## What is Calc Tools?

A practical construction calculator for carpenters, builders and contractors. Work out concrete quantities, stair dimensions and baluster spacing from the measurements you already have.

Whether you're framing a wall, planning a deck or estimating a concrete pour, Calc Tools brings 16 everyday calculators together on your iPhone and iPad. Choose a tool, enter your dimensions and get a clear result with a diagram to guide your measurements.

PLAN YOUR NEXT JOB
• Concrete: estimate slab volume or concrete for round posts, holes and circular pads, including a waste allowance.
• Stairs: find riser and tread counts, riser height, total run, pitch and an overall stringer-span estimate.
• Balusters: work out a count and equal clear gaps from your span, baluster width and maximum gap.
• Decking: estimate board count and total purchase length with an allowance for waste.
• Gravel, soil and asphalt: estimate volume for paths, beds and other projects. Use your chosen density to calculate gravel or asphalt weight.

CHECK DIMENSIONS AND LAYOUTS
• Check Square: find the diagonal, area and perimeter for a rectangular layout.
• Right Triangle: solve missing sides and angles from the measurements you know.
• Pitch: calculate slope and angle from rise and run.
