### 2/5 — Glitch/Bug

*2026-03-29, version 2026.2.3*

Three times in the space of 7 days, as I was doing my schedule for my crew and just as I was ready to hit “notify employees” it kicked me out of the app. I reported it over the phone the first time it happened and they said they have not experienced any issues like this.

### 2/5 — Character Limit

*2026-03-26*

Why is a character limit when trying to enter the job description? I need to write detailed descriptions of certain jobs, and I always find myself having to waste time trying to cut out information. I need to be able to type in at least 7000 characters (with spaces). Please extend the limit!

### 2/5 — Meh, pretty basic

*2025-10-03, version 2025.7.2*

Interface is very clunky and not intuitive, it’s actually a bit painful to use. Even so I was going to upgrade to see if extra functions make it useful but as a Canadian I have to contact support to upgrade my subscription. I’m not doing that, I’ll find something else, preferably a Canadian product anyways given the state of things with the US right now anyways.

### 1/5 — Don’t ever log out

*2025-06-24, version 2025.4.0*

Tech help is a joke . If u or any of your guys log out, and u got to forgot password u can hang it up. Going on 3-4 week and can’t get a person to talk to of any help

### 1/5 — No good

*2025-06-07, version 2025.3.1*

No good

### 1/5 — Laggy and requires your location to be on even when clocked out of work.

*2025-05-30*

This app sucks

### 4/5 — Seems good

*2025-04-08, version 2025.2.2*

Just installed it, seems to have everything needed and plans are organized well but pricing is only available on website. Better transparency would have pricing info available in app description

### 1/5 — GPS after clock out

*2025-02-20, version 2024.10.11*

The app was tracking me when I wasn’t clocked in. When I contacted them about it they suggested I pay them $3,600 to upgrade to pro. For What? So they can steal my info and my money? They’ve lost my trust.

### 1/5 — App is great but

*2025-02-05, version 2024.10.10*

The app is great. I loved it.
My employees loved it for about a week.

But after that to get the most out of the app you have to schedule a Zoom meeting with the producers of the app. I don't have time for a Zoom meeting. I want to buy the pro version of the app and keep going. I don't have time while I'm running a business to have a zoom meeting over a cell phone app.

Long story short, the app is great until it doesn't work anymore because you don't have time for a Zoom meeting

### 1/5 — Too much call

*2024-10-28*

Please stop calling peope . If the app isn't free just display it when registering rather than allowing people to register and be disturbing people with calls

### 1/5 — Was great UNTIL

*2024-10-15*

First, I will say that I was in busybusy fanboy for the first while using this app and then acquired employees and went to the paid version so that I could get photographs, etc., and accurately keep track of my employees time. However, in time their app developed several issues for me one of which was not accurately, maintaining the proper time zone and when manually entering my clock in time, this would create a one hour discrepancy. There was also an instance where an employee of mine somehow ended up clocking into a project during a time when the project had not even been created. This added significant time and due to the amount of time added it was easy to find however, smaller discrepancies - I am still unaware if there is anything that I have missed. all of these issues, I tried my best to cooperate with their support team with however I was simply told to make sure that my iPhone was grabbing the time automatically from the server which it was and also was told to have my employees update their app once every week or two. None of which solved this issue and although it was clear that the app was not grabbing the time from my phone and having them telling me that this was the case, after sharing a screen recording of the app clocking me out one hour past the current time, so an hour into the future. I kindly asked for a refund of the remaining balance of my account since they could not provide the service accurately to me or reliably. I was simply referred to their 90 day moneyback guarantee clause. No understanding for my actual situation or the fact that their app was no longer working for me. I have no doubt that in any instance, no matter what the circumstance this company would keep your money if the app stopped working. For this reason, I would not recommend it for anyone for purchase or to accurately rely upon to pay your employees, you can end up with thousands of dollars lost in an instant if they stopped working.

### 2/5 — Clock time

*2024-09-11, version 2024.6.2*

It doesn’t ever save my clock out time whenever I clock out, so it keeps me clocked in.

### 1/5 — Clocking Out

*2024-09-10, version 2024.6.2*

Every time I go on the roof at my job, it clocks me out

### 1/5 — Should call it crashes on demand

*2024-07-27, version 2024.5.4*

Every time I use this app it crashes, doesn’t deserve one star. Take pictures then lose them before I do daily report. Really not much better than doing on paper.

### 1/5 — useless

*2024-07-16, version 2024.5.2*

all this app does is turn my time into theirs. pay you to waste my time?

### 1/5 — What a scam

*2024-07-13*

We signed up and gave them deposit to get going as they make you prepay. We were promised during sales call that software integrated with our system. After months of back and forth they could not get busy busy to integrate. When we asked for refund as we were told deposit was refundable, they said time period had past for refund. Meanwhile we didn’t even get to use the app until their team was done building it out. So as of today they are holding $5k and won’t return it. Complete trash. We were still planning to use them once we switched bookkeeping systems so for them it’s a long term loss as I’ll never use their software and make sure to tell everyone I know the story so they don’t end up in same boat.

### 1/5 — Don’t believe the pinky swear

*2024-05-30*

They are absolutely tracking 24/7 if you don’t remember to go to location settings and switch to never after logging off. “Only while using” should be an option. I don’t need reminders to clock in or out. I don’t need your notifications that I’m leaving the job site. Their privacy policy blatantly says they own and sell the data they collect. You will have to jump through some hoops to opt out. Unfortunately for these data miners that is the only option. Like others, my pay depends on this app.

