### 5/5 — Great for every day!!

*2026-06-20*

I was able to use this on a mezcal tasting tour where the tour guide only knew Spanish and I didn’t. I also used this to communicate with the taxi driver to get tips on what to visit in Mexico City. Looking forward to using the app in other countries!

It’s also super convenient to transcribe voicemails with this app as the iOS native transcription or Whatsapp transcription aren’t that great, especially if someone speaks multiple languages in the same sentence.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.2.0 — 2026-08-12

What's New in 2.2.0
• Buzz now looks and feels right at home on iOS: dialogs, menus, and pickers throughout the app have been redesigned with native iOS styling
• Language pickers now show English names alongside native spellings, making it easier to find your language
• Fixed an issue where the live transcript could occasionally go blank mid-session
• General stability improvements

### 2.1.3 — 2026-06-30

• New animated splash screen on launch
• Fixed shared audio notes opening to the wrong screen
• Fixed a crash exporting long PDF transcripts, plus wrong voice note duration
• Fixed duplicate entries in session history

### 2.1.2 — 2026-06-15

Added a Smart Scroll button to improve live caption viewing. If you scroll up to review earlier captions, tap the button to instantly return to the latest captions. Also includes performance improvements and minor bug fixes.

### 2.1.1 — 2026-06-09

• Auto-scroll: the transcript now follows along automatically as captions arrive — no more manual scrolling during a session
• Expanded font size range: more options to make captions as large or small as you need
• Improved connection stability: the app now detects stalled connections and recovers automatically, so sessions are less likely to silently drop
• Voice note import fixes: resolved a crash on large files and a race condition that caused transcripts to be missing on first open
• Audio reliability: the app now retries automatically when the speech engine fails mid-session instead of stopping silently

### 2.0.2 — 2026-05-31

This update brings a smoother, more reliable experience across the app. Sessions now restore correctly when you relaunch the app, and selecting languages is easier than ever with a clean, full-screen picker. We've also fixed an issue where session controls could be hidden behind the navigation bar on certain Android devices, resolved a mic permission dialog that appeared unstyled on some devices, and improved the usage history screen to show your total time per session at a glance.
