You have to buy them. That needs to change; with so many adds to watch, developers get more than enough money to share with players without asking for cash to increase TH. That’s my main concern. I’ll give it that, but the amount of effort that you have to put in this just stinks. I did buy the hamster thinking I would gradually buy more pets for more “mining power.” You have to watch a ridiculous amount of ads to keep your horned frog fed. I guess after a month or so of grinding and leveling up that you can get your farm up to a level where you produce enough crops to constantly buy pet food for him. But the earn rate is abysmal… 3 weeks of lots of play and ad watching and I’m only at 39¢ worth of BTC in my wallet. This isn’t a bitcoin mining game. It’s a revenue share from the ads that you watch under the guise of bitcoin mining. It’s entertaining. But don’t expect to really earn anything out of it. The UI is a little off… the font is so incredibly small you can barely read the timers on the farm and you have to be dead accurate to tap on your crops to water/harvest when your farm gets bigger. **Developer response:** Thank you for being this specific. We’re glad the art and core game entertained you, but the effort-to-reward balance clearly didn’t meet your expectations. Ads are important to funding ByPet, but they are optional and do not determine a pet’s mining output; that follows the pet’s mining power and status. Your farm stays with you and can keep benefiting you over time. As it develops, caring for pets becomes easier, and having active friends can significantly improve your efficiency. We need to explain this progression and the expected output more clearly before purchase. Your points about tiny timers and unforgiving crop tap areas are concrete usability problems, and we’ll work to improve them. ### 5/5 — Fun idle game YRXJDR8N *2026-07-20, version 2.4.3* I will say I have invested in a couple of these cloud mining games. Irving major but enough that I am soapy accruing money. I will say that it is better than a lot of the idle bitcoin games and you will make more. This is not a get rich scheme. It’s a slow and steady wins the race experience. On top of that you get to grow crops and level up which I do enjoy. My friend code is in the title so feel free to add me and come steal some of my crops for extra coins! ### 5/5 — Works *2026-07-20, version 2.4.3* So far so good if you need a friend added my code is MT998LT3 ### 5/5 — A great miner *2026-07-20* This miner is free and pretty fun because of how it uses pets as it’s miners, get a frog for free and the rest you can buy (and permanently keep so no monthly fees for this one, it’s supported by the purchases and ads to keep your free pet and farm going) at varying prices. The thing about the free pet is it’s very slow but the more pets you get it can become even better as they make it more efficient. I do like that so your beginner pet isn’t always just useless. **Developer response:** This is a very fair take. Ads can get tiring, especially when you’re just trying to keep the Horned Frog fed. They help support the free path and keep ByPet running, but we still need to make that balance feel better. Also, thanks for pointing out the no-subscription part. Once you get a pet, it stays yours. ### 5/5 — Great - Use Referral Code V2VS7V9X *2026-07-20, version 2.4.3* I’ve had this game for a couple of weeks now, without purchasing any boosters I’ve managed to build up around 250 sats, which in the grand scheme of things isn’t a lot, but it eventually builds up. I like the simplicity of the game in general, with the virtual farming aspect and the bitcoin mining aspect being a good combination in my personal opinion. So far I haven’t put any money into the game, and I’ve had no issues with it, so I’m looking forward to continuing mining with it and seeing where it gets me. If you’re interested in downloading ByPet please use the referral code V2VS7V9X, it’ll really help me out. ### 3/5 — The estimation is deceiving. *2026-07-19, version 2.4.3* Approximately 45% of the estimated daily results are the actual results and usually when you give an estimation you should undervalue it so that when the consumer actually gets their results it’s overdelivered, so either there’s a blockchain dev that has it out for me and is diminishing my returns for everything crypto (the more than likely plausibility goven the purchased hash rate in combination with a daily pool, thieves) or some people need to work on their selling skills, similar activity for gomining. ### 3/5 — Good game *2026-07-19, version 2.4.3* I love it ### 5/5 — access denied *2026-07-17, version 2.4.3* for some reason it started telling me “access denied” and now I cant log back in. Well the Collie says it comes with 38,000 dog food. That’s a lie. It says I have 2,000. The purchase says 599.99 and they charged me 641.99. And the Collie came with an automatic feeder basically looking like before purchase that it would be a forever item they give you. As soon as I bought it there now a timer for 364 days and 24 hours. Not happy with my purchase at all so far, but the crops and game are fun, I just wish someone could get these kinds of games right and not try to be so scammy with the money aspect of them and actually let people make what’s advertised and charge them what’s advertised. Update: this is the next day and over the first next of having the dog he used up about 400 food. If I were to buy 400 food from the store that would be 12 million coins. And I’m supposed to earn that in a day so when I go to sleep he can be earning. This game is rigged and I would advise not getting any of the paid animals. If I earn constantly I will get my money back in 5 years of gameplay, and I was ok with the going into it, but now knowing all this it will be impossible to ever earn my money back. Oh and I just found out the pool is for new pets only and you lose that bonus after 30 days.
