### 2/5 — If only the times were correct

*2026-04-29, version 1.1.2*

This being an app letting you know when the bus is coming, you would EXPECT it to be accurate. It isn’t. Which makes this app useless.

### 2/5 — Upgrade app

*2025-11-23, version 1.1.2*

Every time I get on the app cut off soon as I get on

### 2/5 — Delayed

*2025-09-17*

Always delayed a minute or so

### 2/5 — Unstable app

*2024-04-26, version 1.1.1*

Whenever I go to load into the app, the app takes a long time to calibrate. Not only that, but the busses also seem to be 1 stop infront of where it says it is. The main issue is the pausing and constant calibration- not to mention how unstable the app can be.

### 4/5 — Almost great

*2024-02-27, version 1.1.1*

I really like having an accurate map view of buses. In particular, I like being able to quickly see how close a bus is to where I current am. But there’s 2 major annoyances I have:

1. Every bus line is either red or blue. If different lines were different colors, I’d be able to more quickly see at a glance where buses for each line are. I’d also be able to easily differentiate individual buses when multiple lines run on top of each other.
2. When you click a stop, it shows the time until the next bus arrives next to the line name, not the number. At least in SF, bus number is much more important when comparing multiple buses. I don’t even know a lot of the line names. Because of this, when I click on a stop with multiple lines running through it, it’s hard to figure out when the next bus I care about is coming.

### 2/5 — Muni app

*2023-09-29, version 1.0.3*

The last app was way better than this one.

### 1/5 — Sub Standard

*2023-09-22, version 1.0.3*

The line that I take there a key spots that are missing, and it doesn’t allow you to pick your favorite stops. When your stop isn’t listed, and you can’t favor it, it’s very inconvenient. I give it ZERO stars.

### 3/5 — Busly

*2023-09-15*

After 4.1 update, still no vehicle ID and Block ID showing on the vehicles

**Developer response:** EDIT: Great news! I've just released an update (v1.0.6) that adds a "Show Vehicle Identifiers" toggle under Settings > General. Enable it to see the Vehicle ID, Run ID, and Block ID shown next to vehicles on the map. Please don't hesitate to reach out via Settings > Support > Contact App Support with any feedback or if you experience any issues after updating.

Hi fip999,

Per our email conversation, it looks like there was a bug for iOS 15 devices that prevented the annotation detail from being shown when selecting a bus or stop. With the v1.0.3 update released today, this issue should be resolved and it should now be possible to view the IDs for a particular vehicle.

Appreciate you bringing this to my attention and please don’t hesitate to reach out again if you run into any additional problems or have any suggestions!

Cheers,
Alex

### 1/5 — Terrible replacement

*2023-09-04, version 1.0.2*

This replaced an app that allowed you to have a list of your routes at the top. When you clicked on a route, it would show the list of stops in order. Now there’s no way to see the list at the top. There are more steps necessary to see the list of stops. Even worse, the listed stops are all out of order. This makes the app so difficult to use that it’s almost pointless to even bother.

### 2/5 — The bus numbers are missing!

*2023-08-23*

I need to see the bus numbers and run number for my work assignments. This new app will be useless to me if there is no more bus and run numbers…

Thanks for the feedback! I know the bus and run numbers are important to a lot of people using the old app so I’m working on adding this info as quickly as I can. Will let you know as soon as it’s available!

Cheers,
Alex

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Delayed

*2026-02-05, version 1.1.2*

Always delayed a minute. Not real time

### 1/5 — This app sucks

*2026-01-18, version 1.1.2*

It consistently crashes on me to the point I’ve given up using it altogether.

### 1/5 — Ineffective

*2026-01-14, version 1.1.2*

There are routes that do. It show up yet the bus arrives. Why? I’ve spent countless time adding them as my favorite yet they are hidden and so I cannot rely on this app. Waste of money.

