My alarm times aren’t uniform week to week. Thanks to this app I no longer have to work out and set an alarm every evening. However I haven’t yet worked out a way to set an alarm to wake me up for my first lecture in the evening that won’t go off every day at the set time. It would be great if there was an alarm that recognised the first event of the day and went off even if it was past midday. ### 2/5 — Unimpressed *2018-01-27, version 10.2.2* I wanted an alarm application that would allow me to set auto re accruing alarms as well as alarms on future dates. Not reminders but alarms. I can already set reminders. Unfortunately on iPhone you can not use the constant sound option which makes it similar to an alarm. So really it’s just a reminder. Also the sound will not work if you have your ringer off. Even if your volume is up. These 2 things make it worthless to me. Glad it was only $2. ### 3/5 — Great app except I never hear the alarms *2017-03-04, version 9.4.1* This app has all the features I needed. Lots of great options for setting the alarms. Unfortunately it requires you to have Do Not Disturb turned off and your ringer turned on which never happens to me. I live overseas and DND saves me from a lot of badly timed calls from my friends overseas in the middle of the night, as well as package delivery companies too early in the morning. My wife demands I turn off my ringer before plugging in the phone so I don't wake her up. This app would be 5* if it would set the iPhone native alarms which don't have these problems. Unfortunately for as good as all the options are, it's just not usable for me. ### 2/5 — Works as advertised *2014-12-10, version 6.3* This app does exactly what the description says it does, and has potential to be exactly what I wanted, but it’s missing some key features that would have made it useful. I use an old iPhone as my nightstand alarm clock (it stays by the bed all day long. I don’t carry it with me), and I’m looking for a way to wake up based on various events on my calendar. That’s what this app is supposed to do—except it wants to fire off a reminder before *every* event in your calendar, not just the earliest one each day. you have to disable specific events as opposed to enabling only certain events that would be relevant to waking up in the morning. Because it’s designed to run in the background, the alert noises it can use are limited—and generally loud and obnoxious. if it had a foreground mode, you could use music of your choice. In general this app has a pretty tortured workflow. I assume it’s a UI bug, but you can only view events from today, so you can’t disable events you’re not interested in for days in the future without making a general rule to ignore “all events named ____” for instance. All that said, I could overlook the rather convoluted workflows and steep learning curve if it had an option to only alarm once a day with a gentle ringtone. ### 4/5 — Alarm *2014-10-22, version 6.2.2* Good alarm once you overcome the insertions ### 5/5 — Alarm according to appointments *2012-12-27, version 3.3.1* Sets your morning alarm so you wake up on time for your first appointment. You've saved my bacon. *2017-05-25, version 9.6* Finally someone feels my pain! Typical calendar reminders are nice for subtle hints, but I'm the type that needs a sometimes not-so-subtle hint. (It's almost as if my wife created this app just for me.) Seriously, it's not those appointments that are every week that are the important ones, it's often those out of the blue appointments that randomly show up on the calendar that are the 'must attend or suffer the consequences' ones that this (nifty little gem of an app) is built for! Love-love-love app devs who 'get it'! And it connects with my calendars, you're so kind my developer friend. ### 5/5 — What I was looking for *2016-11-09, version 9.1.3* I needed an alarm, or a stone to hit me, so I would notice there is an event coming... good thing this app can stick with the notification until I notice and doesn't fades away like the calendar reminder. Room for improvement: add a feature to select which calendars to sync to. I'm subscribed to about 12 and have to turn off a bunch of events that are FYI only. I work in retail and have a different work schedule almost every day. I punch my work schedule for the month into Google Calendar and this app reads my events. With that info I can set up RULES based on event titles (in my google calendar) to have it ALARM a set time before each event. So when Calarm sees I have to work I have it set to alarm 1hr 30min before I have to work. And the alarm is not just some quick little sound bite, but an actual alarm with snooze capability! I no longer have to change my alarm clock each night to adjust for my different work shifts. It does it automatically for me!!!
