in both light and dark, one consistent family of pop-up cards, friendlier empty screens, and loading that settles instead of flickering. Buttons, pills and cards now share one set of sizes, so nothing sits slightly out of place. New OLED black turns the dark background fully black, which is kinder to OLED screens and battery, and it steps aside automatically in light mode. EVERY SCREEN, EVERY SIZE Type, spacing and money scale properly from the smallest phone to the largest, with nothing clipped or cut off, and larger accessibility text sizes are supported throughout. FIXED A payment made on the fewest payments plan now properly settles the debts it stands in for, instead of leaving both sides still showing money owed. One clear figure for what is left to spend, compact rows for your plan, and every unset row simply says Set up until you fill it in. • Check a receipt against the photo. Tap any amount the scan was unsure about and see that exact spot on your receipt, with likely readings to pick from. • Scanning guides you as you shoot. One clear tip at a time while you line up the receipt, and a nudge if it looks like one you already scanned. • Turbo Split asks about the discount properly. When a receipt has money off, the question starts on whichever answer makes the total match the paper in your hand. Change it if the receipt disagrees and your choice sticks. • Scanning waits for your photo. Picking a receipt no longer claims to be reading one before you have chosen it. • Naming where you are. Hangout locations now ask your phone for a proper fix instead of a rough one, and shops whose names start with a number are no longer mistaken for street addresses. Bupples still only ever keeps the name of a place. • Explainers get to the point. The streak explainer opens with the time you have left instead of burying it in a paragraph. • Your accent colour, done properly. Any colour you pick builds a full set of tones for light and dark, and labels on top stay readable. Money keeps its own colours, whatever you choose. • Everything opens and closes just right. Sheets, menus and dialogs share one calm pace, so nothing snaps away or drags. FIXED • A receipt total now counts the discount. A bill with money off used to show the total before the discount came off. It now matches what everyone is actually asked to pay. • Your Pip Pro badge tells the truth. Trial, monthly and yearly each show correctly, with the real next charge or end date. Restoring a purchase that belongs to another account now asks you first. • Your older Turbo Splits open again. A split made before your payment details were made private could refuse to open, even for the person who created it. They are all reachable again, and still closed to anyone who was never part of the split. • The hangout header lines up. The streak and date badges hug their own content instead of stretching across the photo. • Icons sit right. Every glyph is sized to the same optical weight, and the reply arrow is an arrow again. • Steadier on Reduce Motion.
