## What is C41 Photo Competition?

Connect with a diverse community of photographers from beginners learning their camera, to hobby photogs with a passion, through to seasoned professionals.

As fellow photographers, we respect the hard work that went into your photos, and don't try to steal your photos (see privacy policy below).

We welcome all photography styles including film, smartphone photography and DSLR photos, which can be edited as per your artistic view.  With a range of regularly updated free contests to enter, you can submit your photos, and vote/comment on other entrants photos as well.  In return, you'll receive valuable tips and feedback from other photographers to take your skills to the next level.

At the end of each competition, we award fantastic prizes not just to the best photos, but also to the best comments!  You're competing for real cash and photography gear like lenses, bags and other goodies to make it worth your time.

### 1/5 — Originally Awesome - Now Non-Functional

This app used to be amazing.  I was always so impressed to see the creativity that the photos submitted demonstrated.  I loved being able to write comments to support the artists, but I loved getting responses from photos that I included in the competitions myself.  They helped me to look at photos in a different way and compose better with improved final results.

I even won a tripod for having one of the best comments (true, it was a cheap tripod, but that wasn’t the point).

Then, tragedy struck…

The app has stopped working.  Competitions don’t load.  Images aren’t displayed. No longer are able to get inspired…

Oh well.  I’ll miss it.

while constructive criticism is a good idea, anonymously is not so much. it seems people are obnoxiously rude in their criticism and poorly score photos for stupid reasons because they know it will boost their own photo and karma can’t circle back anonymously. one person scored me one star on a splashing coffee photo because they “found the spilling of coffee confusing” not because it was a poorly executed shot (i’ve received positive feedback on multiple other apps) , but because they had to come up with an excuse for their score so they can’t be reported. on top of that, you can rate dozens of images and only get rated once in return before your “vote karma” runs out. 
lastly, challenges can last MONTHS not days or weeks but months of your patience only to be repaid with mostly unhelpful critiques and flat out sabotage by competing photographers. 
i will be deleting this app once the challenges i’m participating in end.

Participation is banned from several countries. Not just China but several European counties too.
Read the full rules before paying any money.

Pity. I was looking forward to being an active participant.
