Calabi is a music toy you can see. Every room is a shape from the hidden dimensions of mathematics – Calabi–Yau manifolds from string theory, a Klein bottle, a four-dimensional cube, an endless fractal – and every shape moves to its own house track, made live on your phone. The maths of the music is the maths of the picture. The notes of a chord vibrate in simple ratios, and the rooms are built from them: a fifth becomes a three-armed fractal, a triangle tunnel, a knot. Change the chord and the shape changes with it. PLAY IT • Drag up and down to ride the filter – the sweep every dance record rides • Draw across the screen to play a lead; tap for a chord • A full mixer: mute, solo, levels, echo and reverb on every part • Swap drum kits, patterns and sounds, change the key and the tempo • Save your own tracks and play them in any room LET IT PLAY ITSELF • DJ mode arranges the track for you – builds, breakdowns, snare rolls and drops • VJ mode plays the picture, changing the room on every phrase • Turn both on and the room runs itself 22 ROOMS, 22 TRACKS Glass Calabi–Yaus folding through a fourth dimension. A tesseract that unfolds on the fill. A Julia fractal you dive into for ever. A labyrinth you fly through. Chaos drawn by a hundred thousand points of light. Each with its own track, from deep and soulful to peak-time. RECORD AND SHARE Tap Record for a three-second count-in, and the clip starts on the beat. Recordings go straight to your photo library. BIG SCREEN Plug an iPad or iPhone into a TV or projector and the room fills the screen at the screen's own resolution, while your controls stay in your hand. NO ACCOUNT, NO TRACKING Everything is made on your device. Calabi collects no data, shows no ads, and never talks to a server. Health and safety: the rooms flash and move quickly. If you are sensitive to flashing light or patterns, please take care. ## Is Calabi safe? Not enough ratings yet to assess Calabi. ## Is Calabi legit? Calabi has limited verification signals.
