### 1/5 — Racism

*2026-03-02, version 30.10.3*

The moment I mentioned I wasn’t from this country the interviewer tone of voice had changed and nothing I was saying was relevant to her. Compared to the beginning of the interview when she was invested in what I was saying. She kept making weird faces at me as I spoke. Even if I was unqualified she made sure to make me feel less than then at the end of the interview I told her thank you for her time and tried to shake her hand but she just processed to open the door rejecting my gesture. I think she was looking for a lighter complication and the way she conducted the interview is that this company is one to be diverse.

### 1/5 — Good if you’re rich

*2025-09-10, version 30.9.4*

High prices and low quality

### 4/5 — From a Bee’s Perspective

*2025-06-14*

I have been a bee for about 3 months now, and so far I love it! I have met lots of amazing families, and the Hive is very welcoming and helpful. Babysitting wise, I would 1000% recommend this app. The only reason I would give 4 stars instead of 5, is because of the quality of the app itself. The app runs very slowly (it takes forever for everything to load). I don’t always receive notifications right away, which isn’t helpful when trying to communicate with parents, and when trying to book jobs I often have to wait long periods of time for everything to load, and by then the job has already been taken. The app updates regularly, which in hindsight is great, but it makes me go through the entire log in process every time (not horrible, just time consuming. I just think they could use a better tech development team. All of that aside, I love Busy Bees!

### 3/5 — Like the idea but not ideal in booking process

*2025-06-06*

I like the concept for this app however, I don’t like that when you request a job a sitter can automatically accept. To me, it would make more sense for multiple sitters to be able to accept and once you talked with them and reviewed their references you could choose the best fit for your family. I wouldn’t allow someone to watch my child without at least speaking to them first or reviewing references which you cannot view on their profile. You cannot see reviews from previous families that use that specific Sitter either which I think would ease the minds of many parents. Concept is great but not so much the execution. Also keep in mind that once the job is accepted you’ll have to pay a cancellation fee, so being first time users I did not know the bee can accept without you agreeing and speaking with the bee and then when I canceled, I was charged. Not ideal.

### 1/5 — HORRIBLE

*2025-04-17*

I was previously a Busy Bees sitter for three years and recently moved to Boise, where they’ve just launched a new market. I reached out to reactivate my account and was asked to re-interview, which I had no issue with. However, after deciding not to move forward for personal reasons, I was shocked to see they charged my old card on file—without consent or any communication. This is absolutely fraudulent behavior.

To make matters worse, I contacted them immediately and was ignored for over 24 hours. The Boise market owner completely disregarded my calls and texts until I followed up the next day. This kind of unprofessionalism is unacceptable.

Unfortunately, this isn’t new—it mirrors my past experience with Busy Bees. They only respond when it benefits them and ignore everything else. On top of that, they take a large cut of your earnings. You’re better off working directly with families and avoiding this company altogether. The lack of professionalism and shady billing practices should be a red flag to anyone considering working with or using Busy Bees.

### 1/5 — Unfair

*2025-03-23, version 30.8.1*

I was excited to join Busy Bees because of my extensive experience caring for children of all ages, including newborns. However, despite clearly stating my background with infants during my interview—including professional nannying and years of babysitting experience—I was restricted from working with children under 48 months. This policy felt unfair, especially since I left my church childcare role to work here.

The company refused to reconsider, even though infants are my specialty, and the six-month waiting period for a review was far too long. Ultimately, I had to leave because I felt undervalued and unable to fully use my skills. I wouldn’t recommend this job to experienced caregivers who want to work with a variety of age groups, as their policies seem rigid and don’t take individual experience into account.

### 3/5 — App improvements

*2025-02-28, version 30.8.1*

Once we are matched with a bee we should be able to look at their profile to see who will be coming to watch the baby. I find that to b a terrible design. It would be better if we were able to select the person based on their availability with a selection of profiles.

### 5/5 — We love busy bees!

*2024-09-26, version 30.7.1*

The babysitters are always kind and courteous. They employ a variety of sitters with unique personalities and interests, and all have the same level of professionalism and care for our children.

### 1/5 — Bad

*2024-06-25*

I don’t like it it’s been almost a week and I can’t still get in talking about reviews 🙄 like come on it’s a week now fix your appp cause i haven’t seen any app that takes so long.

### 5/5 — Working as a bee

*2024-05-17, version 30.5.9*

I worked as a bee durning college and it was the best job for a flexible schedule to provide some extra income. Would definitely recommend to any college students🤩
