It just opened up the website to tell me to download the app…when I already have it downloaded. -_- And when you’re inside the app itself in the “My Badges,“ you would think that if you were to click on one of the badges, you can just scan in the QR code, but no. Just poorly executed. The location could also be more accurate to help you navigate to the booth/the convention better. ### 1/5 — Activating Badge *2025-04-11* App won’t let me activate my badge ### 1/5 — Challenge Using *2025-04-11* Very challenging to find events in my opinion. ### 1/5 — Can't log in *2025-04-11* This latest update doesn't allow me to login or use the explore function. Not great before the con starts 😡 ### 1/5 — Can’t register my badge *2025-04-05* When I select “register” the app just keeps spooling. ### 1/5 — Does not work *2024-04-27* You can search for something in the app but it won’t tell you where it is. ### 1/5 — No Support to Resolve/Impossible to Navigate *2022-08-05* It may work for some users, but I have tried everything to navigate this app. I’ve downloaded and re-downloaded numerous times, and it will not provide a default schedule. You are better off taking photos of all the panel schedules by the doors because when I tried to talk to customer service via online chat, they arbitrarily cancelled the chat after I was told to provide a screenshot of the apps shortcomings in a chat that would not allow it. I will be fighting to get compensation for this horrid experience in trying to manage enjoying the rest of the con. Off to take pics. ### 1/5 — Current version not available for my iPhone *2021-12-11, version 9.0.2* The App Store indicates I could download the oldest compatible version of the app, but when I did, it only had the 2020 event info, not the 2021 event information. Not helpful. ### 1/5 — Not showing anything *2020-02-28, version 8.0.0* The only events up are at family HQ and none of the other tabs are working easier. Kind of useless to me. ### 1/5 — App *2019-03-22, version 7.0* This app is not up to date. Having difficulty checking in to the kiosk here at C2e2. I have already activated my card and when I scan it. It says it's already been scanned in several kiosk when it's in fact my first time scanning it. Someone fix it! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Horrible app for a horrible con *2026-03-29* This con is huge and they give you this unbaked baked app to navigate the very poorly implemented layout. It wouldn’t be horrible if the con staff actually knew where and when things are but they can’t even tell you where FIRST AID IS!!! The built in map feature doesn’t work and there are no physical maps anywhere to speak of. I missed the ONE PERSON I wanted to see this weekend because the listing for their meetup was buried under 50 different unrelated panels! That’s right you can search but it gives you everything that marginally pertained to any word you search. Navigating the streets of Chicago at night is easier than finding what you want at this con. I will never return. And unless you’re local I wouldn’t even waste gas to go. There are much better smaller cons out there. This one is garbage. An absolute dumpsterfire with ai and dropshippers everywhere. Disgraceful. ### 1/5 — The map is not it *2026-03-28* The map is not interactive. It keeps saying you have your update the app even when its updated ### 1/5 — It's sooo baaaad *2026-03-28, version 14.0.1* Codes won't even send, and for code send screens, who doesn't include a "resend" option ### 1/5 — no map *2026-03-27* how is there no map that’s like the one thing you need to ### 1/5 — Hard to use *2026-03-02, version 13.0.2* I’ve not been able to activate my C2 E2 badge via the app or online at C2e226.coOM/activate. Please test your apps before you tell people to use them. I can’t read half of the descriptions in my attempt to register using the app because all your letters are in white and you have the C2 E2 background which has big letters in white so that makes any descriptions disappear. When I say, I forgot my password and need a code you sent it to my email, but it doesn’t come for many many minutes later, which is too late for my attention span. actually I didn’t get a code for more than 15 minutes so that’s tells me you’re sending codes doesn’t work. You should be sending codes to a phone number. Texting me, is faster and more efficient. I have emailed management about this concern. Still have not received a response and it’s been several days. Please send this response to management so they can ensure development in testing gets it right going forward. Thank you. ### 1/5 — Badge activation *2026-03-01* Could not activate my badge because they have white lettering on a white background so I could not read what I was supposed to be putting in the boxes. ### 1/5 — Poorly designed *2026-02-26* I opened this app to enter my badge information, and the color scheme makes it impossible to do so. The design is so flawed I can’t imagine anyone quality checked this, and if so, the designer, the supervisor, and the quality assurance person should be fired immediately. ### 1/5 — Can’t read anything! *2026-02-24* Background is too busy trying to register my badge and the font color is the same as the background so you can’t read any of the questions to enter information to register the badge. ### 1/5 — Useless Map *2025-04-12* The map does absolutely nothing. It has a broken navigation system. I was on L3 and the app kept telling me I need to go to L3 and was showing me I was on L1 which was false. I tried multiple days in a row and each time it gave me the wrong route and always showed me in the wrong location. Please fix the map or offer paper maps!!!! ### 1/5 — Nope *2025-04-12* At the show; can’t connect; real nice ## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Useful *2025-04-03* This app had improved a bit every year, i use it to plan what I’m going to do when I get to C2E2 ### 3/5 — App does not function well *2025-04-12* The Explorer button just does not work and freezes the app. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling and all the recommended troubleshoot to no avail. This has been the worst version of the app. ### 3/5 — Filter the schedule? haha *2022-08-08* I don’t know who failed, the app or the event organizers but the category picker doesn’t work as expected. I tried to select the category “panels and screenings” to see just the panels and NOTHING happens. The view is still swamped with autograph sessions, ugh. Choosing the category “Autographs” would be better labeled “Book signings” so it doesn’t get confused with the “Autographs/PhotoOps” category. Everything else seemed to “work” but feels made a cheap as possible. Reedpop, if I have to live without the red carpet to save the environment, please invest the monetary savings into a better app. ### 3/5 — Need to fix crashing *2016-03-21, version 1.0.4* I have a iPhone 4s and I downloaded this app because I can't wait for the next C2E2. when I opened the app it was loading for like 10 seconds before it crashed, this happens every time I try to run the app. Can u please fix this ### 2/5 — Trash *2026-03-01* This app used to be useable. Now you can’t use it at all. It’s 3 weeks to the con and it still has 2025 content on it ### 2/5 — Outdated & Nonfunctional *2025-03-09, version 12.0.0* Seemed handy to have the app downloaded, but everything is still listed for 2024. This is where the QR code for 2025 took me, so I can only hope this will update soon. I tried activating my badge on the website AND in the app and neither worked. Whoever is in charge of keeping both the main website and the app up-to-date… needs to meet some deadlines sooner I’m afraid. We’re just over a month away from opening day, time to get on it. ### 2/5 — Not up to date *2018-02-16, version 5.0* Although the website for this event has all the information up to date, is hard to understand why the developer has a lack of interest for this app, as many information is missing from the app that has been on the websites for months! For example artist alley, on website you can download a full list of artist locations, on the app when clicking on this option, you are greeted with “nothing here yet” it would be I hope the app gets better, so you can actually use it at the event as a guide to better enjoy C2E2. ### 2/5 — Not the best version. *2016-03-21* When I first opened the app. I was able to see everything I wanted to. The problem was I couldn't add everything to a list that I could reference while at the show without eating up all my data. Even though the show supplied free wifi the slowness and crashes made this unusable. I got more help from the paper program than from the app. Whoever designs and launches next year version should consider a version that allows the user the ability to save everything they want to see. From a certain exhibitor , artist, panel , all the way to a celebratory.
