### 4/5 — Apple Watch calendar became too small after update

I love this app because it is the only way to view a full month calendar at a glance on my Apple Watch.

However, after the recent update, the CalCs calendar complication became much smaller than before and is now difficult to read. I use the Modular watch face, and the complication size used to be perfect.

Could you please check if the complication layout or scaling was changed? I hope the previous calendar size can be restored. Thank you.

Are you using the "Month" complication?
Regarding the "Month" complication, I apologize, but it is by design that the font size may become smaller in some cases.

The reason is that the number of weeks in a month varies from 4 to 6 weeks. If a month with 6 weeks were displayed with the same font size as a month with 5 weeks or fewer, there would not be enough space in the display area.
Therefore, for months with 6 weeks, the font size has to be reduced.

Because of this behavior, I assume that the change probably did not occur due to an update, but rather when the calendar changed from July, which had 5 weeks, to August, which had 6 weeks.

Could you please try placing the "Month (Next Month)" complication and check how the size appears?
Since September has 5 weeks, I expect it will probably be displayed with a larger font size.

If the font size is also small with "Month (Next Month)", or if my assumption is incorrect (for example, if you are not using the "Month" complication etc.), I would appreciate it if you could add a comment to your review or contact me using the email address or X (formerly Twitter) account below.

Additionally, if you would like the calendar to always be displayed with the same font size, there are two possible methods:

* Use the Modular Duo watch face and place "Month (1st Half)" at the top and "Month (2nd Half)" at the bottom.
  (The Modular Duo watch face is not available on the SE series or models before Series 6.)

* Use the "5 Week (Last Week-3 Weeks Later)" or "5 Week (This Week-4 Weeks Later)" complications on the Modular watch face.
  (These complications do not display the entire month. Instead, they display a variable 5-week calendar.)

This is a great idea in theory, however the watch face does not update when a new reminder or calendar event has been added.

I would like to clarify a technical constraint: due to battery saving measures, the Apple Watch OS significantly limits background processing for apps.
Because of this, even when you edit event information on your iPhone, CalCs often cannot detect those changes until the app is brought to the foreground.

Therefore, if the complication does not update after adding or editing information on your iPhone, you will need to manually launch the CalCs app.

If you would not have purchased the app knowing that complications do not always update automatically, you can request a refund for the purchase price of CalCs via the following URL.

このアプリ自体は本当にいいアプリなんですが最近かなりつらいバグが多いです。「進行中の次の3件または4件のイベントの予定（終日含む）」が表示されなかったり更新されなかったりしてます。1週間前にアップデートが入ったということで、再インストールもしましたが、まだずっとその現象が起こり続けています！
スクリーンショットなどもとってありますので必要あれば送らせていただきます。
カレンダーやリマインダーの表示が見やすく、自分にとっては必須の良いアプリなのでぜひ改善してほしいです！もはやないと生きていけません！

カレンダーとしての使い勝手は抜群に良いですが、気になった点が2つあります。

①選択の項目が多すぎる。
スマートスタックやモジュラーデュオで表示したいコンプリケーションを沢山選べるのは良い事ですが、数が多すぎます。

もう少し絞った方が選択しやすいです。

②一部のアプリの挙動がおかしくなる

これはもしかしたらcalcsと直接関係ないかもしれないですが、私はこのアプリを入れた後から、ショートカットのオートメーションで設定していた起床時の「手首を上げてスリープ解除」が上手く機能しなくなりました。

もしかしたら、私がiPhone側でアプリのインストールをしたからかもしれません。

しかし、オートメーション設定をしなくても良いなと思うくらいに良いアプリなので、オススメです。

ですが、お使いいただいているユーザー様のご要望にお応えしていった結果現状のコンプリケーションの数になっており、
どのコンプリケーションもお使いいただいている方がいらっしゃる可能性がある以上、簡単に絞ることができない、というのが現状になってしまっております。

コンプリケーションの選択画面でもう少しわかりやすく選択できるようにしたいとも思っているのですが、
現状のwatchOSだとできることがあまりなく…対処できておりません。

