Today, I’m deleting it. Not because it’s a bad calculator. I just had an ad pop up that said my phone is at risk and they’ve detected I’ve been on adult porn sites. They told me the solution is to click the “OK” button, download the app and then run a “clean up file”. This is absolute BS!!! I wish I could post the screenshot!! ### 1/5 — ADpocalypse! *2026-03-31, version 7.1* Used this calculator app for 9 years cause Apple's basic app at that time didn't have scientific functions. It was great until developer got insanely greedy just within the past year. I didn't mind the banner ads, those were around since the beginning and they gotta make some money. Then dev decided to add a timer that autoplays a video ad on your entire screen every 4 minutes the app is open! If that wasn't obnoxious enough, it now plays a video ad if you let it sit for a few seconds after EVERY SINGLE CALCULATION YOU DO. That did it for me. Thankfully, it seems that years later Apple has finally added a scientific calculator to their calculator app so I won't be needing this one anymore. ### 1/5 — A calculator app with periodic full screen ads. It’s so easy to plug in the numbers exactly how I want them. Who cares if there are ads? The 15-30 second video just plays at the beginning. It’s not that big of a deal. There are so many things that you can do on the calculator that are free. If you’re in high school, you’ll be fine. Usually apps give you very limited options before you have to pay; this app is not like that, which I really appreciate.
