I was excited to use this app, but not anymore. I may reconsider it once there’s an option to create a profile without connecting it to Facebook. **Developer response:** Dear Mimdawn, you can now create an account in Byzans through an email login (in addition to the former Facebook login). If you have further questions, do not hesitate to contact us directly at: info@byzans.com ### 4/5 — A great idea... want to read a book together ? *2019-08-15* Really appreciate that someone took this ‘sweet’ concept and developed an App around it. Because oftentimes we do connect with someone out there who expresses an interest in a read at the same time we do, but we are not physically in the same place ... so where... how to discuss it. Byzans offers us a way to do that and it’s pretty darn ‘user friendly’. Some things I would like to see: 1. might there be a bit easier way to find one’s most recently read books (scrolling on a mobile is no fun , especially the more books one enters). Maybe at some point one might have an option to arrange by date read rather than alphabetical. 2. A way to edit on a comment... if one makes and error or typo and wishes to correct, presently no way to do that. **Developer response:** Thanks for the kind review and the brilliant ideas to improve Byzans. Edit: you can now edit messages in Byzans. ### 4/5 — Book Club without having to go to a book club *2019-05-30* I’m really enjoying this new app. The only improvement I see so far that can be made is to allow someone to “react” to a comment, similar to features seen on Facebook, iMessage, and GroupMe. I don’t always want to have to reply with words, sometimes I want to be able to agree or just disagree with a comment. **Developer response:** Thanks Franam11, that's a brillant idea! It’s great to be able to talk about the books that I want to read, I am reading or I’ve already read. The community is beautiful too 😊 ### 5/5 — Amazing Concept, Properly Executed *2020-06-19* Every time I read an amazing book, I wish I had people to talk about it with. It seemed like nobody was reading the same books as me, so I tried out Goodreads. That app is just plain awful, so I thought the concept of online book clubs wouldn’t work, until I found Byzans! It has been so much fun to chat with people about our favorite scenes/characters and discuss lore and theories from our favorite books. Plus, the developers are adding new features all the time, I’m so excited for book ratings and reviews. Not only can your friends join, but people all over the world can buddy read together to discuss books. It is easy to navigate and use the chat features. I love the idea of being able to share thoughts on a book, while reading a book, or even before reading a book.
