I would like to see the balance after each transaction to aid in money management. But the app experience has a lot of room to improve. After launching the app, could not change time period, search button not working. Pls provide an update that works with ios 18 ### 1/5 — Find something else. *2024-09-14, version 4.0.1* Buxfer does not sync with bank and when problems are raised with them they say 48 hours response and they ignore and close the request. They'll take your money and ignore you and the issues with the platform - paid an annual fee and strongly regret it. I also have had notifications from my banks of log-ins from India and the US when I'm not using it, which is extremely concerning. So, I just cut my losses after no support and what I consider quite dodgy practice (Waited 3 months and raised probably over 10 tickets without response)— really not worth the risk - find something else. ### 3/5 — So much time waiting for an update, and it’s not great! *2024-08-04, version 4.0.1* I was happy to see that the was finally a new version of the mobile app, and it was nothing but a disappointment. Now I cannot even split my transactions, and anytime I’m allocating my expenses into the right category and coming back to the dashboard, it keeps going back to the top of the list, so I have to scroll down after any new allocated expense. If you want us to pay for this service, make your app at least minimally effective! ### 3/5 — Slow and clunky *2024-07-24, version 4.0.1* While I enjoy using the web version of the app on my laptop, the iOS version is slow and the functionality is very clunky. Manually adding transactions on the go (e.g. logging cash transactions or transactions with a bank account not served by open banking capabilities) is not very intuitive. All transactions are shown in US Dollars, despite my banks all being UK-based. I go to the help page and it said to cancel in settings and I have gone through the settings and can not find where to cancel. ### 1/5 — Not maintained anymore *2025-09-11, version 4.0.1* Last update was a year ago, privacy policy was updated 2017, won't trust my data and put effort into a service where no one is working on it anymore. 2fa with authy and SMS seems also broken. Be aware that he could just kill it any day. Sad though, connections are better than any other app I've tested. ### 1/5 — Buggy and useless *2025-09-02* Bank syncing is ALWAYS a problem. Tags change from one login to the next. Budgets are clunky. Also when you cancel a transaction, your budget for that category doesn’t update accordingly. Transactions and budget items appear twice. It allows me to do multi currencies and track spending with automatic downloads from most banks. The app allows me to check expenses or input cash spending easily in the go. The support is excellent and I’ve never seen a single bug in the program in the past year. it makes easy daily tracking of my accounts to the penny to manually match online or sync automatically! It backs up in cloud of my choice and they host on a pretty good cloud too.
