The app really needs a way to refresh itself or let the user manually update the rainfall totals. ### 2/5 — Was affordable *2023-11-22, version 7.0.0* I used to mainly use farm logs to track rainfall. The older app was affordable for rainfall tracking in our fields. Now it costs hundreds of dollars to have the same feature. Not worth, it the new company has become greedy with money. Bring back the old pricing and I will change my review. ### 2/5 — Used to be great *2023-09-20* I don’t even remember what the original version was called but I had it for the last 5 years, it was always reliable, now since it’s been changed to bushel barn there has been numerous changes and not for the better, the latest change is charging for app use, I don’t see an option to run it with ads or I would. **Developer response:** We appreciate your feedback. FarmLogs joined Bushel in 2021 and recently updated the app name to Bushel Farm in 2023. Bushel is committed to a positive user experience and we know that FarmLogs was highly regarded for its rainfall accuracy, so we have not made any adjustments to rainfall reporting. It was great to monitor food plots for hunting purposes, in addition to the rainfall feature. And it was free with a subscription option. Bushel bought Farmlogs out at some point, and now sometime after that, Bushel only offers subscriptions. I will now be uninstalling after using the app for a number of years. ### 1/5 — What a joke *2023-08-29* Nice App that has been free for YEARS! Gets taken over by a new company and is now $20 per month! Get lost!! ### 1/5 — Too Expensive! *2023-08-21, version 4.0.0* I’ve had this app for several years. Now, I’m seeing a banner stating the free app will start charging on Aug. 28, 2023. All I want to know is rainfall amounts so I don’t have to drive out to the farm all the time. I’m not signing into my bank app why do I need to email verify a code every time I want to check the rainfall. ### 1/5 — Prices Doubled in a Year *2024-12-17, version 7.3.1* Price has more than doubled in the past year. These is a total waste and I find a better app ### 1/5 — Farm logs was better *2024-09-06* App went downhill ever since to switched to Bushel Farm ### 1/5 — Forcing customers to pay for service after changing names *2023-10-12* I’ve had farm logs for several years simply to monitor rainfall on food plots at our hunting property since I live 2.5 hours away from it. No charges and it was user friendly. Now all of a sudden there’s this change and I can’t access my previously selected fields or rainfall information without paying a fee for usage. There was no information that I’m aware of sent to me indicating this change especially now a payment for use. I don’t mind paying for services but being forced in this manner, NO THANKS. I’ll choose another option since I wasn’t important enough to be informed of the changes until I simply couldn’t access my account. **Developer response:** We understand change isn't always easy, but is sometimes necessary. Although we could have taken other paths to cover costs, like displaying third-party ads, we did not want to negatively impact our customers’ experience. Instead, we opted to provide the rainfall information at an economical price validated by thousands of Bushel Farm users. We did provide notice of this change several different ways, such as email and in app messages, but it's possible you missed those. If you'd like, we would be happy to look into exactly what happened. Please feel free to reach out to us by emailing support@bushelfarm.com. ### 1/5 — What is once great but fell to greed *2023-10-12* I’ve been using this app for years and years for free just to check rainfall at my house and business then they changed and now suddenly they want me to pay $79 a year just to see the rainfall amounts? Typical like so many other companies looking for a way to charge people for something that used to be free. Now I’ve lost my properties because I’m not paying for something I’ve been getting free for years. I found another app called Raindrop that’s just as accurate if not more accurate so thanks for nothing Bushel Farms. **Developer response:** Hello, it's not possible to see in the mobile stores, but we do have Add-Ons available in our web app. We created an Add-On for rain after hearing from users that they don't always need all the features included in our Essentials plan. The Rain and Heat History is $10/month through the FarmLogs web app. Recent rainfall and YTD rainfall totals are still included in the free plan, FarmLogs Lite. You can read more about all the options here: farmlogs.com/pricing. It’s necessary to charge for our services so we can continue to provide and improve them, but we understand the new plans may not work for everyone. ### 1/5 — Greedy *2023-09-25, version 4.0.0* Was ok until they stared charging a stupid amount for so little!! 👎👎👎 ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2023-09-12, version 4.0.0* When it was Farmlogs loved the app! When they sold out to Bushel farms is all changed. Rain amounts not even close to accurate. Now they are charging $75 a year to get inaccurate rain totals. Was on the fence at first and thought would just easier to track on paper or excel but the app on your phone is WAY easier then I thought and incredibly useful in the field! They continuously improve the program to keep it user friendly and a valuable farming tool. More and more we’re required by law to document weather conditions for certain activities and Farmlogs does it automatically. I wish the cost was somewhat lower but we feel it’s such a valuable and easy to use tool that we just budget it into our cost of operations. ### 5/5 — App works as advertised!! *2018-06-15* I downloaded this App to effectively fertilize and spray my crop fields without a GPS unit. I was a little reluctant given some of the reviews but noticed every time some had a issue the App Developer addressed the issue. After using it in both applications, fertilizing and spraying, I can honestly say it worked to perfection with me.
