### 4/5 — Ugj

*2025-12-06, version 3.33.01*

It is a little confusing and I accidentally set myself up as the parent, is there a way to undo that?

### 4/5 — Love this app, I want a desktop version

*2025-10-27, version 3.32.05*

I really like the ease of BusyKid to help my kids manage their money, but I have not been able to teach them to do it themselves because I can only access it on a phone. I’m not giving my kids a phone, so please make a version of the app they can access on their Chromebook’s

### 2/5 — Use Something Else

*2025-10-14, version 3.32.05*

Good idea, with poor execution and supporting technology. The system is rigid, the transfers are slow, their binning and accounting system is not intuitive.

For example, I had circa 100 dollars in my child’s account, but couldn’t load my child’s card because a scheduled payment had not been made. So, essentially they held the 100.00 ransomed in the app. This one small example of many.

After about 45 days of trying to make this app work for my family, I closed the account. Even closing the account was not transparent and clear …the amount scheduled for refund is less than the amounts I transferred in.

### 4/5 — Idk

*2025-09-12, version 3.32.05*

It’s good app but pLEASE PUT A WAY TO SEE THE CARD INFORMATION !!!

### 4/5 — Like,but needs help

*2025-05-27, version 3.32.05*

The investment function says that it is not working, but otherwise a great app.

### 4/5 — Help

*2025-05-19, version 3.32.05*

It works well but when you order a new card it does not work please help me fix this

### 4/5 — Like it

*2025-03-02, version 3.32.03*

A co-worker told me about this app. I downloaded it for my son and he loves it. The only problem I have with this app, is that it does not show any information about the stock(s) you want to buy. It doesn’t list the price or even the stock has dividends. I hope to see this in the near future

### 2/5 — not great

*2025-01-11, version 3.31.51*

i’m 13 and have been using a busykid account for a few years now. at first it started out really good. i could spend and recieve money on basically whatever i wanted. my parents could add limits too. the one thing is is that it’s really gotten a lot worse recently. for example, i tried to set up a teen venmo account and when i put in the money source as my busykid card, it didn’t work. maybe that’s just busykid or just an issue with venmo (idk). the other problem is that when i tried to use it with apple pay, it kept on declining. this also happened at stores, it kept saying the pin was wrong even though i knew it was correct. it also kept on declining even though there was enough money. the app is a good idea, it just isn’t great in practice especially for older kids.

### 5/5 — ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC

*2024-09-03, version 3.31.04*

Im 13 and im a owner of this card
Its so great
With this i was able to purchase so many things i wanted

### 4/5 — Venmo and apple wallet

*2024-09-02, version 3.31.04*

My sons had his card for almost 3 years and now he is at the age where he wants to connect it to Venmo and apple wallet is there anyway he can do that

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Looks cheap

*2026-03-07, version 3.33.01*

It's kinda cheap looking and when you buy things it doesent really describe the object so your just left wondering "what did I spend this on?" or "are they stealing money?" because you can't see what you bought.

### 1/5 — Scammy

*2025-11-20, version 3.33.01*

Absolutely awful. Works ok unless you want to get money out of the account. Stock trades failed to execute. Terrible customer service. Can’t get cash out except in multiples of $100. Stay away!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work for investing

*2025-09-28, version 3.32.05*

Tried several times to setup investing and just loads forever. App is just so clunky.

### 1/5 — Starting to have issues

*2025-08-15, version 3.32.05*

Chores kept duplicating 2,3,4 times. Would delete 1 and then all were gone for same day. Support doesn’t believe the issue and gives instructions on how to delete even though you have told them you have already done the exact same thing. No way to select all and delete all chores. Would be better is there was a desktop version with more control. Should have a better way to setup chores for multiple kids in a calendar type setting.

