I’ve enjoyed this app for a while and am really pleased to have this guide to British butterflies and moths. I would have loved to be able to identify the relevant caterpillars as well, but sadly it seems that is too much to ask.

I have 5 Spiny apps and they all use the same interface which is very easy to use. Species can be identified and sightings logged with your own pictures. I especially like the ability to compare pictures of different species to help identify what you are looking at. It would be even better though, if it were possible to flick through all the pictures available and not just the ones selected. E.g. you may wish to compare the top of a butterfly or mushroom, the underneath and then the distribution.

A good app. with sufficient information. I was going to buy a book instead but went for the app. but never really thought about it: Butterflies like the sun, but phone screen cannot be seen. Oops.

Wiederum eine sehr schöne und gut gemachte App von iSpiny! Kann allen empfohlen werden, die zum Beispiel in Great Britain in Urlaub sind und dort Schmetterlinge beobachten und bestimmen möchten. Viele Arten kommen natürlich auch in Mitteleuropa vor und somit ist auch hier diese App sehr hilfreich und informativ.

Lovely app with loads of pictures and info, very nice. The butterfly finder is very useful as well if you see a butterfly but don't know what it is
