It could be implemented in a similar manner to keyboard or dictionary add-ons. I’d love to be able to quickly switch from Basic or Scientific calculators to a functional template of a Ti-86 or Ti-83, mirroring the button layout and graphing functions. Same goes for other industry specific calculators for engineering, machining, construction, finance, gardening/agriculture, and so many more possibilities. Of course there are full apps that cater to those fields, but I’d much rather they be integrated into the official Calculator iOS app. Short of that kind of functionality, the convert feature of the app really needs to expand the units of each category.
