### 4/5 — Good - but needs GPX improvement

*2026-09-06, version 2.8.4*

Really good bike computer alternative. My only feedback would be to have a desktop app so that the creation of turn by turn navigation is easier as it’s a pain to do accurately at the moment on the app, or auto add navigation turns in the GPX meta data, this is common in other bike computers. When this happens I will give 5 stars.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-08-29, version 2.8.4*

Easy to use

### 5/5 — Just what I needed

*2026-08-27, version 2.8.4*

Using outdoors-
Apple Watch and Favero power pedals works great- super customizable.

Only wish is that i wish it would pickup my indoor Speed from my life fitness ICG ic7 trainer. It grabs data from the power meter but not the computed “no wind/grade speed”

### 4/5 — Excellent

*2026-08-27, version 2.8.4*

Great that it supports radars. Battery life is excellent. Really loving this app, highly recommended. Couple of suggestions: would be great if you had the option to set the map in free mode in settings so it doesn’t reset every time you switch screens. Also it be very helpful for MTB if there were a distance scale on the map.
Thanks for the response. I understand now why the battery life so exceptionally good 👍🏼

### 5/5 — Best cycling app ever

*2026-08-25, version 2.8.4*

Best cycling computer for 37£ a year 😆😆😆 I sold my garmin and I have forgot about it forever.

### 3/5 — Not the best with no cost function

*2026-08-23, version 2.8.4*

It does the job usually if I push the right buttons and it works on iPhone 7

### 5/5 — Still the best app I have used

*2026-08-23, version 2.8.4*

Especially helpful for indoor bike rides connected to our bike.

### 5/5 — Great app that provides all the requisite data and information.

*2026-08-22, version 2.8.4*

The app seamlessly pairs with cadence, speed, power and radar devices. The data is informative and varied. A great app.

### 5/5 — Bye bye bike computer

*2026-08-22, version 2.8.4*

Finally an app that does it all if you have an iPhone and Apple Watch. Integrates everything and easy to set up.

### 4/5 — Almost 5 Stars

*2026-08-20, version 2.8.4*

Love the app been using it for several years but recently switched to another bike computer app that includes the ability to control Music (prev/play/pause/next buttons) directly on the screen active cycling screens. Using my Apple Watch or switching to the Apple Music app while riding to control music is not optimal or safe IMHO. I’ve been asking for this feature for a while now in Cadence and once got a response a few years ago that it was “in development” but still haven’t seen it. Happy to come back if this feature is ever added. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Good

*2026-08-20, version 2.8.4*

Just like a bike computer just on your phone. I use this and Strava

### 5/5 — Excellent!

*2026-08-17, version 2.8.4*

I don’t understand why anyone would use a bike computer when this is available!

### 5/5 — Outstanding app

*2026-08-16, version 2.8.4*

I’ve used a number of cycling apps to track my writing. Cadence is by far the best. Super easy to use. And tracks a bunch of information.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2026-08-16, version 2.8.4*

I came across the app while on YouTube, but the only concerns I had was would it work with my Apple Watch or with my Garman forerunner 70 and I can confirm it works with both, notifications and heart rate (Garmin you do have to broadcast our heart rate)

### 5/5 — Changes cycling.

*2026-08-10, version 2.8.4*

As someone who’s new to cycling and didn’t even want a bike in the first place but my dad bought me one anyway this app is a game changer. It really motivates you with giving you accurate readings and maps showing how far you’ve been. The app can be use without data and hardly uses any battery life. 2% at most.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-08-09, version 2.8.4*

Love the app. Very detailed and the best part is how you can make the interface as simple or as detailed as you like. The three step subscription if fairly priced for the features in each version.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-08-08, version 2.8.4*

Does everything the more expensive bike computers do plus has your cell phone and music. Also love that you can use different brand sensors all into one device.

### 5/5 — Everything I need in a bike computer

*2026-08-02, version 2.8.3*

If you have an iPhone and like to ride this is the app to use. I use to use another app to track my rides but I purchased a bike radar which wasn’t supported. This app does.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Why can’t I listen to ITunes?

*2026-08-15, version 2.8.4*

If this is my error, I’ll change my review. I just spent $40 for an app I won’t use Brel cause it won’t let play music while exercising. Ridiculous.

### 1/5 — Beware: elite Trial Scam

*2026-03-28, version 2.7.11*

I have been using the free version for a while. I upgraded a few months back to the monthly paid 1st level a couple months ago. It has always bugged me to upgrade to the “elite” for $40 a year. It recently offered me a trial for 7 days, so so I decided to give it a try to see if it was something I would enjoy.

