## What is Calciq?

Type in plain English - Ask for a tip, a mortgage payment, a unit conversion, or a derivative, and get an answer you can check.
Notebook - Your calculations live on a page you can name, revisit, and reuse. Open the budget you were working on last week and keep going.
Named values - Write rent = 2400, then use rent in any line that follows. Change the definition and every line that depended on it updates, with the old value struck through so you can see exactly what moved.
Real math - Solve equations. Take derivatives. Keep exact fractions and radicals instead of rounded decimals. Work with matrices and systems, including determinants, inverses, and solving Ax = b. Graph what you solve.
Explanation - Every result expands into a receipt with the steps that produced it. Nothing is a black box.
Everything else you expect - Percentages, tips, splits, loans and mortgages, unit and currency conversion, dates and time zones, trigonometry, statistics, hex and binary, and a full scientific function set.
