Also there should be a clear button. I need those 2 buttons more then ever. Also if you added a M+ M- that would be amazing. I'd happily pay 80 for your app then! It's so close. But without the clear and equals buttons I find myself defaulting to a different app. Please fix and I'll give you my money! Also it's way too easy to scroll to history or any of the other pages when entering numbers. I'm not old. Its a problem. **Developer response:** Our app has different approach to use live calculation instead of using equal sign. = was added for people who still need it. But that is not the main core functionality. As you can see we had to hide not only one button as we cant’t fit them all in one keypad. How can you finish a stupid simple calculation? I don’t care what extra functionality you provide, if I can’t simply input a calculation, find the equal button, get the response and move on to another calculation, you’ve made it stupidly complex. **Developer response:** If you press and hold on % you will see the equal button. We designed Calcularium without a need to use equal button as you can see a result right away. I am delighted. This is the best calculator of ANY kind. As a physicist, mathematician and programmer I really appreciate the easy access to constants of all kinds, unit conversions, base arithmetic, RPN. It’s all in there. It turns my iPad into the ultimate calculator and numerical tool. It all works the way you would expect it to. Get it now—you will not be disappointed. ### 5/5 — Beautiful app *2019-12-19* This is one of the most beautiful multifunctional calculators on the AppStore. But I have a request and suggestion to make this even better. I wish it had other scientific calculators like molarity, molality, normality and other dilution calculators which are used by the scientific community. Not sure what was going on, but dumped the app ASAP. ### 1/5 — Last update removed the calculator widget *2021-10-17, version 3.6.14* Calculator widget was the only part of this app I used, and the last update removed it. ### 1/5 — cannot evaluate before buying *2020-04-17* This developer wants you to buy the “all mighty” version of the app before you can do something as simple as evaluating the expression 12x2. There is not a “=“, or enter button, etc. that would allow 12x2 to be evaluated to 24. I think it’s shady for this developer to require the “all mighty” version to be purchased before providing basic functionality in the calculator for evaluation purposes **Developer response:** Almost all the features open to use, basics like 12x2 there is no limitation at all. Difference from other calculators we have "=" button, but that is not our main goal, it is a reactive calculation that calculate while you type. There is a button "=" in % (long press to reveal) and more options are here too. Almighty version is locking more than 4 calculations, more than 1 conversion, more than 1 constant or custom function, and some limitation on input types. But basic calculation, collapsing, using standard or own function aren't blocked. Sorry that might be confusing, but that how we designed it to be reactive tool. ### 1/5 — A calculator without a zero *2019-10-29, version 3.6.1* The watch app only has digits 1 through 9. Utterly useless calculator on the Apple Watch. ### 1/5 — Too ambitious *2019-10-20, version 3.6* This calculator is confusing and difficult to use because it appears to be trying to do too much. [Note to developer: at no point have I said this is "complex"; I use other calculators with far greater functionality very successfully]. Slick graphics do not always help, especially when some of them get in the way of what one is attempting (with some difficulty) to actually calculate. I'm sure the developer knows how to use this effectively, but I've struggled to do what I've previously achieved easily with other apps. Please simplify it and make its sometimes unexpected and peculiar graphics easier to read. [Edit after being contacted by developer]… I've just downloaded this again, in order to re-appraise. The interface is poor. The calculator is set too low on the screen, very close to the annoying advertising strip as if trying to encourage an accidental click upon it. This further slows down use of the awkward button layout - which itself requires too much effort due to its small font and unusual spacing set in large space. Continuing my effort to familiarise, I was presented with a strange (and very difficult to read) instruction which waved around repeatedly. This was another unwelcome distraction which I eventually worked out was telling me to shake my iPad 'to undo'; but since it sits mostly on a desk like a small laptop, often on charge, I have no desire to pick it up and thrash it about! I could continue this review, but what's the point? I've already spent too long bothering (twice) and have no desire to follow up the suggestion that I also email developer! I don't like this app. There it is, plain and simple. I think the two star rating you first received from me was more than fair. …Another edit after seeing the disgraceful statement now made by the developer that I have made "false statements". Why would anyone do such a thing? I've stated the facts of my experience, plain and simple; and then gone into greater detail to explain further, as you asked. I set out to help you by giving my opinion. Then, after being notified of your response, I had another look to see if I'd been "harsh" as you claim, and after you'd asked what I was finding "complex". You asked for feedback. Here it is, again… My opinion is that this calculator is awkward to use. I'm pleased for you that others like it; but my review can only be based on my own experience. I find it really awkward and I do not like it, at all. Comes with a large collection of tutorials to help users get the most out of the many features this app provides. I love that I paid for the Almighty version awhile back and they haven’t tried to squeeze more money from me. There is definitely honor in this company. They do offer subscriptions that provide many apps, I may consider trying them as the need arises. Have to add numbers only or subtract them only. Heaven forbid you want to divide!