非常に心苦しいですが、現時点では今の状態でご容赦ください。

次に②に関して、お知らせいただいてから私の方でもオートメーションに設定して試してみているのですが、
現時点では問題を再現できておりません。

恐れ入りますが、Apple Watchの再起動や、CalCsをアンインストールしても問題が発生するかご確認いただけないでしょうか？

大変便利です。予定の忘れ防止に使ってます。
数日前からカレンダーとスケジュールの部分が消えてしまいました。消えていますが、タップすると詳細は出ます。
アプリ再インストールしようと思い削除したら、購入済みの表示でますが、再インストール出来ません。
解決方法を教えてください。

Finally a complication that allows me to display the entire month of my calendar on the modular face of my Apple Watch.
*Edit:
I have had this app for almost a year now and until a couple of days ago it worked fine. Yesterday, I had to remove the CalCs access to my calendar and grant it again for the app to show on my Apple Watch, because it was just a bunch of grey lines. Today, the date show the day before and I still haven't found a way to refresh the app since I tried opening it and changing it, but nothing worked. I am very disappointed. Please fix it, because I love this app!
**Edit 2: I found a way to refresh the app, I must go in my Settings and change the app access to my Calendars. But I have to do this EVERYDAY! Otherwise the date won't be updated. It is really annoying, even more so because until a few days ago, the app was working just fine. I suspect the last app update messed things up.
***Edit 3: The developer contacted me and we tried multiple things to make it work again and it does now thanks to Usui! Great customer support! I recommend this app.

I understand it's a hassle, but could you please try one of the following steps, as it might help resolve the issue?

* Restart both your iPhone and Apple Watch

* Force restart CalCs
  ① With CalCs open, press and hold the side button
  ② When the emergency call and power off screen appears, press and hold the Digital Crown

* Reinstall CalCs
  ① Press the Digital Crown to display the app list
  ② Press and hold CalCs, tap the × button when it appears to delete
  ③ Open the “App Store” app on your Apple Watch
  ④ Scroll to the bottom → “Account” → “Purchased” → “CalCs” → Re-download

If you've already tried these steps, or if the issue persists, I’d appreciate it if you could provide more details—such as which complication is not displaying, or whether the main app opens correctly when tapping the complication. 大変便利に使用させております。「次の3件のイベント」に年月和暦の表示が出来るものがあると、これをモジュラーデュオ上に、その下に「月」を置くと丁度良い気がします。（細かい話ですがカレンダーの間に隙間が空くのが気になるのです。。）

### 4/5 — Great app but would be nice if the aesthetics worked better in some watch faces

In analog faces that allow multi color (like wayfinder) and - it would be good if the bottom portion of the text was red like the stock calendar event rather than all white text. 

Also, for the smaller round complication, would be good if the “next event” did not include the event title. There’s no room for it so it just looks messy. Just have the time of the next event, not the title of it.

First, regarding the color of events.
I'm currently considering whether it’s possible to change the event color to match the calendar’s color,
but there's a challenge: if the calendar color is set to black, the event text becomes completely unreadable.
Fixing the event text color to red might be a good idea, but please allow me a bit more time to consider.

Next, about the event name in the circular complication,
some users prefer having the event name shown,
I would like to leave the current one as is and add a new type that only displays the event time.

딱 내가 원하던 기능이 시계 일부에 전체 풀캘린더를 표시하는 기능이라 이것때문에 애플워치를 다시 착용하기 시작했으나, 공휴일과 임시공휴일을 일요일처럼 빨간색숫자로 표시하는 기능이 아직 없어서 반쪽짜리라고 할수있을듯합니다. 그 기능만 들어가면 500원이 아니라 5천원 5만원이라도 내고 쓸텐데요

This app is really great! However it is difficult to see the descriptions of the different compilations in the Apple Watch app so I have to try them to see what they are (even with the smallest text size) - I hope that makes sense. It is a great app though! :)

Are you referring to the issue where the titles of complications are truncated as "..." in the selection screen of the Watch app on the iPhone?

