### 1/5 — Literal TRASH

*2022-12-30, version 3.9.26*

This app is horrible. The entire service is terrible. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. The app drops calls, if it even picks up a call. None of the other users we’ve set up can reset their passwords. When a call does connect, the connection is spotty at best. Do not disturb mode is also disabled for the app. Even when on, a call through the app will ring.

Really would recommend going with another service. We’d love to switch to another provider but our phone number is to well known to change numbers.

### 1/5 — Horrid

*2022-05-28, version 3.9.26*

Can’t even log in to it

Help menu gives false info

Zero customer support

### 1/5 — Calls keep dropping

*2022-05-02, version 3.9.26*

I get a call through this app, and after 2 rings the call drops even before I pick up. Or when I pick up, the call drops. The message is “Call terminated.”

I tested by calling using my own phone, and after 2 rings, the call drops but on my phone, is still ringing.

So annoying that this happens so often.

I have already reset the network settings. Basically paying for something that doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — Horrible quality

*2022-04-28, version 3.9.24*

Calls made and received through the app has very poor call quality. Not only is the voice quality bad, but there is at least a 2-3 second lag. I know it’s not my connection because I have 1gig download/upload speeds. In addition, Verizon business support does not respond. 45 minute wait times and little to no help.

### 1/5 — Still doesn’t work for iOS

*2022-02-02, version 3.9.24*

Been waiting roughly four months for an update. Can only answer 1/4 calls on iOS as app has problems. Talked to software guy in Verizon they are aware and say it’s Apple not allowing them to update app. Getting a little out of control. Verizon won’t let you out of your contract because they say it’s just a “add on”.

Please fix this.

### 1/5 — Unreliable

*2021-11-21, version 3.9.24*

Outgoing calls are fine, incoming work 20-30% of the time.

### 1/5 — Rings all the time and cannot answer

*2021-09-30, version 3.9.24*

This app is horrible. It is universally bad on iOS and Android. My husband and I can not answer any calls. The will ring 5-20 times one failed call after another. It was cheaper for me to get the digital voice and internet vs just internet. That saved $3 a month and I swear this app makes me reconsider the savings. If I did not occasionally get an important voicemail I would just uninstall this garbage.

### 1/5 — Horrible!

*2021-08-17, version 3.9.20*

Waited 6 months with crappy service for an update that did it fix anything. App says POOR CONNECTION no matter what I do. Tech support is horrible, and I finally had to move to a different service to get my business phone line to work properly.
STAY AWAY!!

### 1/5 — This app needs help

*2021-03-05, version 3.9.18*

I get logged out all the time and then have a hard time logging back in and It dropped constantly drops calls.

### 1/5 — App is not working

*2021-01-05, version 3.9.14*

I can not log into the app. Says invalid authentication credentials. The app used to work now it doesn’t

### 1/5 — Doesnt work

*2020-11-25, version 3.9.14*

Agree with rest of reviews, rarely works. Always glitching, calls dont come through, or shows a call is coming through when its not. Spend hours with tech support but nothing works.

### 1/5 — It just rings.

*2020-11-24, version 3.9.14*

It just rings. Receiving a call at our office number makes the iPhone app ringing forever, picking up the call through the office phone does not make it stop.
Oh, making a phone call is impossible from the App.
Useless.

### 1/5 — Voicemail access is a joke

*2020-10-27, version 3.9.14*

So, you can listen to voicemails on a web page on a computer, but the app can only do it by dialing your number and having to do it normal call? What’s the point? You might as well have just not added voicemail as an option in the app

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2020-09-29, version 3.9.14*

I migrated to Verizon Business Digital service for my office in March and I was shocked at how primitive the mobile app is. I’ve been using the app since then but it constantly does not work properly. The biggest issue is the inability to make calls. Imagine that? A mobile app for Verizon that you can’t make calls? It’s absurd. I’m being told by tech support that my complaints are not uncommon. It’s time that Verizon redesigns the app and greatly improves it functionality.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Drops Calls

*2026-04-15, version 3.9.49*

This is my first app review but had to leave one to voice my frustration. Completely disappointing service from a company worth $200 billion dollars. When I’m trying to take calls from home, half of the calls drop when I press the button to answer calls. I feel bad for my patients who think they are getting hung up on. Looking back, it seems like this has been an issue for YEARS. Verizon still can’t figure it out after all this time. Unacceptable.

### 1/5 — Messages

*2025-10-25, version 3.9.49*

This app is the worst. I cannot log into app after the system requested for me to log out. It’s not the first time this has happens. Unfortunately Arizona reps are home for the weekend. I cannot access my messages until the Monday.

### 1/5 — Terrible Voice App

*2024-10-03, version 3.9.45*

This app is absolutely terrible. Initially it worked well and suddenly in 2024 it became problematic. It doesn’t recognize valid passwords, randomly boots you out and you’re unable to make calls. I am going back to Grasshopper. Verizon can figure out 1000 ways to contact customers for billing reminders and nickle/dime customers but can’t invest in effectively modernizing VoiP when VoiP is the new normal.

### 1/5 — Unreliable app

*2024-09-24, version 3.9.45*

Incoming calls are often not heard and connection is consistently poor even when connected to a strong WiFi signal. Calls are often dropped and cannot connect when dialing. Went with Verizon in part because I needed to be able to receive office calls out side of the office, but will be leaving soon as a result of this and Verizon’s failure to improve the app.

### 1/5 — App is a constant issue

*2024-05-24, version 3.9.45*

I have to re-login and delete and redownload this app all the time to get it to work. Unfortunately this may be the reason we cancel our services with Verizon when our promo membership runs out. This feature was a big point of why we chose them.

