They have recently add some features to catch them up to literally every other major app because they were behind in features and to pay for it they now want charge a monthly charge. Now the app hardly ever changes holes automatically based on your position like it used to to. Now you mostly have to manually change the hole to the next. I liked the old way better. It’s an incredibly mediocre app. Not to say it is a bad app just very vanilla and not as easy to use as it used to be. ### 3/5 — App is bugging today *2026-08-15, version 3.0.6* I usually have no complaints. But today I am using the app and can’t click on the screen to move the white circle for distances. My phone is also working fine ### 4/5 — Latest update bugs *2026-07-20, version 3.0.6* Up until the most recent update they had a solid app. Worked all golf season syncing/tracking scores using both the ion watch and the speaker… it connects and shows both devices connected but won’t share the scores I’m entering from my ion watch. Button über Support funktioniert nicht, man landet immer auf der d as laschen Webseite und manchmal auch im Store. That’s very annoying! Please change it back! Use the Bushnell phantom and that’s perfect. ### 1/5 — Update is pure trash & doesn’t work correctly *2026-06-02, version 3.0.3* ADVISE USERS HOW TO BACK OUT THIS UPDATE & GO BACK TO PRIOR VERSION!! IT’S ABSOLUTELY AWFUL & TOTALLY UNUSABLE!! Doesn’t track holes properly, advances ahead to incorrect hole (1 or 2 ahead) & if you mistakenly enter a score there’s no way to clear it (X out) & go back to proper hole unless you have 5+ mins to screw around trying to fix scorecard. Every time you try to do anything the App spins & takes MINS vs secs to complete what you’re doing. Have no clue what App is connecting to nor why. When you get to 10th hole you’re unable to go back & view scorecard for holes 1-9 much less correct any scores…seriously??!! When entering score screen has THE WORST use of landscape I’ve ever seen on any App. HUGE boxes that force you to scroll around rather than enter a #… seriously??!! What the hell were these developers thinking? Clearly, they don’t play golf. App is totally unusable so there goes another device I bought that’s now totally useless because they ruined the App you’re forced to use with it 🤬 ### 2/5 — Not Pleased *2026-05-31, version 3.0.2* I like last year’s App, but the new changes wants the paid upgrades. ### 1/5 — My Bag *2026-05-25, version 3.0.2* Having the My Bag feature tied to Foresight is tragic. Why cannot I create my own bag inside the bushnell app and manually input my distances that I have taken hours at a range to sort out? No instead I have to download a secondary app and create my bag there and the link the accounts. It takes a long time for the app to “read” the putt and since I have to place the pin location and my ball, it’s accurate enough for it to be worth the time or delay on the green. If the gps knew where I was on the green, then maybe it would be ok. And it s been kicking me out of the read my putt so I’m constantly reloading the info. As is, too much of a pain. ### 1/5 — App can not be paired with Wingman HD *2026-05-09, version 3.0.2* I can’t type pairing code in the app while Wingman HD is displaying the pairing code. Purchased but can’t connect. Regretting purchasing Wingman HD speaker ### 4/5 — New Update Doesn’t Work *2026-05-08, version 3.0.2* I just used the updated app for the first time today. What a disaster. I can’t keep it on the same hole I’m playing and it won’t update the yardage unless you switch holes back and forth on your phone. Not to mention the nonstop effort to sell me something. Used to be such a great app - I would suggest the developers go back to that. Update (5/26) - fortunately the updates to the app since my review have mainly solved a lot of the issues that I had. Having all kind of issues with this app and product. ### 1/5 — Problems ever since new app version this year *2026-07-27, version 3.0.6* Ever since Bushnell updated this app I’ve had nothing but problems. Hasn’t been a round at my course in which I didn’t have to manually change to another hole as the mapping is horrible. It waiter stays on the precious hole or jumps to the next even when nowhere near those holes. Attempts to get this corrected by sending emails with the problem holes have not been addressed. Reinstalling the app has not worked either. Very disappointing. ### 1/5 — Only updates Wingman HD when app is Active (Foreground) *2026-07-23, version 3.0.6* Wingman HD will NOT update yardage distances when location settings are set to “While Using the App” and iPhone screen is off. You need to have app location settings to “Always” for it to work in background. Other golf apps I’ve used all work in the background with the location set to While Using. Also was slow to sync distance from iPhone app to Wingman HD. ### 1/5 — The update ruined it *2026-07-01, version 3.0.5* This was a five star app before the update. Now it is garbage. It often gives bad yardages and can’t tell where it is in relation to the hole, requiring a restart. It often will not give yardage to a chosen fairway spot and then the yardage in from there. The setup is incredibly complicated for a product in 2026 and I seem to have to fiddle with it every time I play. I loved the previous version to supplement my Bushnell range finder. It was great to find distances to hazards, etc. The new version just locks up on me. However now it constantly pushes subscription features on pop up screens and they lock basic features. Wish I never bought their products. Early in 2026, they released a new version filled with features I can’t imagine anyone requested. Since then, the app freezes or crashes regularly. Opening another app on a phone running this app will cause it to crash. I have had a support case open for months. No response since the initial acknowledgment. The graphics and green reading features are nice but I didn’t feel they were necessary. Too much information making it a bit overwhelming. I’m sticking with the basic features ### 5/5 — Excellent Golf GPS App *2026-04-16, version 3.0* I have been using the Bushnell Golf GPS app for years and the recent redesign is seriously impressive. They introduced a free trial to explore new features, and it didn’t take long to see how much the experience improved. The 3D mode is a standout and gives a completely new perspective on each hole and I’ve also been using the green heat maps, which have been very helpful in understanding how putts break and have definitely cut down on my number of 3-putts. Overall, this is a great example of a company stepping up and investing in new technology to improve their customer experience…I highly recommend it! ### 5/5 — Too big now *2026-04-12, version 3.0* The app takes up far too much phone memory now.
