Please fix it! ### 3/5 — Audio to low on App *2022-02-24* It’s great when I’m indoors and alone but when I’m outside or around people I can’t hear what’s being said even with AirPods on highest level. Please add feature to raise in app audio volume ### 3/5 — Was a 5 star app until a few days ago *2021-11-15* I think C-span is trying to force everyone to C-span now. I have rejected that app for a few weeks but starting now it is popping up every few minutes. The C-span radio stream keeps cutting out where you have to restart it every few minutes if it will restart at all. So I gave it and downloaded the C-span Now app thinking that I would be able to listen to the Washington Journal as I have for years now with out an issue and without tying it to cable same as I listen in my car. I use to love this app bu if you need to put a bug in it to force us onto another platform that requires an outside paid subscription why not say that up front. If long time users of the C-span Radio app are going to be cut off from listening just be upfront about it. Don’t annoy us with intermittent cut off. Use yo love the app now I’m just annoyed with it. ### 2/5 — Keeps stopping? *2021-11-14, version 4.1.9* Every.minute.or.three. Even if in foreground, it just quits. This seems to be a characteristic of the more recent versions. I just downloaded this 1 hr ago Sounds edited though. *2021-02-15, version 4.1.1* I’ve had problems with the feed pausing every 5 mins. ### 2/5 — Still not functioning like a quality app. *2020-07-26* Still crashing after playing 1-2 minutes using current Apple OS on tablet. Sometime fixes if I restart my tablet. This doesn’t happen with any other app. Still doesn’t have a horizontal display. This seems like a developer problem not including this feature in the app. Still not available on Roku or SlingTV! I have contacted both providers, but still waiting. This is an ongoing issue apparently back years! I use a lot of online radio apps that work. Reach out to Tunity, WBAP, TuneIn radio, almost any other radio app because they make it work. However the playback is terrible; it constantly stops. Yesterday it was stopping literally every - ten - seconds. I gave up listening because I got tired of manually restarting playback. Thank you ### 2/5 — Want to love but it keeps crashing *2019-12-04* I’m really enjoying being able to listen to this radio while having the screen off and letting it run while I do my work. But too often it crashes. It frequently pauses on its own and won’t resume unless I get back into the app and re-enter the stream. Other times it will just crash out of the app completely. It’s very frustrating and defeats the purpose of having it stream with the screen off. If that bug could be fixed, that would greatly improve the experience of the app. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you enjoy listening with your screen off, but sorry you are having to re-launch the stream or the app. We'd like our users' experience to be as smooth as possible and will have our development team investigate any stability issues. ### 2/5 — Buggy app for live streams *2019-11-20, version 4.0.5* Constantly disconnects and pauses when in the app or outside the app. ### 2/5 — Latest update makes app unusable *2019-10-30* I loved the app before the latest update, but now the stream cuts out after one minute or so and must be manually restarted in order to continue playing the content. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING such that I no longer want to use the app. I hope this is fixed quickly, however, because C-Span is my source of unfiltered information about what is happening in our nation’s capital. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — CSPAN radio app stopped working on iPhone *2026-03-13, version 4.3.4* I used to be able to stream content on the app but as of Israel’s war with Iran it stopped streaming completely ### 1/5 — App connection problem *2023-02-02* C-Span radio app loses the connection for no apparent reason, forcing the listener to press the play button to resume listening. Stoppage occurs every minute or so of listening. This is problem is occurring on my iPhone 12 mini with an updated OS. I am on WiFi with a cold connection. According to the Apple Store, the C-Span app was last updated 2 mo ago. If it weren’t for this problem, my rating would be 4 stars. ### 1/5 — App lost function *2022-03-13, version 4.2.2* A lot of use poor people have older devices. It upsets me that you no longer can see the daily program schedule. WHY? ### 1/5 — C-span is good *2021-11-15, version 4.1.9* It’s not CSPAN’s’s faults that this app IS LOUSY(🪳)—but lousy it has been, nonetheless. Needs 1.) player UI: Play, Rewind, skip, so forth, etc. 2.) Schedule slots should contain link to more descriptive page, keep what is there, add a (“more....>>”) link, so the user is presented with comp. descr. of the content, event, broadcast, etc. ### 1/5 — Crashes too often! *2021-11-14* It worked well for a few years, but the last year or so it constantly loses connection and now even completely cashes. It is extremely unstable. The C-SPAN Now app requires a cable subscription and the radio portion of it only streams the main C-SPAN radio station. The ad tech trackers may be the culprit as they make hundreds of connections to their servers and if you block them, which you should, they continuously try to make connections in the background which compromises the stream. Ugh, I am utterly disappointed in you C-SPAN and I’ll never pay for cable again! Good bye C-SPAN! ### 1/5 — Why? *2020-12-09, version 4.1.1* Does not work. Hit play and nothing. Maybe on Android. C-SPAN plays it fully and doesn’t censor. The hosts of the shows are very fair to both sides.
