More than math facts
Calcugators is more than math facts. It encourages a higher level of thinking. And would help to lead into algebra. It is also enjoyable to play. I recommend.

Great for the classroom!
This app is great for all elementary children. WIth 4 levels of difficulty, there's something for everyone. It's not just basic addition. Kids have to do a little extra thinking to figure out which numbers to feed the alligator. On a hard level, you might need to feed the alligator a number like 53. You have to pick 4 numbers to feed to the alligator that adds up to 53. The answer might be 25 + 14 + 8 + 6. There will be 2 numbers on the bottom that don't work. You have to figure out which 4 are correct. Kids love it!

Great app, why did they make it easier??
This is a well done app for addition practice. In the past year or so it has been edited to make it easier, which I am honestly quite disappointed with. There should be a level one that is easy, of course. The increasing levels used to be conceptually more challenging, with each gator having more than one number in its mouth, but now there is really not much difference from level 1 to 4.