I am aware of this issue; however, it seems that truncating long titles to "..." is part of the system's specifications.
I have considered using shorter words or abbreviations to reduce the character count, but this also made the titles difficult to understand. As a result, I decided to leave it as it is for now.

On the complication selection screen of the Apple Watch itself, the titles are displayed without truncation, so setting them there currently appears to be the best workaround.

If I come up with another solution or if the specifications of the Watch app on the iPhone change, I plan to address this issue. For the time being, I kindly ask for your understanding.

Hi. I really like this app. If you can fix one minor issue, that would be helpful. There is no space between the last letter of the day of the week and the first number of a two digit month. For example, on the sundial face, the date today is written this way with no space:

FRI12/20

There is no space between the I for Friday and the 1 for December.

Could you change this so it has a space between the day and month? It would then look like this:

FRI 12/20

Obviously for single digit month values, keeping the space as a single space rather than having two spaces is preferred.

The "sundial" face means that the complication is placed at the four corners?

I am aware that it is difficult to see the complications placed in the four corners if there is no space between the day of the week and the month.
On the Apple Watch, which has a small screen size, when the month and day are both two digits and the font width of the day of the week is slightly wider, such as "MON" or "WED", In some cases, there is not enough space to display the day of the week, and "MON 10／..." is displayed in an abbreviated form.

Therefore, the space is removed for crying out loud.

I apologize that it is difficult to see, but please forgive me so that it will not be abbreviated on all sizes of Apple Watch and dates.

### 1/5 — 今日のイベント表示チャート式を試したくて

iPhoneもアップルウォッチも最新のOSで試したが、今日のイベント表示チャートが表示されない。アップルのカレンダーには複数の予定が入っているが全く表示されたない。

リマインダーは全て読み込まれているようで、画面クリックでカレンダーの左側から見ることができる。

長押しで本日の予定に飛ぶこともできるので、予定は把握してるようなのだが、チャート式の画面にはイベント無しという表記になる。

iPhone、アップルウォッチの再起動、インストールのし直しを3回やってみたが改善せず。

使えないこともあるからβ版、ってしてるかな。何が原因かも分からないし、本当に腹立たしい。アップルウォッチのアプリをこれまでにもいくつか買っているが、こんなに分かりづらいのは初めて。星一つもつけたくないくらい。

「予定が入っているが全く表示されたない」、「本日の予定に飛ぶこともできる」とのことですが、
予定が表示されていないのに本日の予定に飛べる、というのがどういう状況なのか、恐れながら理解が及んでおりません。
「リマインダー"は"全て読み込まれている」とのことなので、「本日の予定に飛ぶこともできる」の"予定"は"リマインダー"のこと、ということでしょうか？

上記認識が正しいとすると、mamorukato様のご環境で起きている問題は、
・アプリ本体のイベント・リマインダー一覧画面に、リマインダーしか表示されない
・チャートのコンプリケーションには「イベントなし」と表示される
との理解で正しいでしょうか？
問題を正確に把握するために、まずこの理解が合っているかを確認したいです。

上記理解が正しいとすると、イベントが表示される設定になっていない、もしくはカレンダーへのアクセス権限が正常に許可されていない可能性があります。

イベントが表示される設定になっているかは、アプリ本体のイベント・リマインダー一覧画面右下の歯車ボタンをタップして表示される設定画面で、
カレンダーリストにチェックが入っているかをご確認ください。

アプリ本体のイベント・リマインダー一覧画面やコンプリケーションには、設定画面でチェックが入っているカレンダーのイベントが表示される仕様になっているので、
こちらにチェックが入っていないため表示されない可能性があります。

次にカレンダーへのアクセス権限に関してですが、以下の手順でカレンダーへのフルアクセス権限を許可しなおすことで解決する可能性があります。
①iPhoneの設定アプリの「プライバシーとセキュリティ」の「カレンダー」を開く
②CalCsのカレンダーへのアクセスを一度「なし」に変更し、その後「予定の追加のみ」を選択する
③CalCsを開くと、フルアクセスの許可を求められるので「フルアクセスを許可」をタップする