### 1/5 — Stop Begging for Reviews

*2025-09-11, version 1.1.2*

Stop Begging for Reviews

### 1/5 — After 5 minutes I gave up

*2025-01-23, version 1.1.2*

Just downloaded the app. I wanted a simple piece of info: for a given bus line in San Francisco and a given stop, when will the next bus arrive?

Took me 5 minutes because the app wants you to select ALL the lines you’re interested in, so I did that… only to realize getting to the info I wanted is a pain in the you-know-what, AND it doesn’t tell me which direction “Outbound” is (not clear when neither direction is towards or away from downtown), so I still didn’t get the answer I wanted.

Don’t waste your time!

### 1/5 — Needs improvement

*2024-07-15, version 1.1.1*

The app only gives arrival times for one direction. Great unless you’re going the other way.

### 1/5 — Not worthy of your time

*2024-01-17, version 1.0.8*

Just downloaded the app. Found my route and stop. It listed multiple arrival times but it couldn’t tell the direction of travel. Not worth your time to even try to use.

### 1/5 — App needs improvement

*2023-12-12*

This app is clunky and feels like dos os.
Can it please be improved?
I miss routsey.

**Developer response:** Hi shagun,

Sorry to hear you’re not totally satisfied with the app. I only just released it a few months back so I’m still working as quickly as I can to work out all the rough edges.

There’s a lot of improvements I have planned (like adding favorites & nearby routes/stops), but is there anything in particular you’d like to see or an area I should focus on?

Feel free to reach out to me directly using the in app support button under Settings > Support > Contact App Support or alternately by editing this review.

Cheers,
Alex

### 1/5 — Removed it twice

*2023-10-11, version 1.0.4*

I tried it twice and removed it twice.
It doesn’t have favorites and it’s just too cumbersome to look for the same route number of times a day.
This app has something that is called “Enabled Routes” instead of Favorites which I found it more annoying than useful.
Imagine your city has 90 bus lines but you use only 15 of them. If you selected these 15 routes as Favorites, you can select let’s say only the 3 you are using in the morning and than switch the routes to other 2 ones you use on weekends. But these routes will always be in your Favorite tab.
Busly has Enabled Routes so when you marked 15 lines as that, you will see them all at once. If you are not interested in seeing let’s say 10 of them, you have to remove them from Enabled Routes which puts them back in a pool of all the routes (90) in your city. If you want to see these routes again than you will have to scroll through all the routes to mark them again as enabled.
Imagine if you browser would show you all your favorites at once; that would be very unhelpful, right?

### 1/5 — Not Smarta for MARTA

*2023-09-25, version 1.0.3*

Atlanta map doesn’t have all the stations. The app needs some tutorial or explanation of symbols. When you click on a particular station, it should appear on the map. It’s useless for MARTA users.

### 5/5 — Valuable and practical!!

*2024-02-20*

I love this app! As a MUNI supervisor that needs quick access to information, it is wonderful. The only thing is I wish that the refresh rate is not five minutes. In 5 minutes, a lot of movement can happen.

Hi Yestorm, unfortunately the new data source I’m using in this app doesn’t provide the run numbers so I’m not able to display this info easily.

There’s been quite a few people asking for this though, so I’ve got some ideas of a way I could maybe get around this. It may take some time though, so stay tuned and I’ll be sure to let you know once I’ve found a way to make this work.

### 5/5 — Could you add the Run Number of the bus on the app？

*2023-10-05*

Hi Alex, The SF Muni Buses app has the Run Number when you tap the bus icon. I like the information very much! Could you add the Run Number of the bus on the Busly app？Thanks!

### 5/5 — Best app for SF MUNI (and it’s not close!)

*2023-08-28, version 1.0.2*

Long time SF resident. There’s no other app that is simultaneously as accurate & simple as Busly. I’ve been loving this app since Busly’s predecessor (SF MUNI) and now it’s even better. Magnificently streamlined GUI and 99% accurate departure times. I trust this app more than Google Maps, which gives decent scheduled times but sometimes lacks real-time data.

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2023-08-22*

Super easy to use and so convenient!
