What you have here now is the entire New Testament written with the so called Koine Greek which is ancient greek used within the old Byzantine Empire. Below each word in greek you see the transliterated word in plain English for pronunciation. So you can read right ahead even without knowing any greek at all. But I am sure you will find words you already heard of but you did not realize that originally it came from ancient greek. That's fascinating isn't it? Wrote to developer who ignored my message. App is a mess. Avoid. ### 5/5 — Greek Bible *2019-04-27* Very helpful if wanting to study Greek New Testament ### 1/5 — Incorrect translations *2017-12-14, version 2.1.0* There are incorrect translations in this app and it doesn’t offer the ability to correct the mistranslations. Bad choice if you want to learn koine or study the Word in the original text. ### 3/5 — byztxtlite *2016-03-26, version 2.1.0* This review only applies to the free ('lite') version. If you want an electronic copy of the Greek text, this is fine BUT it only contains a couple of books as a taster. The pronunciation guide is a bit limited because it doesn't distinguish between long and short vowels. The English translation is fairly useless, in my humble opinion, because it only translates a minority of the Greek words. Moreover, simply translating Greek to English word by word really gives no real sense of the meaning of the Greek because word-order is different in the two languages, Greek idiom is different from English, Greek often doesn't use the verb 'to be' but leaves it to be understood, etc., etc. Maybe all these features are addressed in the full £9.99 version but, if they are not, then 'caveat emptor'. ### 1/5 — Oh no!! *2015-12-14, version 2.1.0* Don't download this app. It won't delete from my system. I know the app reads along with the Byzantine text type, but when I compared it to my Trinitarian Bible Society Greek New Testament, I came across a number of variants that were unmentioned in the program.
