Their errors are not accurate as the speed limit on the Queensway going to Ottawa is now at 110km/hr and I set my cruise control to 120 and it shouldn’t be giving me 79 speed errors in one outing! Just installed the new gadget that was sent to me as they said it was upgraded but I’m just about had enough of this useless app. ### 1/5 — Trash *2024-07-12* Doesn't work with password managers, whenever you switch apps or open a password manager it gets back to the login screen and empties all fields. 2 years since the last update, no export of events, no help, no documentation, slow as a snail moving backwards. ### 1/5 — Latest update broke password manager support *2024-05-20* Honestly, at this point I’m uninstalling the app and just keeping a shortcut to the CAA connect website on my phone. The website has more features, remembers your login session, doesn’t crash when you come back to it after logging in, and actually works with password managers. So you better have all data in front of you or memorize it, otherwise they won’t let you register. You can’t switch between cars without logging in again, but there is no log out button. Strangely on the dashboard it says I have several. Trend charts don’t actually show anything. Have to login every time I open app. Nothing posted to show potential discount savings vs current score. Account creation in the app is a nightmare. Anyone wanting to create an account right away without the policy being active AND the device shipping notification being received, the app will crash when you try and create an account. Also generates wacky web browser error if you try and do it on web site before device has shipped. ### 1/5 — Not functional *2026-05-08* Complete trash. I have been trying to create account for a week now. Every time I try the app crashes but I get an email saying that it was created successfully but my credentials don't work. When I try to recover/change the password the process fails. By far the worst app I have ever come across. ### 1/5 — This app is truly a garbage *2025-10-12* I was very hesitant to download this app because of it’s rating but i want to know what my driving score is… when i entered my information as alrready a caa member, its telling me that “I am already a member of a different caa club, pls visit your caa website” When i selected I am not already a member… the registration won’t go through, cannot be completed. Wasting my time. App deleted, not keeping any trash app on my phone. ### 1/5 — Time Waster *2025-08-01* Requires entry of my policy number multiple times tells me it’s already in but continues to ask me for it - fix this error! But to me there are two *big* omissions. First, it really should remember your login info, at least the username. I have to switch to my passwords every time, which is really annoying. Second, it has an alerts page that tells you things like there’s a problem with the battery. But the app itself doesn’t give any notifications on the phone, which is crazy. It’s all well and good to know that I have to jump start the car because the battery died 4 days ago, but why wouldn’t it give me a notification when the alert actually happened? Maybe then I could have started the car when the battery was dying instead of finding out the next time I happened to open the app, and jump starting it 4 days later! ### 3/5 — Not bad but … *2024-03-27* … why do I have to enter my CAA # and password EVERY TIME I open it? ### 3/5 — Ok but many bugs *2023-05-14, version 1.1.2* The App is OK. I manage to find what I am looking for. But like the others say, it does crash often. Also I wish there is a Stay Logged In option because I do have to login every time I use it. On the up side, it seems to be quite accurate in reporting events. And I love the way it classifies severity of the event. ### 2/5 — Time to Update *2024-01-11* Would not register and required CAA involvement - logs out unexpectedly Call centre wait time was 22 minutes and two service representatives ### 2/5 — Instability issues reduce usefulness *2023-11-18* Although this app is more convenient than going to the website to check your CAA Connect status, there are many bugs. The program closes at will. Switching between vehicles logs you out, so you have to log in again. Right now, the app launches, showing me where I was when it last crashed, and crashes again! If the app could be made more stable, it would be more useful, but I’m not sure if it’s being updated. Last update was 1 year ago! ### 2/5 — Needs updating *2021-09-14, version 1.1.1* I imagine updating the logo help recognize the app. There’s so much potential but this app falls short. No facial recognition for security. So you have to constantly type your login details. It’s buggy and crashes consistently. They should have integrated the features into the regular CAA app. One star for reporting my amazingly good driving habits. And another star for having this app exist.