### 1/5 — Don’t Sign Up

*2025-08-10, version 3.32.05*

I used this for my kids when they were little years ago, we have since moved on to real accounts. When I signed up there was only a fee for purchasing cards, but now there is an annual fee that I never agreed to. The account should be inactive as I can’t even login but they are taking my money for something that hasn’t been used in years so frustrating

### 1/5 — Don’t expect a real person to help it’s automated responses

*2025-07-30, version 3.32.05*

I used busy kid years ago when my were younger. Liked the app back then but haven’t used it in years and don’t even have a login anymore. Back then they did t charge annual fees. I don’t even have the app on my phone anymore and never agreed to annual fees and they charged me $48 and I submitted a request to have it refunded as I don’t have access to the account anymore and never agreed to annual fees. Their response was to log into and cancel. So don’t expect any help if you have issues they clearly do t read what the problem is.

### 1/5 — Money Stolen!

*2025-05-13, version 3.32.05*

I opened this app, saw that it was not what we needed, and requested to close the account immediately. Despite jumping through hoops with customer service, my $50 has not been refunded to this date. Avoid this app!!!

### 1/5 — This app is to annoying

*2025-05-05, version 3.32.05*

investing made easy but the requests for everything is painful, their should be a setting for to turn of permission asking

### 1/5 — Worst app that is for kids banking

*2025-03-17, version 3.32.05*

My information came back. As a deceased person. This is not true now I don’t feel safe because my data is save on their computers please trust me when I say this use chase bank your 7 to 18 years olds I better not see my ID number and Social Security number on no website or I find a reason to sue the company.

### 1/5 — The worst

*2025-03-13, version 3.32.05*

Gives out pravite information

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Easily Accessible

*2026-05-27, version 3.33.01*

I’ve been using this app for years now to help my teenage son save and invest. And what I love most, is the ease of using this app. I have no complaints so far. Everything is easily accessible. You can move money around, buy stocks, donate to charities, send money directly to the debit card. What more could you ask for?

### 5/5 — here comes the money

*2026-04-23, version 3.33.01*

I’m an 11 year old child who uses this, and it’s great! The payment and bonus system are great, and has good security, organization, and practice. (Although I don’t feel comfortable handing out my email in public reviews)

On the flip side, there is a MAJOR problem. When you request to move your money to spend, or load your card, if it isn’t approved, the money is stuck in between and can’t be transferred until it was approved. I have lost a lot of money this way.

Something I would suggest is adding a request list for parents in the app, so they can go and look at requests and approve them without having to dig into messages.

Overall, good app.

### 5/5 — Great customer service and the app motivates the kiddos!

*2026-02-27, version 3.33.01*

Big shout out to Cindy in customer service for assisting with some address change questions. Kids love marking off their chores and the app is super customizable!

### 5/5 — Love

*2025-08-21, version 3.32.05*

I love this app so much

### 5/5 — Great for the whole family

*2025-08-19, version 3.32.05*

This has been a fantastic tool as a parent to help motivate and teach our kids on how to earn, spend, and save using digital funds. Our kids love having their own pre-paid debit card. I love telling them it’s their choice to buy something or not, as opposed to them begging me to buy something for them. It teaches them how to make financial decisions.

### 5/5 — Great Financial Tool

*2025-08-13, version 3.32.05*

This is a great tool to start teaching your kids about financial literacy.

### 5/5 — Feature request!

*2025-07-02, version 3.32.05*

It’s a fine app, but I would love to specify jobs without a specific date. I don’t care what day my kid cuts the grass. Just a list of open jobs that stay open into they are done. Not a dealbreaker, though.

### 5/5 — Amazing Tool

*2025-04-18, version 3.32.05*

Fantastic tool for our kids!

### 5/5 — Good way to teach kids to save money

*2025-01-06, version 3.31.51*

It is a good way to teach kids how to save their money and it is simple to set it up

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2024-10-04, version 3.31.04*

I shared Busykid with my 10 year old son. I talked to him about the importance of sharing. We’ve bought stocks with savings. It’s super simple to buy them and the profit/loss is easy to understand. He buys items using his debit card. Parent can decide how much is loaded onto his card. He thinks twice about buying because he needs to decide if is worth it. Saves me money. 😁
Couldn’t be happier.
