iCloud Sync:
Edits from your other devices appear automatically when you return to the app. You no longer need to force-close and reopen to pick up changes.

Bug Fixes:

• Fixed the Results panel showing the wrong Subtotal in tapes with both regular lines and a tax block.

CalcLedger 1.3 significantly expands the Coax Cable Loss calculator. What's new:

• SWR mismatch loss: enter the SWR at your antenna and see the additional loss and total loss it adds, with delivered power adjusted accordingly.

• 48 cable types, up from 13, organized by manufacturer: a full Generic RG lineup plus ABR Industries, DX Engineering, Messi & Paoloni, and Times Microwave, including thin coax like RG-174 and RG-316 for portable and POTA work.

• Every cable's loss data verified against manufacturer datasheets, with several values corrected for accuracy at VHF and UHF.

• Refined cable picker with sections so you can find your exact cable by name.

Version 1.2.1 brings a new Calculator Search feature and a focused round of bug fixes.

CALCULATOR SEARCH
A search field in the Calculators sidebar filters all 87 tools as you type. Search by 
name, category, or keyword — type "maidenhead" to jump straight to Grid Square, or 
"morse" to reach the Morse Code converter. Tap any result to open it immediately.

ANTENNA VELOCITY FACTOR PRESETS
Antenna calculators now offer a wire-type preset picker instead of a plain text field. 
Choose Bare Wire, Lightly Insulated, Standard PVC, or Custom. The selected velocity 
factor applies automatically with a brief description of each option. Applies to 
Half-Wave Dipole, Full-Wave Loop, Quarter-Wave Vertical, Ground Plane Vertical, EFHW, 
and J-Pole/Slim Jim.

BUG FIXES
- Tax line grand totals now include tax on screen, matching the printed total
- Quantity line labels containing commas now parse correctly (e.g., "Item A, 10units 5 @ $2")
- Square root and logarithm of invalid values now show a clear error instead of NaN
- Location lookups in Grid Square and Sunrise/Sunset now use Apple's current MapKit geocoding
- BMI Calculator: a height of zero no longer causes a division-by-zero error
- Small Transmitting Loop: conductors thicker than the loop diameter no longer cause a 
  calculation error
- Pi Network: the Q-too-low warning no longer appears when the frequency field is empty
- Compare Two CDs: the APY divergence note no longer appears when no structural cause exists

CalcLedger keeps getting better.

This update brings two new financial calculators, smarter iCloud sync, and a refreshed Apple-style keypad, plus refinements across the calculators you already rely on.

What's new:

- Yield at Maturity: computes the maturity value, total interest, APY, and effective yield for a single CD. Supports daily, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual compounding. Term can be entered in months or years. A donut chart shows how much of the maturity value is your deposit versus your earned interest.
- Compare Two CDs: evaluates two CD options side by side and identifies which produces the larger maturity value. Each CD has its own principal, rate, term, and compounding frequency.
- CalcLedger now includes 87 specialized calculators across six categories: Financial, Amateur Radio (Antennas, RF & Transmission Line, Station & Operating), Unit Converters, Geometry, Date and Time, and Health.
- iCloud sync now resolves conflicts at the line level when two devices edit the same tape while one is offline. Each disputed line appears as a card showing the original text, your edit, and the iCloud edit; pick the version you want for each line, then tap Apply All. Changes to lines that neither device touched are always preserved automatically.
- The standard keypad has a new Apple-style layout with five rows of rounded pill-shaped buttons. Digit, operator, and utility keys (AC and backspace) are each color-coded for quick visual scanning.
- On Mac, Scratchpad is now a dedicated entry in the sidebar so you can open it with a single click, without going to the Tools menu or remembering the keyboard shortcut.
- Decimal Places set to Auto now preserves the natural precision of calculations. For currency work, use the 2 setting.
- The keypad's multiplication and division buttons now insert the proper symbols into the tape, so expressions read 12 × 4 and 100 ÷ 3 rather than 12 * 4 and 100 / 3.
- Tax lines on the tape (Subtotal, Tax amount, Total with Tax) now display with a currency symbol and two decimal places, matching the currency formatting of the rest of the tape.
- The Total with Tax shown in the tape footer now matches the sum of the individual block totals. Tax amounts are rounded to the nearest cent at the time of calculation, consistent with real-world sales tax practice.
- Citation precision improvements for amateur radio band privileges and emission rules: the regulatory mechanism is now stated accurately, not just the result.
- Corrected 60-meter channel numbering in the user manual: channels are historically numbered 1, 2, 4, and 5 (not 1-4); Channel 3 at 5358.5 kHz was removed by FCC-25-60.
- Updated UTC pre-registration guidance for 2200-meter and 630-meter operations with the direct registration URL.
- Added geographic-restriction note for the 70-centimeter band: 50 W PEP limit applies in certain areas near military facilities per §97.313(f).
- Calculator input labels are cleaner: unit suffixes such as %, $, ft, and MHz now appear as inline badges inside the input field rather than as parenthetical text in the label.
- Sunrise/Sunset: redesigned manual coordinate entry with N/S and E/W hemisphere selectors, replacing the signed-number convention. Coordinates now display with hemisphere suffix (N, S, E, W) in both manual and automatic location modes.
- Sunrise/Sunset: iOS coordinate entry now uses a decimal-only keyboard with a Done button, and inline validation explains invalid or out-of-range input instead of silently using the device location.
- Sunrise/Sunset: info button in the Location section explains the N/S/E/W convention.
- Sunrise/Sunset: location preview below coordinate entry shows the city, region, or ocean for your typed or decoded coordinates, helping you confirm visually that you entered what you intended. The same preview appears for the device's automatic location.
- Grid Square: Location panel now shows City alongside State, County, and Country for the resolved location.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-05-09

Mortgage Payoff Calculator: corrected verdict logic. The previous verdict could overstate the case for investing; the new rate-led verdict compares like-for-like financial outcomes.

New "About this comparison" methodology sections in the Mortgage Payoff and Lease vs. Buy calculators explain how the verdict is determined and what the math doesn't capture.

Lease vs. Buy threshold now scales with vehicle price (1.5% of effective monthly cost, replacing a fixed $5 threshold), with a more measured verdict tone.

Retirement Withdrawal Calculator: caption corrected for the no-inflation case, simulation aligned with the sustainable-max formula.

BMI Healthy range now cites CDC as the source of category thresholds.
