Byson is a fast, native MongoDB client for developers who manage databases on the go.

Connect to any MongoDB deployment - local, self-hosted, or Atlas - and browse, query, and analyze your data with a clean, mobile-first interface.

Big-screen workspace
  • Byson now adapts to larger screens with a dedicated 3-column workspace:
    connections, databases and collections, and a full collection workspace
    (Documents, Query, Indexes, and Schema side by side).
  • Uses the whole display instead of a stretched, scaled-up layout.
  • All orientations supported on larger screens.

  More secure connections
  • Custom CA TLS: trust self-signed or private-CA servers by pasting your CA certificate.

  Fixes and polish
  • Number-pad fields (app passcode setup, index TTL) now have a Done button,
    so the keyboard always collapses.

### 1.0.14 — 2026-06-19

- RSA keys now connect to modern servers. Byson signs with rsa-sha2-256/512 instead of the deprecated SHA-1 scheme that OpenSSH 8.8+ rejects, so RSA keys finally work - including passphrase-protected keys.
- Optional Face ID / Touch ID / passcode lock for the app (Settings → Security). Set an app passcode separate from your device passcode; choose when it auto-locks.
- Smarter connection defaults (a blank host/port assumes 127.0.0.1:27017 - handy for SSH tunnels), clearer “Test connection” errors, and a tidier connection form.
