However, there are some annoying bugs that make it almost unusable. I have an account on the app, but every time I open it, I’m logged out and have to log back in, which means my notification preferences and favorited teams don’t save, rendering notifications basically useless. Also, there used to be a feature where you could see upcoming events for all sports on a calendar ribbon at the top of the home page, which was super nice. Now, to see upcoming games, you have to click into each individual sport’s schedule, which is a lot more tedious. With a few improvements, this app could be even better than it already is! ### 3/5 — Missing some VERY basic features *2023-12-12* In the Shop section, there is literally no way to go back a page. So once you click to view and item, the only way to go back is to start over. Seems pretty basic. Still, it’s a big improvement. ### 3/5 — Need to be able to find players more easily *2023-11-27* Generally an improvement. However, it’s missing basic features to make it usable. For example, you can’t reorder the roster by name or search for a player’s name. It’s only in order of jersey number. It also won’t save the roster in the app for game day when there isn’t decent cell service. Please add some of these simple features. Go Cougs! ### 2/5 — Terrible experience with Gameday Bingo and other Fan Experiences *2021-11-06* I’ve tried several times to enter/play the fan experiences, and almost every time I’ve been unable to participate. I’m sitting in a game while writing this review, where I should already have three bingos, and yet there have been a total of 0 updates to the board. When the selfie cam was prompted, I opened the section for it, and was unable to participate. Same thing with the light-show. It just continued to say “syncing” throughout the entire time it was supposed to be working. This app has not worked more often than it has, and is extremely aggravating to deal with. It is however, very fun on the seldom times when it functions properly. ### 2/5 — Nice app but doesn’t always work *2021-09-19, version 6.03* Has good stuff in the app, but it’s updated so late for that day’s game. Also the Light Show never synced for me right in the middle of the stadium. Bummer. ### 3/5 — Please correct spelling of Marriott on the “Reserved for Gameday” Splash Screen *2019-09-07* On the “Reserved for Gameday” splash screen that tells you the App only works in LaVell Edwards Stadium for home football games and the Marriott Center for home basketball games...you spelled Marriott incorrectly. It has two (2) “t” in the name, not one. Not all of us can attend the games! ### 4/5 — Not quite right on XS Max *2018-10-14* All the menus and tab bar icons are mashed up against the edges of the screen on the iPhone XS Max, making it hard to even tap the buttons. Otherwise, pretty solid ### 1/5 — Awful App/Questionable reviews *2018-09-11, version 2.3* BYU should be embarrassed to have their name on this app. Replace are limited and not updated to view on the app. Also, the app says it can only be used at LaVell Edwards Stadium on game day. **Why are there so many five star reviews before BYU ever had a home game?** ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Can’t even handle log in *2025-10-08* This app can’t even handle the basics. Can’t paste your email address from the phone. You have to type it in. After resetting password twice and trying to log in it tells me wrong password every time. And doesn’t allow you to access The iPhone password app to pull in your email and password. There also isn’t any ability to send issues to the app developer through their app! ### 1/5 — Photo *2025-08-27, version 11.4.0* Can’t upload my photo. It freezes every time ### 1/5 — Parents beware!!! *2025-07-20, version 11.3.8* If you are a parent who tries to limit what your kids can access on the internet, this app is NOT your friend! There is a section that directs the user to BYU content on YouTube. However, once there, they can watch literally any YouTube video they want. I found my son watching an incredibly raunchy comedian using this app. How in the world did this get approved for 4+ years of age? Apple should review this app again. And BYU…what in the world? Help protect our children! ### 1/5 — Must sign in everytike to view tickets *2024-08-31, version 11.2.8* Every time you open the app you have to sign in to your account to see your tickets. This new version doesn’t list the dates for future games at first glance and doesn’t at all list the scores for past games. The new version is pretty much useless for my needs. ### 1/5 — Poor app designed to serve more ads *2021-11-05* Maybe they had some intent to improve the in-game experience for fans, but it’s lost in execution. This is a poorly design app that gives up too much space for ads and is used to for in-game sponsorships. NCAA games are already too commercialized. We don’t need more. ### 1/5 — Too many bugs *2021-09-26, version 6.03* It just doesn’t work right. The “light show” only works half the time. The fan bingo doesn’t update right. None of the shopping works. I the WiFi in stadium is awesome now and I can finally listen to the games on the radio while in the stadium without burning through data.
