It’s very frustrating. I don’t always have a lot of signal I need this to work offline too. I need to be able to keep working on things anytime I can save to device and they disappear more often. Just gone. So frustrated. I need to be able to rename the calculations not just have them numbered with date and time. Whatever text I put at top should be the name but it’s not. It was on a couple idk how I managed that but not anymore. ### 4/5 — Can the pages be locked to prevent deletion *2025-10-04* I really like this app and have been using it for years. I have several pages to keep on track of payments etc. I would really like to see a function where the page is harder to clear as a few times my data has been wiped in error. I feel like it’s more updated on Android. Just the fact you can create notes while performing calculations makes it a great choice. Their website have a web version where you can try, they even have a free PC version. ### 5/5 — This is a handy Calculator app *2024-06-15* I am using this app since around 5-6 years without any issues. Unlike other similar apps available for iOS, I like the tape format which helps me to continue performing my new calculations… while the old calculations are still available for future reference. I also like the feature that helps me to save calculations under different tape names, because at a later date I can reopen the saved tape (as if it is like a document) related to a particular matter and refer my old calculations. However, I am disappointed to see that the developer has almost stopped updating (or enhancing) this app, because I see the last update was released around 1 year ago. I would like to see more frequent updates to keep this useful app alive. Also it didn’t give permission to direct copy to paste in another apps such as WhatsApp telegram where we want to send. The copied material should not be scratchpad or pdf. I am still unable to load application calctape... ### 1/5 — Amazing but no dark mode *2024-02-11, version 6.0.6* I bought it years ago and uninstalled it because of dark mode, and today(Feb 2024) after years it still doesn’t support dark mode even though it supports Themes and has a “night” mode! Which darkens half of the UI. ### 1/5 — Used for years, now it’s falling apart *2023-11-13* I’ve used for years and it was my go to instead of a regular calculator. The biggest feature was that you could make an ABC formatted comment next to a numeric item you’re calculating. Now no matter how you enter the numeric item, and then want to add an ABC formatted comment, it won’t work. I also have a persistent very old entry I can’t delete. The app now shuts down frequently in middle of entering numbers or comments. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn’t work. I also lost a year old item I had stored in the cloud that I referred to often and made tweaks. I opened it today, with latest update…it’s simply GONE. It coincided with my installing the iPad vs of this for the first time today. I guess selecting to save things in the cloud, means anything saved local (because I’m such a long time user) caused me to lose access to the file. It worked so well. Like most apps, you need a trash can (at least if something is accidentally deleted by you can retrieve it), and settings how to save should be available not just at initial app install. With iOS 15 on my iPhone, the bottom row of keys: 0, ., %, = are cut off. This makes calculations frustrating as that essential row of keys are unresponsive, require multiple presses, or cause unintentional app switching. Developers have never responded to emails.