**Developer response:** Hi Joavrge! We know it feels like we’re watching you 24/7, but we pinky swear we’re not! We respect your privacy very much!!! If you (or your boss) called us looking for your phone because you lost it, and you weren’t clocked in, we couldn’t help you even if we wanted to (and of course we’d want to, it SUCKS losing your phone!!!). We need it set to "Always On" so that you can get those location reminders BEFORE you clock in. The busybusy app is sensing that you're near a job site, but we don't record your location unless you're on the clock. We can definitely give you some tips and tricks to help quiet the noise of your phone yelling at you about your location though, so please reach out to us via the in-app chat or email support@busybusy.com and we'll do what we can to help you with this!

### 1/5 — Pfffft

*2024-02-23, version 2024.1.3*

Am I going to have to un install this app daily to clock out???

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2023-12-29, version 2023.5.4*

This app is one of the worst, biggest problem is messing whit my paycheck because this app is hot garbage clocks me in an out all the time tracks me after work and weekends in the background killing my battery just a big hot garbage app mess I hate it so much but my office says all the time lets give it one more chance, I don’t know why app is worthless

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — This App Suckkkkssss

*2026-03-24, version 2026.2.3*

It constantly freezes and gets stuck on syncing. I constantly have to delete and redownload just so I can clock in. Beyond frustrating, doing this almost every time I have to use the app 🙄

### 1/5 — Meh, pretty basic

*2026-03-22*

Interface is very clunky and not intuitive, it’s actually a bit painful to use. Very poor support, basically there seems to be no support available that’s not an AI agent. Even so I was going to upgrade to see if extra functions make it useful but as a Canadian I have to contact support to upgrade my subscription. I’m not doing that, I’ll find something else, preferably a non American product.

### 1/5 — GPS location needs work

*2026-03-01, version 2026.2.0*

I don’t even allow maps to track my location “always” you don’t need to either. Unacceptable.

### 1/5 — Big lost brother

*2026-02-16, version 2026.1.5*

This app tracks your location all the time even when not at work. Why? This isn’t right. I can sign my time card and make it true and yet someone can go behind me and change what is the truth m. That’s not right

### 1/5 — App Crashes

*2025-11-18, version 2025.9.0*

Every time I try to preview a report before submitting, it starts loading and then the app crashes and kicks me out the app

### 1/5 — Fix your need for always on for location

*2025-11-06*

This fellow user had the exact same sentiments as me and will just copy and paste it. “I'm not understanding why this app feels the need to lie about location tracking. You state on the app that you don't track location when not on the clock but that's a bold face lie! And I can prove it. This app accessed my location all throughout the night when I was sleeping at home and not on the clock. My privacy report on my iPhone shows EVERY SINGLE TIME you access my location! Why be deceptive about it? Did you not think far enough ahead about iPhone privacy reports before bold face lying on your app?
This is a huge issue for me and you need to be more transparent on your app. The fact you have responded to previous reviews saying you don't track location when not on the clock, when you know you do, is sickening to me!
Like I said I can prove it so don't comment back on this review saying you don't.” It showed me 38 locations I was in throughout the week and most I was not on the clock. When I tried to only when using app it doesn’t allow for me to clock in and have to turn it on always.

### 1/5 — Deceptive app that tracks your location even when you’re not at work.

### 1/5 — Location services

*2025-08-14, version 2025.6.0*

Absolutely no reason you need to “always” have location services on. No way. While in use, sure. But not always.

### 1/5 — Thieves

*2025-08-08*

We used busy busy for a couple years at our company and had mediocre success with it. The real problem is when you try canceling with them, three or four people will tell you that they are canceling your account, and then continue to charge you anyways. If you go onto your account and cancel your subscription, they will still charge you. Terrible people, and a terrible company.

### 1/5 — Go on break option

*2025-07-16, version 2025.4.2*

The new update took away the “go on break” option and it needs to be brought back! I found it to be very useful.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great for business

*2025-01-29*

My crew and office people are so happy since we implemented busybusy. Payroll is much more seamless, and the guys feel trusted because we don’t have to check in with them as often and everything is kept in the app. Initially, I didn’t realize how easy it really is to use- but quickly saw its simple, doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, and everyone wins. Their staff is also super quick at responding and always pleasant to chat with.

**Developer response:** Hi Nicole! That's what we like to hear!!! Cheers!

### 5/5 — Best app for our construction businesses.

*2019-11-28*

Busybusy has been instrumental in our time keeping! They keep making it better too! Every business should look into what Busybusy can do for them especially those businesses in the construction industry. It’s so easy for the employees using it to clock in and out as well as for our payroll. End to end this is the best business app.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the stellar review! Our goal is always to make life easier for employers and employees alike. Getting you through your day with better data and more accountability is what gets us out of bed in the morning!

### 5/5 — Super useful and easy to use!

*2019-11-22*

So glad we found busybusy. This is not a paid ad. We are an association management company and have been using busybusy for more than 2 years. We use busybusy, not only for tracking of time between each of our customers for accurate billing, but also for sub-projects for each customer. This helps us and our customer’s boards create and stick to budgets! I believe they’re working on additional, shift scheduling functionality within the software too!

### 5/5 — Good

*2019-11-21, version 2019.8.2*

Perfect

### 5/5 — Accurate and safe

*2019-11-20*

Been using Busybusy for over a year now. Very accurate record keeping of my work hours. Safe too, no identity theft. Great app and keep it up!
