Like all mad head games, the story line is great and the process is creative. Totally a great game, but why no free trial? It is good enough that it would excite me to buy it. The only reason not to have the free trials is if you are not confident the game is good enough to sell itself. Please bring back the free trials, BF is being unfair to its fans! A murder mystery set in moody, musical NOLA with all the trimmings is the next best thing to being there. Feeling as though I was part of the story, I was swept along in the dreamy adventure while solving riddles, clues and even doing some CSI work with Margaret the Morgue Lady. 👀 Yes, the map was awkwardly located and the tickets can be a distraction but these are minor complaints stacked against overwhelming raves for all other terrific aspects here. The characters are interesting & have decent dialogue/interactions, the graphics are great, & the music is good, serving as a nice background. The difficulty is customizable to fit everyone's preference & the hidden object scenes/mini games, although not very hard, are fun. There are only two things I fell could have been better. Accessing the map is inconvenient because you have to search in the menu to find it but since the scenes are set up so well, I didn't need the map much anyway. The other thing are the HOS where you have to search for & uncover pairs to match. It really comes down to preference here, but I dislike those. There are two of the same game in the store and this one actually did work on my iPad after paying the new charge. So I had to pay the same $2.99 for a new download of a different game. REFUND ME! Get the other game out of the store! ### 1/5 — Painful to play *2015-10-27, version 1.0.0* Have played this game about 30 minutes and am going to just delete it. The map has to be pulled up from a menu and the hint takes too long to charge. Tried to customize the settings and it keeps going back to the default. The reviews for both paid and trial are very good but all I experienced was a game that I was glad to finish. The good was that this game doesn't have the usual protagonist and the jazz was great. But IMO, some of the HOPs were tedious as well as some of the puzzles. Map is useless. The story line is implausible to me. Unrealistic actions of some of the law enforcement in both the main and after games. I expect this in supernatural games but this was a police procedural that just didn't ring true, even by stretching the imagination. Plus because the game is older, I had a LOT of trouble entering my name as the player. I had great expectations, and I felt that for the most part it lived up to them. Especially at the sales price. The good: great graphics and background music, beautiful cut scenes, a nice change of pace from medieval castles or fairy worlds. Varied HOPs were nice, a great storyline that holds together, and good character interaction. I liked that there was a story worth telling, bur understand that some reviewers didn't. the so-so: slightly-too-easy mini games and sometimes i felt as if searching for golden tickets and morphing objects in bery scene and game took me out of the story. the bad: the map is hard to find (in the menu) and once you do, it isn't very helpful. And the hint button wasn't super helpful either. Still, definitely worth the sales price and recommend it as a buy!
