## What is C172S Pad?

Gyronimo Performance Pad -Cessna 172 S-
The ultimate flight computer for Mass & Balance and Performance.

Calculate and interpolate performance data using the actual values from the Cessna 172 S Pilot's Operating Handbook.
(Note - this app does not provide updated POH data. For flight planning, always use the original POH of the airplane you will be flying)


Performance Results are updated immediately and displayed in high-resolution graphics, enhanced for the iPad Retina displays.


Change all important values using sliders. 
Experiment with the results and create "what if" scenarios in no time.

Find your optimal cruise altitude, takeoff ground roll, landing distance,
climb data and stall speeds.

The Performance Pad C172S has seven main pages:

1. The Mass & Balance (or Weight & Balance) Page
Calculates Center of Gravity, Moments, Takeoff and Zero Fuel Mass as well as Percent MAC (% MAC).

Set person and baggage weights in seconds using the convenient sliders.
Check if the CG is within limits using three graphical displays
- Moment Envelope
- CG envelope 
- Aircraft axis
or see a complete load manifest that you can send to your email address to quickly prove that you have completed the Weight & Balance for your flight.



2. The Takeoff Page
Using the actual data from the C172S Operating Handbook
the Performance Pad calculates and displays Ground Roll and Landing Distance
based on:

- Aircraft Mass
- Takeoff Elevation in MSL (Pressure Altitude and Density Altitude will be computed)
- Outside Air Temperature (OAT)
- Altimeter Setting
- Runway Conditions (i.e. paved dry to grass or extra factors up to 100%)
- Wind Conditions

Wind Components Computer
- Use the Wind Components page to determine your headwind or tailwind component.
Rotate the wind dial to set wind direction, set windspeed and the results will be 
transferred to your takeoff computations automatically!

3. The Climb page
Calculates time, fuel and distance based on
- Difference between Takeoff Elevation and intended Flight Level
- Altimeter Setting
- Outside Air Temperature (OAT)
- Altimeter Setting 
- Headwind or Tailwind Component

The Rate of Climb and Climb Speed will be displayed.


4. The Cruise Page
Using the actual data from the Pilot's Operating Handbook you can 
determine the optimal cruise altitude based on 
- Trip Distance 
- Flight Level
- Engine RPM
- Temperature 
- Wind and Altimeter Setting

and calculate Break Horse Power (% BHP), Fuel Flow and True Airspeed

The Max Range and Range including Reserve will be displayed graphically.

The Fuel Management allows to input Reserve Time for Contingency, Alternate and Final Reserve.
The Fuel Usage is displayed graphically.

5. Landing Page
Calculates Ground Roll and Landing Distance based on wind, elevation, altimeter setting etc. 
Use the Wind Components Computer to quickly determine head- or tailwind components

6. Stall Speed Page.
Calculates The Stall Speed based on Bank Angle and Flap Settings.
Stall Speed will be computed as KIAS and KCAS using the actual values from the Cessna POH.

7. Setup
- Load and Save up to five Aircraft Settings and Scenarios.
- Send a Mass & Balance Summary to your email address. 
- Visit our video channel and watch tutorials and video manuals.

Love this app. Truly one of my most used apps. My only critique is that the sliders are really hard to keep on a specific value when lifting your finger off the screen. Other than that it is well worth the cost! I’d buy this for any plane I plan to fly.

This is an awesome app. It's great for student pilots to be able to visualize each of the changes and the effects of those changes. And it's so easy to use! We are in the process of re-standardizing our part 141 flight school to an all iPad paperless program and we will be requiring this app to be installed by all of our program students. Keep up the good work!

It's a great concept, but my first couple times playing with it crashed after a short time. Definitely not something to use in the air in its current state, but great as a planning tool once you get past the crashes.

I love this app...graphics are great and customer support is excellent !

You can customize your airplane to your own BEW as well as do a thorough plan with all the important information needed.

The comment regarding only allowing 53 gallons of fuel is correct, the other 3 gallons unusable should be in your BEW.

The app is well worth the money and is super user friendly and a huge time saver.

I love the graphic display of the performance tables!  A few issues in the Plan Mode: In cruise you cannot adjust the temperature correction or pressure altitude because the departure airport settings are locked in. Landing you cannot set the altimeter or OAT. They are locked at the departure settings.  Summary is missing the CG for landing, only T/O and ZFW.

I bought this and I feel it's one of the best 15$ I've ever spent. It could be cheaper but considering the small market that this app is targeted at, it's not a bad price.

The only problem I have with is the fact that it only has round elevations and I can't set anything between those and also in the performance section, it's not possible to insert numbers yourself. You have to move the scroll bar thing to set the right number and that could take a while.

I can't believe I'm the first review!   This is such an excellent planning tool!  I run all kinds of scenarios through it,  finalize my flight, check it against the POH for the actual plane I'm flying,  and away I go.    

This is a fantastic training tool at that.   All kinds of scenarios can be thought through and see the real effects to your performance.

Great app!   Can't wait for the late model 182's to be added!

Nice user interface - much useful information.  Two questions though - 1) why only 53 gallons of fuel and not 56? (I know that 3 gallons are unusable but they do factor into the total weight of the plane) - and 2) why is standard temperature set at 13 degrees Celsius? (I've always known it to be 15 degrees - and 59 Fahrenheit)
