A crash that could close the app while editing a photo, or when a screen’s background work failed, is fixed — and a screen that hits a problem now shows an error instead of sitting on a loading spinner forever. Diagnostic error reports no longer include account details. Sign-in moves to updated libraries, and backing out of the Google or Apple sign-in sheet no longer shows a sign-in error. ### 26.8.30 — 2026-08-31 Check-in sharing now has three settings instead of two: Everyone, Friends, or Only me. A Friends check-in is visible to the people you follow and nobody else — you can pick it per check-in or set it as your default in Settings. It works for home coffee logs too, and friends-only check-ins still earn cheers, comments and Bean tiers. You can also now record what a drink cost; the price is never shown to anyone else in the app. Macadamia joins the alternative milk options. ### 26.8.9 — 2026-08-10 Fixes for your profile name. New accounts now take their display name from the account you signed in with, rather than falling back to the first part of your email address. Signing in no longer overwrites a name or username that hadn’t finished syncing to the cloud. And if deleting your account requires signing in again, you now get the sign-in prompt instead of an error that could never be cleared. ### 26.8.6 — 2026-08-06 Fixes two account problems. Deleting your account could fail after your data had already been removed, leaving an empty account behind and no way back — the account is now closed first, so a failed deletion leaves everything intact and you can retry. And if a new account’s profile never reached the cloud, it stayed invisible in search, could not be followed, and its check-ins showed no name or photo. Signing in now repairs those profiles automatically. ### 26.7.29 — 2026-07-30 Fixes a problem where checking in with a cafe’s “Check in Here” button could leave the check-in stuck on your device — it never reached the cloud, and neither retrying nor editing it could fix it.
