It keeps kicking me out. I tried deleting it and download the app again and it still kicking me out. ### 2/5 — straight up lies *2026-02-13* sometimes it’s accurate, sometimes it just straight up lies. unreliable but better than google maps unfortunately. ### 3/5 — Why doesn’t my Trip Planner work now? *2025-07-12* I have used Bus Buddy for years, previously, 5 stars no problem. However after OCTranspo recent changes my Bus Buddy ‘Trip Planner’ does not work. I have deleted 3 times and reloaded…still not working on my iPhone. WHY? And WHY is help so hard to receive help?Therefore much lower rating than I would like to give. Forget Facebook and Apple. Every time I save a route it removes every route I saved for that stop number. So I constantly have to search for routes and click save just to check the schedules. ### 2/5 — Inconsistencies in Arrival Times when there’s a cancellation *2022-09-30, version 5.4.1* The app seems to be very inconsistent about giving an accurate arrival time for the next bus when the one before it has been canceled. Specifically with the 61 Stittsville. My bus had been canceled and the app told me that according to the gps the next bus would only be arriving in half hour. It was about a 40 minute walk from the stop i was at to my destination so i decided to walk the rest of the way. As i was walking I would periodically check to see if the arrival time had changed and if should walk back but it kept giving me the same arrival. Which was very clearly not correct because I had only been walking for maybe ten minutes when 61 passed by me despite the fact that app had just told me the that the next still wasn’t going to arrive for another 20 minutes. ### 3/5 — There must be a better app *2022-04-19, version 5.4.1* Bus Buddy works, but it has a lousy interface. The trip planner can be really stupid - like including a 1.5 km walk to the airport terminal from a bus 99 stop. It’s an airport, folks! People have baggage!!!! If you’re not from the area (um, airport), you might not realize that. GPS is of spotty usefulness. Needs work. Gets a 3 because it’s not so bad if you’re making simple trips downtown. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Can’t decide which is worse *2025-09-05* Can’t decide which sucks worse this app or OC transpo- I have lots of time to write because as usual you wait 10-15 minutes for a bus this app says is coming and then it disappears into the ether and you are then presented with a 30-35 minute wait for the next supposed bus. I used to love this app. It was so accurate and reliable. For the past 2 weeks now (March 2025), it has no gps data. Why? ### 5/5 — Don’t listen to negative reviews, this is great! *2024-10-18* People that have given this negative reviews don’t realize you have to give yourself some leeway with the buses, the GPS can change at anytime and can be earlier or later all depending on the bus itself. I’ve been using this since February of this year and it’s yet to disappoint.
