Then, one day it stopped working. Didn’t even get a heads up. I am in need of a trustworthy app. I understand everyone needs to make money but, for a single person operation, every penny counts. Are you out of your mind?!? I used to love this app when it was TieredCaker. I have a new device and was forced to download the New app and you want me to pay $36 a year. That’s insane!! Not user friendly and the fact that you have to pay for different shapes for cakes is frustrating! I used TieredCaker for a few years and loved it, was easy to use, I had no problems navigating the app and it made life much easier because it was quick and efficient. This new revision is awful! I would not mind paying for it, if it was the old TieredCaker app, that was updated in a user friendly manner. I’m even more angry that I can’t even use the old version that I had, because the creators have not updated to IOS 11 for the old app! This really is disappointing and I would not recommend it! ### 3/5 — Love it, but... *2018-03-14, version 2.0.1* I used the old app and loved it. I used it all the time with my cake business. I always thought it was a great bargain and was surprised that it was so inexpensive. I’ve done the one-day access of the new version and definitely like the new stuff and definitely think it is worth $35. I do, however, have a problem with the fact that my old version suddenly stopped working and I didn’t realize that it had until I was in front of a client. And the price jump, now an annual fee, was quite a jump at one time. I’ve cut back on my orders and have to decide if I think it is worth it for the occasional cakes I now do. ### 1/5 — price is too high for this one *2017-12-31, version 2.0* Loved the old app and don’t mind paying for this one, but the price is way too high. I’ll just go old school with excel or find another app that’s cheaper. I will never pay a yearly fee for this sort of app, especially not $35! I only pay 99¢ a month for Microsoft office! And $35? I don’t pay that much for my monthly Pro cake training/subscription services . Very disappointed. I really loved Tiered Caker, but I will just have to adjust to using another app that charges a one time fee. ***Edit: Thanks for clarifying... One random day the software would not work with a new iOS update, and it forced you to pay an exorbitant amount for a “subscription” to access the same content you previously paid for. While day passes are available, it’s frustrating that to be charged more for the same previously bought information- especially without warning those who already paid. ### 1/5 — Took my money *2021-03-02, version 2.0.1* I just purchased the $15.99 for 1 year and excited cuz it shows me the round cakes which I do a lot.. but unfortunately when I exit to answer a text and came back my purchase is not there and they want me to purchase another year for the round cakes that I already did.. not cool.. don’t if I can get my money.. so frustrating ### 1/5 — Did not receive my subscription *2020-11-24, version 2.0.1* I had been using the app for over a year, and it was time to renew. When I tried to renew for 39.99, the system did not provide me my update. It was like a glitch occurred, and it kept going back to upgrade. I emailed support, and I got nothing. Fantastic! ### 4/5 — Missing Sphere Shape Cakes *2018-10-09, version 2.0.1* I love this app. The only thing that is missing is “sphere shaped cakes”. Adding this feature would be amazing to Bakers that work with all shaped cakes. Sphere cake are great when making 3D sport ball shapes, round shape fruits or vegetables and even fancy sphere shape for weddings, sweet sixteen, baby showers, etc. Hopefully this feature will be added very soon 🙏🏽🎂🙏🏽🎂🙏🏽🎂🙏🏽🎂 ### 4/5 — Good program! *2018-04-10, version 2.0.1* This is a good program to use. ### 3/5 — Cake *2019-12-27, version 2.0.1* I absolutely loved the original app. It was amazing and so very easy to use, although this one is ok, I much prefer the way the old one operated. I don’t want to discourage the app maker as I am hoping that he reviews all the reviews and finds a way of merging and fixing people’s concerns. I have to problem paying for awesome apps that can help get the work done. ### 3/5 — Ridiculously expensive *2018-07-29* Extremely overpriced upgrade costs but otherwise seems like a useful tool. Don’t think it’s worth the price. ### 3/5 — Not quite worth it *2018-03-29, version 2.0.1* I purchased the original TieredCaker and had it downloaded on all of my devices, until it one day stopped working. No forewarnings, just an automatic switch that came with a new phone software update, and reduced/restricted access in the free version. I’m sure the extra features are neat in theory, but had they left basic round tiers in the free version, that would’ve been more widely accepted by users. Thus far I’ve purchased two- daily use- upgrades and can assure that I will be removing this app and finding another to take its place. A $40 yearly fee is pretty hefty, especially when people have already paid for this app to begin with, they’re not likely to pay twice for the same thing, just because the developer restructured.
