I inputted 16^0.5, for example, and it doesn't work. iPad3 iOS6. ### 1/5 — PEMDAS *2012-04-13* I'm in algebra and I needed to check my homework, so I got this app. But it kept giving really high numbers. I did some experimenting and found out it doesn't have one of the most basic functions of a calculator PEMDAS, or Parenthesis Exponents Multiplication Division Addition Subtraction. This an order you do things in a problem. Example: (5+2) + 5^2 + 5 x 2. This equals 42 but the calculator will say 298 therefor you really need to fix this because this will cause many problems to be wrong. Until fixed this should be taken down. I had to uninstall it due to no personal add on image as it is not in facing portrait mode... But is gorgeous in reliability, it helped me out. And I own the full pro version not the free .. .. ### 1/5 — Buggy *2016-07-23* I tried to use this app, and I thought this app would be nice and friendly, but the app is too buggy. I really hate that because once I turned my phone into sideways, the app closed and kick me out. I tried to tap the app so I need to use it, but it turned black. Now, it restarts my phone and I have to wait 5 minutes for the app to start loading. Please fix that! Also, order of operations is what you need to work on! 5+3*2 does not equal to 16! The answer is 11! Oh, you think that since addition come first in the problem, then you add first? Don't you learn that from school? I guess that you weren't pay attention when the teachers taught you math. Is that true? If no, then why you din't even know order of operations. Now, I am your teacher. You use PEMDAS as your order of operation. This stand for Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally. Or Parentheses, Exponent, Multiplication, Division, Addition, and Subtraction. You do parenthesis first. Then exponent. You either do division or multiplication first if they appear first. You do it before addition and subtraction. No matter if addition or subtraction comes before multiplication or division, you always do them BEFORE addition and subtraction. Again no matter if addition and subtraction comes first, you do one of them in the order from left to right. Do you understand me? If no, then piaaaa ### 1/5 — Nothing but ads. *2016-07-21* Good luck using this "app", huge ads pop up constantly. Try and change the wallpaper and the calculator flips upside down. Your can set a custom plain bg (shoot a table top photo or something) for ease of seeing numbers and the paper tape feature (you can see the string of numbers and calcs you're using) is super helpful. You can even email that tape to others. It is possible the glitches don't show for some time, but, as I said, no issues. Maybe it has to do with what I-device it runs on. I have iPod.
