### 5/5 — Great App but no AutoX or Apple Pencil support yet

*2026-02-22*

A very good app but unlike the android version it doesnt have the AutoX feature which I have setup on my system. And unlike on a samsung tablet with SPen, using the haptic engine on the Apple Pencil is not mapped to right mouse button which I hope will get added in the future.

**Developer response:** Hi there!

Those are excellent suggestions! In order to get them prioritized, we need you to make the feature requests in the project issue tracker here https://github.com/iiordanov/remote-desktop-clients/issues.

Thank you!

### 1/5 — Not ready for prime time

*2026-01-15*

Screen layout is as if the app was programmed by someone who was trying to write their first app. The free version on the Android phone ‘bVNC’ works perfectly with ultraVNC. This iPhone version is useless. Requesting a refund.

**Developer response:** You went from complaining about the app not working with UltraVNC to complaining about the user interface. I guess you did get it working with UltraVNC but needed another moral excuse to give the app 1-stars and get your refund.

Still, if you do reach out by email at support@morpheusly.com and we will give you the app for free so you can help us test. UltraVNC is one of our primary test-cases and working perfectly with bVNC for iOS/MacOS. I'd love to find out what went wrong on your network. Obviously get a refund, the app is Free and Open Source (see the description) and this is a donation version. The UI of an app is always a work in process, your feedback is also very welcome in that regard.

### 5/5 — Pikvm compatible

*2025-03-02*

Works perfectly with my pikvm

**Developer response:** Thank you, Jonas! I hope other happy users will also share their positive experiences with the app!

### 1/5 — Constantly crashes

*2024-08-04*

App will randomly not open. Restarting my Mac fixes it, but I don't want to constantly restart my OS just to use a VNC client.

**Developer response:** Great feedback for the app before I released the silicon version. Thanks for not updating the review ;)

### 2/5 — Frustrating

*2024-07-24*

I had to emulate an android device on my Mac so I could try the free version. Very frustrating. There should be a trial/free version so I know that the connection type for PiKVM is supported.

Now on Mac, the connection constantly fails. Yikes...

**Developer response:** The "free version" you speak of is the Android version - it has nothing to do with this software. This app is also free and open source, and I produce and distribute the version on the app store as a way for people to donate to support the project and as a convenience for you not to have to build the software yourself. Cheers! :)

### 4/5 — Works great but SSH with RSA broken

*2024-04-02*

The app works well, but beware that the app doesn't like RSA SSH keys much. Better to use ed25519 or ecdsa keys. They're more secure anyways.

**Developer response:** https://github.com/iiordanov/remote-desktop-clients/issues/540

For whoever reported RSA keys not working with bVNC, aRDP or aSPICE, I found the root cause, and I suspected it's a server-side issue.

1. I checked /var/log/auth.log on an Ubuntu 22.04 machine which was reproducing the issue, and found:

May 19 21:33:18 subgenius sshd[3205570]: userauth_pubkey: key type ssh-rsa not in PubkeyAcceptedAlgorithms [preauth]

2. Edited as user root the file /etc/ssh/sshd_config and I added to the bottom of it:

PubkeyAcceptedAlgorithms ssh-rsa

3. I restarted the server with:

Ubuntu 22.04:
systemctl restart ssh

MacOS Ventura and newer:
launchctl stop ssh
launchctl start sssh

4. Thereafter RSA keys worked again.

### 1/5 — SSH support broken

*2024-03-18*

I got this for the SSH support. It can't even handle key based auth. The key I give it, which is a standard OpenSSH key isn't being passed properly. No documention exists that helps me confirm if I'm using the app right or not.

**Developer response:** Hi there, Cyberpower678.

Thanks for getting in touch. You can always get your money back on the App Store! Please follow the instructions on: https://support.apple.com/en-ca/118223.

I believe you and I are already in touch on github about this issue. Rest assured that I'll get things working, but please do check back and respond to my questions on the github issue whenever you get a chance.

Also, feel free to reach out to support _at_ morpheusly _dot_ com for help, as there is a lot that we can help you with, including giving away the app for free. My intention is not to stick users with software that doesn't work for them but to have each and every user happy with what they have.

Thanks for your feedback and looking forward to your response!

### 1/5 — Crashes - does not run

*2024-02-28*

Apple M1 Sonoma 14.2.1 laptop. Won't even start, core dumps immediately. Report sent to Apple. Hate spending money on an app that doesn't work even if its only $8.
-Greg

**Developer response:** Great feedback for an ancient version before the silicon build was released. Thanks :)

### 1/5 — Password Storage

*2023-07-13*

There is no password prompt, you are forced to trust and store passwords with this app.

**Developer response:** This review no longer reflects anything approaching the reality of the app's features.

### 2/5 — App Abstürze

*2023-03-07*

Moin

**Developer response:** Amazing feedback, Nik :)
