### 4/5 — great navidrome ios app

*2026-03-26*

app feels and looks great, no unnecessary sync and no useless features. just direct play and some good organization. i am giving one less star because while i understand this is a personal project made public, leaving out playlist support hurts my soul

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2026-03-14*

I wish all apps were like this. To the point, no nonsense no clutter, very clean and does exactly what I want. Thank you.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.2.3 — 2026-07-31

FEATURE: Recently Added is now grouped by when albums arrived.
FEATURE: Recently Added, Recently Played and Frequently Played each open with a row of the artists featured in them.
FEATURE: Search now opens on your recent searches and a grid of genres to browse, and typing a genre name brings that genre up in the results.
FEATURE: Sort your albums and artists.
FEATURE: Reorder the queue by dragging.
FEATURE: Artist bios, if available, are displayed on artist pages.
IMPROVED: Album and artist details are laid out consistently.
IMPROVED: Cadence is faster to launch and lighter on your library, with less repeated work while browsing.
FIXED: Your favorites could be wiped. If the server returned an error, Cadence read it as an empty favorites list and saved it over the real one.
FIXED: Large libraries could be incomplete. A single failed page while loading your albums ended the process early, and the incomplete library was saved as though it were the whole thing.
FIXED: One unreadable album, artist or song no longer empties the entire list it arrived in.
FIXED: Downloaded music could stop being available offline. Cadence kept its list of downloaded files somewhere the system was free to empty, so the music stayed on your device but became unreachable.
FIXED: Resuming where you left off now reports to your server immediately, instead of waiting for the next track.
FIXED: Playback no longer starts on its own after recovering from an error if you had paused.
FIXED: Your library is no longer downloaded again every time you open the app.
FIXED: In CarPlay, the queue keeps up as tracks change, tapping a track after shuffling plays the one you tapped, signing out on your phone takes effect in the car, and screens say what's actually going on instead of "Loading…" indefinitely.
FIXED: A failed download is no longer saved as though it were music.

### 3.1.5 — 2026-07-09

FEATURE: Now-playing status and playback progress are now reported to your server in real time on servers that support the OpenSubsonic playback-report extension — pause, resume, and seek are reflected accurately instead of estimated from the start of the track.
FIXED: A track could occasionally be skipped as one song ended and the next began.
FIXED: Scrubbing near the end of a song no longer jumps to the next track.
FIXED: A stalled stream could hang on the loading spinner indefinitely; playback now recovers on its own.
FIXED: Switching between Wi-Fi and cellular mid-song no longer occasionally plays the wrong track or gets stuck loading.
FIXED: Removing the currently playing song from the queue now advances to the next track instead of continuing to play the removed one.
FIXED: Playback recovery could stop working after certain phone calls or audio interruptions until the app was restarted.
FIXED: Relaunching while offline no longer discards your saved queue when you have downloaded music.
FIXED: Searches containing symbols such as "&" or "+" (like "rock & roll") now return the correct results.
FIXED: Downloaded music now respects your storage limit instead of growing without bound.
FIXED: A crash or force-quit during a download no longer causes already-downloaded songs to be re-downloaded.
FIXED: A failed refresh no longer clears an artist’s already-loaded albums.
IMPROVED: Eliminated a periodic stutter that could occur during playback.
IMPROVED: Opening Settings no longer briefly freezes while cache size is calculated.
IMPROVED: Connecting to a slow or unreachable server now times out promptly instead of hanging.
IMPROVED: Browse screens now clearly say when you’re offline instead of showing an empty "nothing found" result.
IMPROVED: Cleaner network status — removed a redundant offline indicator and the Low Data Mode badge from the now-playing bar.
IMPROVED: General stability improvements to caching under heavy use.

### 3.1.4 — 2026-05-18

IMPROVED: a number of small issues have been fixed and cleaned up

### 3.1.3 — 2026-04-20

FIXED: corrects a few minor UI issues

### 3.1.2 — 2026-03-27