不安定なので、使うの諦めました。
熱心に問い合わせがありましたので、私はApp作成をできない低レベル知識の者ですが、的確な説明は不可能と思っています。
不安定とは、前日までは2週間のカレンダー表示されていたのに、朝確認したらその部分が何も表示されていないし、再度Apple Watch での設定から設定をし直そうとしたが、このAppのカレンダーの全部が設定から表示されていないので、ガッカリし、私の知識も低レベルの為にこのAppを諦めました。
以上です。今後もっと使いやすくなったら………と期待しています。

Apple Watchを買って初めて導入した有料アプリです。カレンダーがとても見やすく、和暦が記載されているのも書類を書く際に確認するのに便利で助かってます！
今後のアップデートにも期待してます！

以下、ご相談です。
現在、Apple純正のカレンダーアプリに登録している予定がcalcsに反映されておりません。
calcsのカレンダーリストには「日本の祝日」、「誕生日」のみが表示されています。先日追加いただいたリマインダーは問題なく表示されています。
アプリや端末の再起動、アクセス権のリセット等実施していますが、どうやっても反映されません。何か対策がございましたらご教示いただけますでしょうか。

CalCsを購入してアプリをインストール後、Apple Watch6のコンプリケーション文字盤に月カレンダー3週間を表示して上手く使えていたが、突然カレンダー表示が消えて再度iPhoneのWatchアプリでコンプリケーションを表示しようとしても、CalCsが認識されず、iPhoneにアプリが見つからず、AppleStoreで再度CalCsをダウンロードしようとしても購入済みですと表示されてダウンロードできません。 解決方法を教えて下さい。 なお、AppleWatch上にはCalCsアプリは表示されています。

また、ご迷惑をおかけして大変申し訳ありません。

App Storeの説明文にも記載しておりまが、本アプリはwatchOS専用アプリです。なので、iPhoneにはアプリは表示されません。
watchOS専用アプリはiPhone上のApp Storeアプリからは再ダウンロードすることができないので、Apple Watch上のApp Storeアプリから再ダウンロードしていただく必要があります。

また、YouTubeの「Apple Watch Journal」様の以下の動画にて、Apple Watch専用アプリ全般に関してのよくある質問や問題発生時の対策について、
わかりやすく丁寧にご説明いただいております。

iPhoneよりインストールしましたがアプリが起動しません、起動しようとすると一瞬「イベントはありません」と出てCalCsのアイコンに戻ってしまいます。iPhone・Apple Watch共に再起動､ Apple Watchからの削除、再インストール等数回やっても変わりません。 YouTubeで高評価なだけに残念です。

有名YouTuberの動画を観て購入しました。今までは「Calendar Timeline」を愛用してましたが「CalCs」の月表示と次の3件のイベント表示に利便性を感じてます。 モジュラーデュオの上に3週、下に3件イベントを置いて小さいコンプリケーション に降水確率を置けば私の使用目的には一目瞭然でとても有り難いです。 強いて言えば、予定に入れるまでも無いちょっとした事やメモ代わりとしてリマインダーをとても利用する（傘を持って行くとか、納豆を買うとか）期日指定の無い用件、期日指定あっても実行後に直ぐ消す用件とかリマインダー同期があれば助かるかも… taskやtodoです。
ちなみに「Calendar Timeline」はこの機能があるので嬉しいです。
P.S 2024/10/3
とうとうリマインダーが実装されたしたね！
とても有難いし使い勝手良いです。日時指定の無いリマインダーをちょいメモ代わりに使ってますがそれが見れないのが少し残念です。日々進化している「calcs」にとても重宝してますし感謝しています。これからも宜しくお願いします！

日時指定の無いリマインダーは→右スワイプなど如何でしょう？
左スワイプすればカレンダーの月表示が見れて凄く便利なのでその反対側に日時指定の無いリマインダーの一覧とか！コンプリケーション 表示は日時指定してないので要らないかも。
他にもチャート式のタイムラインに「今日のイベント」だけで無く「3日間」、「5日間」もしくは「7日間」表記などあれば先の予定も把握出来てスケジュール管理も一目瞭然かと！
一方的に色々言ってすみません。毎日calcsを使っているので愛着も湧いてあれこれ思いつくので笑

