This is nearly useless. ### 4/5 — Great Content but Poor Audio *2024-10-17* Great content but there is an audio output issue. The volume must be turned up by 175% in order to hear the program speakers. The station is not transmitting an auto-balanced audio signal strength which makes it very difficult to listen to. ### 4/5 — Apple CarPlay *2022-03-13* Would be really cool to add CarPlay support. The new rainbow thing on this icon, in combo with the font, makes it look even more like a kid’s program app than the BYUtv one. 😬 I showed the new icon to some people hoping it was a sign that BYU was going back to Royal Blue, but instead of talking about royal blue and BYU football, they said “what’s up with the font? It looks like an app for kids.” Everyone else agreed and frankly I do too. The new look doesn’t paint the right picture. The old icon/font looked professional and was really solid. ### 3/5 — CarPlay *2018-10-06, version 2.0.73* What are the chances of making this app more CarPlay compatible? Also, the signal seems to be lost more frequently than on other apps. ### 2/5 — No pause *2018-09-09, version 2.0.73* Used to be able to watch tv and listen. Now the app is ahead of tv and when I pause to synchronize them, app always adjusts back to live - 2-5 seconds ahead of the tv. Prefer wrubell but also want to see before he tells me what happens! ### 4/5 — 👍🏻Great Library... needs an update *2017-01-03* I love listening to all the lectures and forums i.e. Wheatley Forum, Eyres on the Road-- 5✭ shows. I wish you could save a show to a playlist, or share the episode. Often I want to text a link to my husband or friend on a show I enjoyed. There is no option for this. Also, download the episode so I can listen offline while road tripping. An app I'm comparing BYU Radio too is the Mormon Channel. ### 2/5 — Great! Excellent! ...but. *2016-05-16, version 2.0.18* Yep. I will change my rating if... Love this app, but really, how can we send messages to the developer to help make it a 5 star app if you give no other way to contact? *add a "share this episode" link? It's cumbersome leading friends to each great episode. Come on guys, that's a simple fix. The Mormon channel has that simple feature... just not your programming, like the awesome Matt Townsend show. *Should have a 15 and/or 30 second jump back & forward button on archived shows. That would be awesome. Do this and you'll get 5 stars, from everyone!!! Grrrr! While listening to the BYU football game, it will show random other streams on the Home Screen or Control center. Re-opening the app will sometimes switch to a random other stream. I downloaded the app when I moved to Lincoln NE but I get no past shows—the message ‘Get Media Failed’. My schedule only allows for past shows rarely live. What’s with the app? **Developer response:** Hi, I am sorry you were having issues getting past episodes of The Lisa Show. Please reach out to us at 1-866-662-9888 (Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm MT) so we can troubleshoot this with you if you are still having issues. ### 1/5 — Repeatedly cuts out *2019-10-05* With strong WiFi and 30 Mbps Internet that nothing else is currently using, this app provided about 10-12 seconds of audio before cutting off. Closing and re-launching usually brought it back, taking about one minute to get there and then it would drop, again. There was nothing in the app to indicate that it wasn’t still connected. There’s no mechanism to “force” it to reconnect (stopping then starting playback within the app never worked). BTW, the new logo does look childish, as others have pointed out. ### 1/5 — Poor connectivity lousy app *2017-04-01, version 2.0.62* Trying to listen to conference. I have a good signal and this app keeps cutting out. This app is called BYU radio, and for many years music has been the primary thing on the radio, but all you have available are podcasts. So the only time I use this app is to listen to general conference if I’m not where I can watch it.