### 1/5 — Does not support focus

*2023-12-08, version 3.9.37*

Does not support focus profiles, which is very frustrating for a phone app.

### 1/5 — Total Failure and Unreliable!

*2023-10-11*

Incoming calls are dropped the moment you try to pick them up! What a shame for a company as big as Verizon to not be able to fix this app or provide an alternative app that is reliable and works as expected. I made the mistake of signing up for the two-year agreement.

### 1/5 — Not a good app

*2023-06-21, version 3.9.37*

This app has been getting bad reviews for a couple of years now, leading me to believe that 1. Verizon doesn’t care and 2. isn’t going to fix it. It works some days, on most days when I call a client it rings into their line and immediately ends the call. If I’m on the phone with a client, there are big gaps where I can’t hear them. My clients end up justifiably angry with me. These are not new complaints, I can read the old reviews and it’s an ongoing problem. Mystifying that it’s not been fixed. The touting of this app really influenced our decision to go with Verizon.

### 1/5 — Can you hear me now!!

*2023-06-19*

I remember the Verizon wireless commercial, it was catch, however, this app is really terrible. It drops calls the moment you try to pick them up! can’t Verizon just test this app and make sure that it works properly? I am looking for another service as we speak.

### 1/5 — Terrible app from a tech company

*2023-05-30, version 3.9.37*

I waited to write this review because I wanted to give this app a chance but it’s just like the other reviewers said, absolutely atrocious. Drops calls, dial pad blanks out while trying call, it’s terrible. You expect more from a company whose core business is technology.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — How can you take this away?

*2026-01-28, version 3.9.49*

This is not a 5 star app, but it’s not far off simply because it exists and it works. This app has become essential in an effort to run my small business. News of it being discontinued is cause for looking elsewhere for a service provider alternative. Taking away easy access to voicemail and remote calling is a punch to the gut, and I doubt my Verizon bill will be going down with the elimination of this feature. That simply equates to less value. I hope a replacement app is in the works, but I’m already looking into Comcast. I’m loyal to whomever provides reliable service, and taking away essential features places Verizon in the “unreliable” category. I’m beyond disappointed.

### 5/5 — Excellent App

*2019-09-19, version 3.8.7*

I read many reviewers expressing dissatisfaction about the app. The app works great and has many features. Though, you have to log into “business digital.verizon. Com to configure it before you attempt to use it. Hope this helps.

### 5/5 — Important Setup Read First

*2019-06-04, version 3.6.3*

Changing my review from 1 star to 5 stars after figuring out how to properly set this up. In order to enable the app, you have to go to the BD site admin page (not myphone) and go to the ‘sharing’ tab. Then select the line you want to enable mobile connect on. MAKE SURE TO CHECK THE BOX THAT SAYS MOBILECONNECT. It is not the default. If that user then logs into the app it will work. Verizon could spell this out more clearly so I didn’t have to call customer service to figure this out but it does work once you do this.

### 4/5 — Not intuitive but works

*2019-04-11, version 3.6.3*

Had a similar problem to everyone else. The app wasn’t doing what it was suppose to. I ended up getting ahold of tech support and they helped me through the process, and found the solution. It is a matter of going into the settings online for your business account and checking a box. The app works great when you get it all set up. Wish it was a little more intuitive to set up but give them a call!

### 3/5 — Can’t get contact list

*2025-07-25, version 3.9.49*

Was excited to get this app for my business and have calls and texting available to me on my phone. I’ve got most of the features set up, but I cannot find out how to add my contacts even though I’ve given them permission in the settings. So if I want to place a call, I have to dial the number. I see no way of adding a number to send a text. And I cannot get any help at all from Verizon.

### 3/5 — Need fingerprint recognition

*2020-09-25, version 3.9.14*

I like this version, sound quality is better.
Problem was the simultaneous ringing, couldn’t control it, only way to silence, I found was to log out of the app. Okay, then have to sign back in, would be great if I could use fingerprint scan, hint, hint!!
Thanks

### 2/5 — Fails to integrate with iOS features

*2025-12-05, version 3.9.49*

Although the app has a “do not disturb” switch in Settings, it has to be activated manually rather than following the rules for whatever focus is turned on. Enabling the Do Not Disturb focus on the phone has no effect on the Verizon app; it still allows calls through.

The app has barely been updated since Verizon bought it from another networking company years ago. It’s geared toward large enterprises with hundreds of users to manage, with no accommodation for a small business.

It’s great to have my business number ring on the iPhone, but if any other app provided that service, I would switch.

### 2/5 — Pretty Terrible

*2023-10-17, version 3.9.37*

In theory, I love this app. I love being able to see who voice messages are from (helpful for clients who hang up once recording starts or who butt dial us), and to be able to quickly and easily save, delete, and mark them as new. Outgoing calls are awful on the app. I could have full service and wifi, and the call drops after one ring- nearly every call. When I do get through, I get constant “poor connection” warnings (again despite full service and wifi). It recently told me I’ve been logged in too long and need to log out. Now I can’t get back in, even with the right credentials, and there is no “forgot your password” option. Fun.

### 2/5 — Not very good

*2023-05-25, version 3.9.37*

Calls have a 2 second lag and the audio quality is not very good. Outbound calls won’t initiate on the first try. Always have to try 2-3 times.

### 2/5 — App crashes at any moment!

*2023-05-17, version 3.9.37*

Great idea for Verizon to have this app. Horrible service. App crashes at any given moment and calls always have poor connection even if you have service on your device. Really wish they would fix these issues.