早速のリリース有難うございます。タイムラインの件は了解致しました。重くなるとストレスかかり本末転倒ですもんね。
期日無しのリマインダーはとても有難いです。プチメモとして色々確認出来てとても便利です。これで仕事やプライベートでも予定管理が一目瞭然でライフスタイルがより一層充実出来ます。何から何まで本当に有難うございました。

ひとまず今回のリリースからは省いてしまいました。
うまく表示できないか検討してみます。

まず先に、チャート系のコンプリケーションについてのご要望ですが…
チャート系のコンプリケーションは他のコンプリケーションと比べるとやや処理が重いので、そこに3〜7日間のイベントを表示するのはなかなか難しそうだなというのが率直な印象です。
ですがせっかくご要望いただいたので、実現可能かどうか検討してみます。

また、日時指定のないリマインダーに関してですが、
先ほど、日時指定のないリマインダーも表示するように修正したバージョン(1.26)をリリースいたしました。
右スワイプ側の画面は、今後何か大きく表示の異なる画面を追加したいときのために取っておきたく、日時指定のないリマインダーはイベント一覧表示の最上部に表示するようにさせていただきました。
画面の最上部をタップするとすぐそこにスクロールできますし、ロングタップをすると現在のイベントやリマインダーのところにもすぐ戻れるので、使い勝手を損ねることもあまりないかなと…

Apple Watchのモジュラー文字盤にて、コンプリケーションを「Month」に設定した際、文字のサイズが小さすぎる問題が発生しています。
「Month (Start on Monday)」に設定すると正常な文字サイズで表示されます。他の項目は全て正常なサイズなのですが、「Month」に設定した場合にのみ文字が極端に小さく表示されます。
文字が潰れてしまって読みにくく、見た目も良くないため、修正していただけると幸いです。

大変申し訳ないですが、「Month」のフォントサイズが小さくなってしまう場合があるのは仕様であり、対応は難しいです。
理由を以下に説明いたします。

今月(2026年5月)の場合「Month (Start on Monday)」では5週ですが、「Month」の場合は6週になってしまいます。
そのため表示領域が足りず、フォントサイズを小さくせざるをえません。

5週に収まる月(例えば2026年6月)の場合は、「Month」でも大きいフォントサイズになります。
逆に、「Month (Start on Monday)」であっても6週になってしまう月(例えば2026年8月)では小さいフォントサイズになってしまいます。

常に同じフォントサイズで表示したい場合は、以下の2つの方法をお試しいただけないでしょうか？

・モジュラーデュオ文字盤で、上部に「Month (1st Half)」、下部に「月(後半)」を設置する
  なお、(SEシリーズや、シリーズ6以前のモデルではモジュラーデュオ文字盤は使えません)

・モジュラー文字盤で「5 Week (Last Week-3 Weeks Later)」、「5 Week (This Week-4 Weeks Later)」などのコンプリケーションを使う
  (こちらのコンプリケーションはその月全体を表示するのではなく、5週分のカレンダーを可変で表示するタイプになります)
  
対応できず大変心苦しいですが、上記をお試しいただけたら幸いです。

いつもApple Watchで使っててスケジュールが見れてとても重宝してます。開発者の方には感謝しております。
一点だけ、欲しい機能があるとすれば、カレンダーの月曜始まり、日曜始まりのところでGoogleカレンダーが土曜始まりの設定もあり、それが対応されるといいなと思ってます。これは気持ちの問題なんですが、月曜日がすでに週の3日目にあるので気持ち的に楽で自身のiPhoneのカレンダーはそうしてます。

Love that this app was under a dollar and has no monthly fee. Simple to display next 3 events. A little slow when the app is opened, but really unnecessary to do often. Would love to remove am/pm to display more of the title of the event.

長らく存在は知っておりましたが、いままで純正機能のみでなんとか運用しようとしておりました。
ですが、純正機能のみだと限界を感じて、先日はじめてこちらのアプリをインストールしてみたところ、その利便性やカスタマイズ性に驚きました。
これから、おそらくずっと使っていくことになりそうです。