Well, somehow, during signing up through the iOS app, it went ahead and charged me for the new subscription with no trial.

This is a clear cut case of bait and switch and seems to be something that developers are doing lately. Nowhere did it say that my subscription had to be a new subscription. As far as I knew at the time, I was getting an upgrade for a trial not a new subscription and I had the option to cancel within seven days. I have reported this to Apple and want to warn people about this scam.

### 1/5 — Battery Hog

*2025-12-27, version 2.7.1*

Used 85% of battery on two hour ride. Very buggy, loses settings randomly, loses sensors 2-3 times a week, including Apple Watch. Auto pause feature can’t be manually overridden. Watch app won’t stop running after end of ride.

### 1/5 — Battery Hog

*2025-11-20, version 2.6.2*

Used 85% of battery on two hour ride. Very buggy, loses settings randomly, loses sensors 2-3 times a week, including Apple Watch. Auto pause feature can’t be manually overridden. Watch app won’t stop running after end of ride.

### 1/5 — Letdown.

*2025-11-08, version 2.6.2*

Longest and most intense ride I’ve ever done. And the app skipped recording a 10 mile section in the middle of my ride. No signs that it wasn’t recording while I was riding. Extremely frustrated.

### 1/5 — Importation d’activité

*2025-06-06*

### 1/5 — Turn By Turn Navigation Beyond Poor

*2025-05-05, version 2.5.12*

Could be very good but the Navigation simply does not work. If I export a route created in Komoot the data (route and distance) is aligned perfectly, however if you try and navigation either by manually adding waypoints or using the auto match function it keeps creating random changes of route for no specific reason. It’s a total waste of time and completely ruins what could be very good app

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2025-04-18, version 2.5.12*

Rubbish app! Useless, spend money and doesn’t even work. Other free apps are better than this one. Really frustrating!!!

### 1/5 — Douglas

*2025-02-07, version 2.5.0*

Cadence taking away options to get people to submit to pro and elite and pay for it. Now I’m using a different bike app.

### 1/5 — Tracking for ads

*2024-11-27, version 2.4.8*

They track you across all activities and apps for ads and there is no option to opt out. Deleted it as soon as I saw that. Vendors are free to ignore do not track and most of them do.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love the Data!

*2026-09-10, version 2.8.4*

I didn’t want to buy the expensive Garmin Computers and this app has been amazing.
I love all the Data that cadence offers! It’s perfect for what I need. You’re able to see much more than what Garmin computers offer on one screen. Love it!

### 5/5 — Reliable and accurate

*2026-09-08, version 2.8.4*

Been using it for about a year now. Love every aspect of it. GUI is very easy and intuitive. Color schemes is great. Saves every detail of the rides. Is a great tool for tracking progress and to analyze every ride in detail. A must have for all types of riders.

### 5/5 — Awesome Cycling App!

*2026-09-08, version 2.8.4*

I have used my Cadence App now for 4 months and 1500km, and it’s now going to replace my Garmin Edge cycling computer. Very convenient to have on the bike and it pairs nicely to my power meter and heart rate monitor, as well as my speed sensor. The yearly subscription is very much VALUE.

### 5/5 — Great workout companion

*2026-09-08, version 2.8.4*

Cadence provides excellent objective results and stats that are helpful to validate progress (or lack of) towards my goals. It’s one of the first apps I launch before a 21 mile hike or 40 mile bike ride.

### 5/5 — Great cycling computer app

*2026-09-07, version 2.8.4*

Awesome

### 5/5 — Great app best I’ve used

*2026-09-01, version 2.8.4*

Don’t need to struggle seeing a small computer nice clear screen using my phone. Also he has all the information I need to view afterwards and the mapping is very accurate. If I get a call or message I don’t need to stop and get my phone out to see the details is all there.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2026-08-31, version 2.8.4*

This app does everything that I need and more. I am 74 and the information allows me to ride hard with the limits of safety for my age and condition

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2026-08-31, version 2.8.4*

I thoroughly enjoy using the Cadence app. It provides me with useful information about my cycling and how to improve.

### 5/5 — All the data, easily customised

*2026-08-30, version 2.8.4*

I’m an enthusiastic cyclist in the hills and valleys around where I live and Cadence monitors the data I want to see. It is so easily customisable that anyone can modify it for what they want recorded or displayed. I upgraded from free to subscription very quickly after checking it out. Still happy after 2 months of using it multiple times weekly.

### 5/5 — Best iPhone Base Bike Computer

*2026-08-29, version 2.8.4*

If you’re looking to use your iPhone as a bike computer, this is the app. Best part is planning & creating routes in the app.
