## What is CacheDeck?

Manage your Redis, Valkey and KeyDB servers from your iPhone, without putting production at risk.

CacheDeck is built for developers, DevOps and SRE on call. Connect over TLS, through an SSH tunnel or bastion, and against Cluster or Sentinel. Inspect keys, run commands and fix problems in seconds, while production credentials never touch someone else's server.

WHY CACHEDECK
• Trust-first. Your credentials stay on your device and never leave it. There is no backend, no proxy, no traffic relay. Your connection goes straight from your phone to your server.
• Safety on each command. CacheDeck reads the command name and arguments before it sends anything. Destructive operations (FLUSHALL, FLUSHDB, CONFIG SET, mass DEL and more) need a type-to-confirm step that shows the exact target. Costly operations carry a warning. Set a connection to read-only and unlock writes when you mean to.

• Local-first. Your hosts, passwords and ACL users stay on your device, in the iOS Keychain.
• No secrets in logs. CacheDeck keeps passwords, hostnames, key names and values out of its logs.
• Crash & error reporting is on by default and can be turned off in Settings. Reports are scrubbed and never include key names, values, hostnames or credentials.
• No tracking, no IDFA and no advertising identifiers.

### 1.3.9 — 2026-08-14

• The SSH host-key prompt now shows the fingerprint from the live handshake, saves your decision, and retries the connection.
• SSH authentication fails with the specific reason instead of a 15-second hang that ends in a request timeout.
• The connection form validates the pasted private key before connecting (complete unencrypted ED25519 OpenSSH key, BEGIN and END lines included). Multi-line pastes no longer break.

• CacheDeck now checks iOS Local Network access before connecting to a server on your local network (a Redis, Valkey or KeyDB box on the same Wi-Fi). If iOS blocks it, the app shows a shortcut to Settings and resumes the connection when you return after granting it.
• IPv6 host addresses now connect correctly, and the Local Network recovery hint appears in the key browser.

• PHP-serialized values (Laravel cache, session, Horizon jobs) now expand into a tree view with a Pretty/Tree toggle on String keys.
• Malformed or oversized Redis replies now show a specific protocol error instead of a generic connection message.
