“Payment Method Rejected” is the unhelpful error message you will see.  Not suitable for visitors.

I was hoping to use this app while visiting Berlin, but, as of 2026, it only accepts payment from European credit and debit cards. Payment forms linked to overseas financial institutions are NOT accepted.

Habe gerade die App aktualisiert und jetzt kann ich mich nicht mehr anmelden und mein Deutschlandticket runterladen bzw. vorzeigen. Bisher war ich sehr zufrieden… was ist da los?

PS: nach einigen Stunden und mehrmaligen Neustart meines Handys (iPhone SE 2020)war alles wieder in Ordnung.

Ticketkauf ist klasse und geht schnell! Die Kartenansicht ist sehr rechenintensiv und ruckelig, vor allem wenn alle Verkehrsmittel dort angezeigt werden.

Jetzt fahre ich mal mit der Bahn und jetzt das. Diese App erklärt sich mir nicht. Die App ist nicht in der Lage, mir eine Zugverbindung in Echtzeit z. B. vom Bhf Charlottenburg nach Königs Wusterhausen anzuzeigen, so wie es in der VBB App möglich ist. Eine Merken-Funktion wäre auch hilfreich, um nicht jedesmal umständlich danach zu suchen. Die Gleisinformationen weichen von den Daten der VBB App ab. VBB zeigt Gleis 2, Jelbi zeigt Gleis 1. Die App wurde mal wieder am User vorbei konzipiert. Der Ticket Checkout hingegen ist sehr gut gelöst. Gruß an Marcel

Es fehlt die Möglichkeit, Tickets in der IPhone Wallet zu registrieren. Das ist ziemlich unverständlich. Ich kaufe Tickets über die alte BVG-App

Nach Antwort von Jelbi wird alles wieder wie gewohnt angezeigt. 
Ich nutze von Anfang an das D-Ticket und es wurde fast immer zuverlässig angezeigt. Jetzt wird es gar nicht mehr angezeigt. Das ist unbefriedigend, weil ich mein Deutschlandticket in einer Kontrolle nicht vorzeigen kann und ich somit unnötigen Ärger habe. Das muss zuverlässiger sein.

Diese Störung konnte glücklicherweise schnell behoben werden und wir gehen daher davon aus, dass dir auch dein Deutschlandticket nun wieder wie gewohnt angezeigt werden sollte. Registration process was difficult (too many questions and takes too much time, I missed my train). I did not manage to add my card (Revolut bank), ended up buying ticket from ticket machine.

Update:
I'm sorry for blaming the developers of the application for that my card was declined, because it's not their fault, but the payment processor. But I still couldn't buy a ticket, don't waste your time, find a ticket machine. PS thank you for contacting me, I don't need help with the app currently, since I was a tourist in Berlin ❤️❤️

Funktioniert grundsätzlich und ist recht übersichtlich. Was seit Monaten nervt: In 90% der Fälle schlägt der erste Zahlungsversuch fehl. Obwohl im Backend eine Bankverbindung samt SEPA-Mandat hinterlegt sind. Kann doch nicht so schwer sein?! Wären eigentlich maximal 3 Sterne. 4 Sterne gibt es nur, weil die Fehler bei der Zahlung gelegentlich in kostenlosen Tickets enden. Das verstehe ich mal als Entschädigung für den Ärger mit der App. 🤓

My data-only eSIM doesn’t offer an international number, so I couldn’t use the app. If you’re visiting Germany from elsewhere, don’t waste your time with this app.

The app has numerous bugs, offers no support service (it refers you to the service provider you chose, who can’t do anything about it!!), and is unable to simply define certain products being sold!

Can not add my bus pass from BVG app and could not add my credit cards to Jelbi.

**Developer response:** Hi, we suppose that by bus pass you perhaps mean the Deutschlandticket? A Deutschlandticket subscription can only be displayed in the app when the mobile version was chosen. It would be great if you could send us an email from your registered email address to appsupport@bvg.de so that we can check your request, in regard to this and also in regard to the registration of the credit card! 💛

No matter what card or payment method, nothing worked. I see a review from 3 years ago with the only solution offered is to reach out to LogPay. Utterly ridiculous. I’m trying to buy train tickets while in the station, not debug an app.

The brainiacs behind this app made it for tourists but you can’t pay unless you use a credit card issued by a bank inside Europe.  If you live elsewhere keep looking.

This app will not take any credit card and when I call my bank, they don’t show a charge was even attempted. I tried two Visas and one Mastercard (from separate banks). There are no issues with these cards.

Hallo liebes App Team ihr habt mir ja geschrieben das ich für das aktualisieren von unten nach oben. Wischen soll aber leider ist es so das es in der bvg App nicht funktioniert da fehlt dieser Button aktualisieren könnt ihr das an  eure Kollegen weiterleiten für die Weiterentwicklung und für die kommenden Updates vlt dabei ist

Jetzt finden wir aber, dass sich die Jelbi-App deine beiden verbleibenden Sterne redlich verdient hat, oder? Das wäre mega mega nett! 💛Update: lieben Dank für das Aktualisieren deiner Bewertung. Wir haben leider kein genaues Datum, aber diesen Sommer sieht es gut aus ;). Und um die Abfahrten zu aktualisieren, musst du nur mit dem Finger auf dem Bildschirm die Ansicht nach unten ziehen.

I hope every city follows with this integration of all mobility. I have a load of apps for lime, train, etc. One app that rules them all and is not a different price. Just an app that makes it convenient and is for the good of people

I’m writing this review purely because I was so impressed using this app as a tourist for a week. It merges together all the public transit data you need. Location, arrival times, routes for every mode of transit. Even payment processing so you never have to leave the app. Tip: connect your Jelbi account to PayPal (which is then connected to your credit card) to avoid your CC getting declined which seems to happen to a lot of users (did for me too)
