Could do with a few golf buggy’s going around the park to pick people up and take them to the main area as we was quite far with a 5 year old and wasn’t allowed to hire a pushchair also think the reds club need re organising as needs a proper dance floor for everyone to dance on atmosphere in the club not as it used to be at butlins but lovely weekend enjoyed it. ### 3/5 — Lack of spaces available *2024-03-28, version 1.3.5* I was a little disappointed when I went to book a activity or show that there were no spaces left. Also a bit disappointed that the fairground rides were not all available. ### 4/5 — Short break *2023-09-12, version 1.3.1* On arrival we eventually found our suite as the incorrect number was printed on our invoice,we were let in by cleaner early,to find settee stained phoned customer service and they sent a cleaner to rectify the next day,no problem,the food package was well worth the money as the food was exceptional choice and taste and plenty of places to choose from we found everything we did was enjoyable and plenty to do we did read reviews which we were sceptical but we were pleasantly surprised with staff helpfulness and cleanliness of the whole place,l must add it may be a different experience in the summer months as we went in September it was busy but not overcrowded,l would recommend it from our experiences but l wouldn’t take a lot of notice of the negative feedback as you cannot please everyone???one last thing the entertainment again was very professional and enjoyable(will be booking again) ### 4/5 — Good but not great. *2023-08-18, version 1.3.1* Great evening entertainment which could be easily booked via phone app. Premier dining was good but had to arrive early, otherwise very busy. Long queues for swimming…shame this wasn’t also bookable. Comfort Apartment nice but 8/10 for cleanliness. Shower was okay until other apartments started using the water. ### 4/5 — Butlins Minehead *2023-05-03, version 1.2.9* The app is good but could do with a few extra details for example- opening and closing times for each shop and bar, they all seem to open and shut at different times. Things which don’t need booking and also booked activities, it would be helpful if you could create an itinerary for your week with everything you want to do so you don’t miss anything. To be able to add or take things off your itinerary so you can plan your week. Shame staff are not so welcoming. You can view you booked upcoming activities in your wallet.. However, I would give 5 stars if these went to an itinerary where you could also save the non-bootable activities (the free to come along activities that you don’t need a booking for) This would be super helpful for the holiday as you can then add everything you’re interested in on one page, in order of date and time. Including photo opportunities etc. Now when I look at the activities page at the things I can’t save, I have to flit between the booked activities and the activity page to look at times etc. I would love a reminder at least for when to go get pictures with my sons favourite characters. ### 3/5 — My holiday at Butlins *2022-08-28, version 1.2.7* I gave this 3 stars because, on the first day, we went into the caravan and the wallpaper was off my aunties wall, rust along the towel barrier,half of wallpaper off my wall, and I went on the high ropes and the staff was so rude, but it is indeed a good place. ### 3/5 — Great to book activities but limitations let it down *2022-08-26, version 1.2.7* Why oh why can’t you amend bookings via the Ap? Having to traipse round site (because the Leisure Hub is closed or if open they say they can’t help anyway) is silly. Food great and Dine Around made choosing easy. Very peaceful at night for the first half of the week, then noisy, inconsiderate neighbours for the second half. You can book activity through app but to view qr code to access the activity or see what ypu have booked ypu need to go online through your booking e-mail. Ypu also can't book breakfast through the app. Or essentially any extras as its taking you anywhere. Had Gold apartment which was great. Premium dining and food was very good this year. Building new Skypark and have taken golf out which was disappointing for the children Shows are all in Studion 36 or Reds at the moment due to Centre Stage being refurbished. Kids enjoyed Stephen Mulhern and Electric Wonderland but some of the shows were boring for their age group at times Fair - don’t know whether they have changed height rules as last year my grandson drive a go kart on his own yet this year he couldn’t and he’s a year older and definitely taller than last year so he was very disappointed at this I have already booked for next year as the kids live it and still had a great time ### 5/5 — Lovely break away *2023-10-06, version 1.3.2* I can’t fault Butlins. We love it. We had silver rooms which were very clean. The TV was tiny though. We did premium food dining. Couldn’t fault it. Our boys 4 and 2 love it. There is so much for them to do. It wasn’t very busy because of the flood damage. The swimming was pleasant normally it stresses me out. The only issue we have with the whole holiday. The changing rooms in the pool are not family friendly. The cubicles are not big enough for a family. They need a refurb ### 5/5 — Butlin’s Minehead *2022-07-08, version 1.2.5* Had a great week at Butlin’s Minehead the comfort apartments was very clean and big. Entertainment was brilliant at night couldn’t find anything wrong with that. The only problems we found as a family with older kids was with the fair the rides for the older kids wasn’t working. Also you can book on the app for the entertainment and found this wasn’t controlled good in most of the areas at night. Where the people who hadn’t booked was allowed in at the same time so really no point booking in advance. the only place what made sure this happened was in Studio 36. ### 5/5 — Butlins Minehead Amazing *2022-03-25, version 1.2.4* We have brought my boys 3 and 1.5 twice in 5 months they love it. So much to do and so much to choice from. The staff are amazing really friendly. In October 21 my older boy took a liking to Emma in the restaurant and my this time March 22 she was still there and remember us and he also took a liking to daisy. All the team there in any department are friendly, helpful and nothing is to much trouble for them. Trying to book again for end of august. The site was busy but nothing was a problem, got into the Italian on the first night no problem, 2nd night was a bit busy but we walked straight into the chip shop which was good. Entertainment was fab, and the Shane Ritchie show was a treat. Usually we go for quieter sites but having experienced butlins for the first there is genuinely something for everyone. On our last night we took the kids for a stroll along the promenade and ate in the hairy dog, which was very good. The only downside for us….. we only went for 3 nights which is just not long enough. ### 5/5 — Last holiday *2021-08-18, version 1.0.3* It was so much better booking for the main events. Worked so well and u could sit and enjoy the shows instead of being jam packed. Hope this stays in place for future holidays. Always a great holiday but that made it so much better for me my friends and our kids. ### 5/5 — Fabulous!! *2021-08-05, version 1.0.3* Not been to minehead since I was about 10yrs old, returned this week during summer school holidays & had a fabulous week! Was nervous about how busy it was going to be but even though more people than ever on a staycation it hasn’t felt busy. App is fantastic letting us book the shows we want & have managed to get front & centre seats for most (need to start queuing quite early 20mins before they open doors) Staff have been great. Downside app not so good for livechat if you have any technical issues with your accommodation but managed to find someone & received help within an hr. Weather not always on our side but with so many shows inside like studio 36 it’s not been a problem. Inside kids fairground has been a huge hit too. On-site supermarket better than expected, well stocked with good range of items. Overall a fantastic holiday, plenty of shows & activities to do & restaurant food (when you can get in there) is really nice too. They would get 5 stars except for the fact that the reduced pool facilities on the arrival day and leaving. The Friday you are welcome to use facilities from 12 except nothing is open until at least 2pm then 3/4 of the pool is shut.
